I am so glad I signed up for this class. The instructor was great! We followed her instructions making our own kimchi (three different kinds). She also provided us lunch with several different dishes. I had a good time and highly recommend this class for everyone.

This was such a fun experience with such an amazing host! I learned a lot more than I thought I would and had a really fun time doing it. You even get to try some amazing homemade food which I wasn’t expecting. I’d highly recommend this fun hands-on experience ☺️
We had an excellent expierence with the Kimchi cooking classs! Grace was very kwowledgeble and welcoming. She is very passionate about making kimchi and she did a marvelous job in passing her love for kimchi to us. I would highly recommend this wonderful experience by Grace. 🥬
Really loved this Little Big Kimchi school. Grace was so knowledgeable and the tradition has been in her family for many generations. The lunch at the end was spectacular 🙏
The perfect kimchi experience!!! 🤩 Great host, great kimchi tradition story telling, perfect food tasting, perfect welcoming, Seoul tips and location! Thanks Grace, the best first day in Seoul that I could immagine ❤️
Went with my mum and brother and made 3 different types of kimchi and got to bring them home. It’s a really hands on workshop. Grace is very passionate and informative about kimchi and is a great cook. Nice, small and cosy class and great value for money. Definitely recommend for everybody :)
This was such a unique, wonderful experience I’d fully recommend to anyone visiting Seoul! Grace was so kind and friendly, explained everything clearly and demonstrated all methods step by step. I learned plenty about Korean history and traditions, and understood the deep cultural meaning kimchi holds for local people. I got to make kimchi dishes myself, enjoy a homemade lunch afterwards, and take my handmade kimchi home as a souvenir. I also received a full recipe guide to recreate everything later. Truly an unforgettable cultural activity!
My wife and I took this class last time we were in Korea. It was amazing. Grace was so kind and a great teacher. Learned a lot and had some delicious food. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Korea.
The kimchi workshop with Grace was one of the highlights of our trip to Korea! Everything was perfectly organized, the equipment was great, and Grace provided a lot of information about kimchi and Korean culture in general. And most of all, the kimchi we made as well as the kimchi pancakes were definitely the best I ever had! I fully recommend this experience to everyone who is interested in kimchi and Korean food!
Grace welcomed us into her home and taught us how to make 3 types of Kimchi. She was very detailed explaining fermentation and the different aging of kimchi. We left with a big jar of kimchi that we made. We also made kimchi pancakes and then she served us kimchi and pork which was delicious. I highly recommend this experience. You will be ready to make delicious kimchi when you get home!
fabulous,Grace was a wonderful host from our tea to start, hands on making kimchi and a huge jar to take home.highly recommend, even for non cookers like my husband!
Hands down one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken! The host, Grace, is incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. The class took place in her home, which made the experience feel intimate and personal. She teaches you the 'why' and 'how' behind every step of the process, and she even provided a container for the batch of kimchi we made—it was perfectly sealed and survived the trip home in our luggage! Beyond the kimchi, we learned to make savory kimchi pancakes and were treated to a traditional meal of boiled pork and mandu that Grace prepared to complement our work. She also shared a list of local restaurant recommendations; we tried three of them, and they were all phenomenal. If you’re in Seoul and looking for an authentic cooking class, don’t hesitate—just book this one. Thank you again, Grace!
This kimchi course exceeded all my expectations! The instructor explained every step clearly, from selecting the right ingredients to mastering the fermentation process. I loved learning the history and cultural significance behind kimchi, which made the experience even more meaningful. The hands-on approach made it easy to follow along, and I left feeling confident enough to make my own kimchi at home. The tips and techniques shared were incredibly helpful, and the final product was absolutely delicious. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone looking to improve your fermentation skills, I highly recommend this course. It was informative, fun, and well organized—a fantastic experience from start to finish!
One of the best things you can do while visiting Seoul, is to take this kimchi class. You will love this class and have the best teacher named Grace. Grace is kind, fun, patient and has a passion for kimchi and food seen through the history of Korea and her own family. She cares about the quality of ingredients and has so much knowledge to share. You will try kimchi fermented for different lengths of time and the kimchi I made in class tasted incredible. The homemade meal that Grace provides will be one of the best you have in Seoul. She is an amazing cook! I still dream of that kimchi pancake all the time. This class is worth your time and money because you will leave with a full, happy belly and some fun memories of making Korean food with good company. You get to take your own homemade kimchi home, which you can even take on the plane. I highly recommend this class!
