Just a heads up: expect a decent hill climb on this tour! That said, the reward is well worth the effort. The night views of Seoul were awesome, and stopping by the cafe offered another fantastic viewpoint. Wrapping up the hike with a delicious dinner was a highlight—it was especially great for talking, socializing, and really getting to know the other travelers in the group. A must-do if you enjoy scenic views, good food, and meeting people!

Beautiful hike to incredible views of the city and stops at really charming cafe and restaurant that we never would have found on our own. Thomas was a great tour guide-friendly and shared lots of interesting local knowledge. The path is steep in places-our group ranged in age from 12-80, and we managed it, but it is a real climb and footing a little uneven or gravelly in places. I highly recommend.
Great tour. Small group, very informative. Fantastic food. Thomas was a great guide and knew what he was talking about.
I had a really great time on this tour. We hiked next to the city wall, sat down for a tea, watch the sunset, and relax. During the hikong, Alex the tour guide told me a lot of stories about the area, and about the history of the city wall. It was a pleasure to have this company during the hike. Also, don't forget about the food. It was excellent. The restaurant was very authenthic and the steamed pork with kimchi and the korean pancake are a must have experience. Recommended for everybody.
Jin was super cool and amazing. His knowledge and history of Seoul is great, he explained everything perfectly and the coffee house and Korean bbq dinner was excellent. If you come to Seoul look him up and take his tour
Jin was such a lovely host. His knowledge and care unforgettable. It's quite an easy hike and really enjoyable
Jin is a great host and tour leader. We never would have seen some of the places in Seoul if we hadn’t gone on this tour. Wear your tennis shoes, because you’ll be hiking up and down by the city wall. The Korean BBQ was in a back alley and so delicious. A real authentic experience. Don’t miss this tour!
Beautiful walk along the Fortress wall in Seoul. This is an easy uphill walk with views over Seoul. The cafe spot is the perfect combination of gorgeous sunset views and a pretty nice long black. Dinner was the best I've had in Korea. Our guide Joon was very knowledgeable about a variety of topics and you could also see his passion for good food. Thanks for a memorable tour Joon, it's one of my favourites
I love how Jin was so knowledgeable about the area. It's easy to tell how his love for the area, history, and the people. Saw some amazing scenery, great food, and made new friends. Also made a side trip to the batting cages to help digest out dinner. Highy recommend!!
He never showed up. Super disappointed! Don’t sign up for this tour. I think Viator should not work with him going forward
This was a lot of fun for my friends and me. We thought it was going to be a chill stroll through a park when really it was about a 20-30 minute trek (with breaks) up a steep hill with stairs. It was more physically demanding and sweat inducing than anticipated but it was absolutely beautiful when we got to the top. The guide was good about taking breaks when we got off the incline, and we stopped at an adorable tea cafe to chat and learn more about Korea. After that, we went to dinner and had the best food of our entire trip. The hike definitely made us hungry and yet, we still didn't finish it all. I would 100% recommend this if you are looking for something more physical with a great meal at the end.
We had a lovely pre-dinner stroll with Jin. He took us to two places we most likely would not have discovered without him. He shared some history of Korea, as well as current events. The dinner was exceptional as well as authentic. I will book with Jin when we return to Korea.
The tour guide did not show up after I had called and texted a few times. He finally responded saying he never received the notification, but I was utterly disappointed that he didn't have the decency to return my call. A call would have shown he was truly sorry. I am being nice by giving 2 stars when it should be a 1. I'd go for tours that have more reviews (experience). The communication has been stellar for those. Viator Support was also extremely communicative.
A great evening spent with Jin. He was very personable, a true gentleman and considerate of everyone on the tour. There were many laughs, great history lesson of the fortress and Seoul in general plus easy communication. Jin took us to a great Cafe with decks overlooking the Seoul skyline. It was spectacular. So was the Omija High Ball he suggested. Dinner was at a differnt location and we experienced Korean BBQ. WOW it was awesome. Thanks Jin for a memorable night filled with conversation and laughs. Truly one of the top highlights of our trip. Huge thanks 😊
Such a good tour and experience!!! I would recommend 1000%. I did this tour solo on the day I arrived in Seoul and it provided me with a quick intro into Korean cultures and lay of the land. After a quick stroll, we were able to enjoy a refreshing beverage with some priceless views and ended the night with a delicious bbq dinner. The perfect way to start my adventures in Korea. Our guide Jin was excellent!!! Very friendly personable informative and fun!!!
This was a terrific tour and Jin was awesome! He shared great history along the walk, the scenery was beautiful and the food and drink planned was delicious! He was a great host and I highly recommend.
Tour operator changed time from 6:30 pm (posted time) to 4 pm about 3 hours before departure time. When reminded of posted time for tour the tour operator cancelled the tour all together and refused to return text messages or phone calls. I had to spend hours on the phone yo get money back
Theo who was our guide is an awesome guy, he is very knowledgeable and funny guy. This tour was well worth the time and money, great company, people, food and views of the fortress wall and the city. I can tell you that the guys that take this tour make the experience special. 10/10
Theo was our tour guide and he was great. My mom and I had a really good time and we met some funny people. We laughed all night! Thanks again Theo and good luck!!!! 🤗
Jin was a fun tour guide using he's local knowledge of Seoul to take us to a lovely cafe and onto a restaurant for a Korean dinner. A bit of walking involved so not for those who have difficulty walking otherwise highly recommend.
I had a wonderful evening and can only recommend it. For me it was a good decision because I was traveling alone.
Although, I was solo on the tour and older than my guide Jin. He was amazing, making sure my experience was enjoyable. The tour started with a walk in Naksan Park that really works up an appetite. And for dinner I had the pork rib stew and it was delicious. I would recommend this tour because of the price, and you get a chance to see a quaint neighborhood in Seoul.
We had a great time with Myeongjin. He took our group for a walk on the fortress wall with the first stop at a local bar. The views over the city were great as the sun was setting. We continued down to the restaurant where we enjoyed several Korean dishes. I would highly recommend this tour. Great scenery and the food was great!
Jeon Myeongjin our host was a really humorous and fun guy. His easy going ways and relaxed manner made the small group of 8 feel comfortable and at ease just like a group of familiar friends. As a solo traveller it is difficult to eat Korean BBQ alone so this experience gave me the opportunity to have Korean BBQ.
I went on this tour when I visited Seoul during the wintertime. It wasn't the best weather out, and I almost reconsidered going, but I'm happy I did because I had a great time with Jin. He was a kind and amicable tour guide who took us to some great places to eat and drink Korean beer and local food! He speaks English fluently as he had a strong interest in American culture, which makes him a really great person to talk to about cultural differences. The main thing I wanted to point out, though, is you don't need to take my word for it. Jin was surprised I booked through Viator; that's because he has over 100 reviews on another tour website under the title "Night hike on Seoul's fortress walls & local food experience", so make sure to read the reviews there too.
Our guide, Jin, along with his friend, Park, were great! It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening seeing the night lights of Seoul and enjoying Korean beer followed by dinner of traditional Korean dishes and makgeolli. The small group size was perfect allowing for fun, lots of laughs and enjoyable conversations. I highly recommend this experience. You won’t regret it.
