Exe Sevilla Macarena

First of all, I want to compliment the staff at Exe Sevilla Macarena. They were so helpful, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, I do believe that the staff were put under undue resource pressure which lowered their ability to be able to provide the experience we expected, especially for the money that we paid. We stayed from 08.10.2026 - 11.10.2026 and throughout that period there was only ever ONE person to cover the hotel bar and the rooftop bar could never open as there were never enough staff to man it. Due to further staff shortages this also meant that the bar person had to frequently leave to help other departments which meant that us as guests would have to go to the reception to call the bar person back. I do not blame the staff or the floor managers for this but the upper management for not putting on / hiring enough staff for that weekend to manage the number of people staying. We also had issues throughout our stay with wifi. This could have been a fantastic stay at a great hotel but the above marred our experience substantially for what should have been a relaxing and romantic weekend.

I personally had a great experience in this hotel, firstly when I arrived at 10am they were more than happy to let me use the pool services while I waited for check in, the room was lovely and clean and they even upgraded my room to a city view with a small balcony. The air conditioning also worked very well, whilst you can’t control the exact temperature it has low and high settings which were plenty! Especially for the price it was a great hotel and I’d definitely return!

Have just stayed at this hotel! Had a double room with views no breakfast. Was a lovely sized room and bathroom exactly what was needed. Everything was clean. The service provided was appreciated too. The rooftop pool was a big selling point huge pool (could have more beds) but great to have. Not central Seville but taxis cost €8 max from the hotel to main attractions. All I could hear from my room was people moving chairs really not that much of an issue. I saw some mixed reviews but I think we were very lucky with this hotel!

Great Stay with a Rooftop Pool! ​I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I tried two different room types during my visit: the double room was incredibly spacious and big, while the single room was a bit small but perfectly fine for one person. Both rooms featured a large, nice bathroom. ​The absolute highlight of the hotel is the rooftop swimming pool—it was the perfect, fun escape from the Seville heat, though I did miss having an open poolside bar to enjoy a cold beer. Breakfast was excellent, offering a massive variety including plenty of traditional Spanish options. Combined with a great, convenient location, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