Update to my original review: I have successfully replicated kimchi in the United States as well as those amazing kimchi pancakes! There were a few hiccups the first time I tried, but Grace was so kind and helped me troubleshoot what went wrong. Mind you, this was WEEKS after I took the class, and she definitely didn’t need to but I think that speaks volumes about the kind of host she is. I make it often for my friends and family and it is a crowd pleaser! I now also have a kimchi fridge in my home. To this day, I stand by my original review that this was one of the highlights of our trip and the only cooking class I have ever taken (and I usually take one in every country I visit) that I have been able to replicate back home. If you want an authentic experience with a local that isn’t just a quick in quick out tourist experience, this is the one you’re looking for. My original review: Where do I even start. If I could put down 10 stars I would. This was definitely one of the highlights of our three week Asia trip. Grace was so knowledgeable about all things kimchi, and a deep rooted family history in kimchi! We learned about the different types of kimchi as well as a little bit of the science and history behind kimchi. The class was so well organized. In the ~3 hour time span there was never a dull moment. We were either actively making something, learning about something, or eating. She makes kimchi making so approachable and I’m determined to try it when I get home and probably buy a kimchi fridge. We also learned how to make kimchi pancakes and I’ve honestly never had better. We were so stuffed by the end. Grace is so sweet and this whole experience felt like I was learning from my sister. She also gave me advice on skin care and gave us recs for the remainder of our trip. If you’re on the fence about it, just book the class. I promise you won’t regret it.
I was looking for some class to learn more about kimchi and how to make it, when we were ending our summer visit of Korea in Seoul. This is the one I visited and it was great. Grace is well prepared, she will teach you to make 3 types of kimchi, she will guide you through history and detailed processes and you will remember more thanks to a mini quiz ;) The whole experience of kimchi making is complemented by excelent food, kimchi pancake & 찌게 with rice&egg. What is the best, I took home my kimchi I prepared and from that time, I'm making regularly about 1kg of kimchi per week 👍 Thank you Grace. I'm looking forward for another authentic korean culinary experience this summer.
I would HIGHLY recommend this cooking experience. Of the many that are available I am glad I chose those one with Grace. Not only did we make different types of Kimchi and have a wonderful meal, but just so much to learn and hear. And who doesn’t want to take kimchi home with them?! Such a great experience. Great time and great company and you’ll meet some great people I’m sure along the way. *Update* I had my kimchi fermenting for little over two months and it’s amazing. Probably going to make soup with it.
I joined Grace’s kimchi-making class during my visit to Seoul, and it was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. Grace is an exceptional teacher—warm, knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about Korean food. She made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The class was very well organized, and her kitchen was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly set up for learning. What impressed me most was how much knowledge Grace shared. She explained not only how to make kimchi, but also the history, traditions, ingredients, and techniques behind it. Her family’s experience in the kimchi business was evident, and I learned so many practical tips that I still use today. Since taking her class, I have made multiple batches of kimchi at home in Australia. In fact, my family loves it so much that I can’t imagine living without kimchi now! The confidence and inspiration I gained from this class encouraged me to explore Korean cooking even further. If you are visiting Seoul and interested in Korean food, culture, or cooking, I cannot recommend this class highly enough. Thank you, Grace, for such a memorable experience and for inspiring a lifelong love of making kimchi at home. ❤️
Grace was amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about kimchi. I was lucky and there was only one other guest for this experience and we both enjoyed this immensely. Everything tasted so good, and it was just plain fun. I’m also excited to take home the kimchi we made and share it with friends and family.
Grace is a wonderful teacher and hostess. She is clearly very passionate about the history and culture behind kimchi in Korea. This passion was infectious. But it’s not all just learning - it was great fun making the kimchi and then cooking some dishes. I can’t even describe how delicious the food was - so make sure you come a little hungry. I would highly recommend booking in with Grace - good fun and great food.
Great activity! We loved this immersion with the locals. Everything is perfectly organized, clean, and the explanations are clear from start to finish. Grace is really super nice, smiling, and welcoming. You can feel her passion and expertise: she comes from a family that traditionally makes Kimchi, and it shows! The products used are of excellent quality. We actually ate on-site at the end of the activity, and everything was really very good! The atmosphere perfectly combines friendliness and sharing. A wonderful moment to experience! I went there with my husband and my 11-year-old son, and they absolutely loved the experience. I recommend it 100%!
