Seoul: Small Group Cheorwon Dmz Tour With Lunch

We had an amazing experience with Chris. The group was small and he took us by car. Chris' english is excellent, and he is knowledgeable and well-informed. He added various fascinating sights along the way, so we felt as if we had 5 tours in one! Highly recommended and well worrh the price.

This is a well organized and packed tour. I’m glad I chose this tour over the Paju DMZ. Other tour companies encouraged me to go to Paju instead of Cheorwon, but I feel like it was a better experience for me and less crowded. The tour guide Chris is very knowledgeable and kind. The lunch was delicious. Since there were only 3 people, it felt like a private tour. I would recommend this tour if you want a deeper experience in the history of Korea.

Chris was an awesome guide! He was very informative about the tunnels and buildings in the DMZ area. The bibimbap lunch was delicious, and the views from the suspension bridge were spectacular. Highly recommend this tour!

Great experience with our great guide chris choi. He knew alot of stuff about the souroundings and there weren't any knowledge gaps. I could only recommend chris choi.

The tour was flawless, we had a three day trip where we had the guide Chris and he was a complete angel and so knowledgeable. He knew in detail about all places we visited with the whole Korean history and timeline at the back of his hand and answered all our questions with a lot of passion.

It was an impressive tour, and since there were only three of us, we received a lot of information. Our guide, Chris, told us so much, and we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. The day was therefore incredibly informative and interesting. If you’re traveling to Seoul, you should definitely book this tour — it’s a truly unique experience!

A perfect journey, a small group of five people made the entire trip relaxing and not crowded. The tour guide's explanations were very interesting and easy to understand, and all the details were taken care of throughout. The lunch was also delicious. The guide Sam was a very pleasant and likeable person who has tonnes of knowledge on Korean history. He even had paper slides for us and explained things during the long journey like what to expect on our tour spots. The small group size of 5 of us was perfect for us introverts who enjoy small amounts of social interaction. There is absolutely no selling of anything anywhere. Lunch was also delicious (was bibinbap) and authentic. You can tell Sam truly cares for us to have a good experience

Chris did an outstanding job and was very knowledgeable of the tour to the DMZ. He went above and beyond explaining not only the DMZ but also answered multiple question about the area in general. He was prompt in picking us up and very enjoyable to talk with. I would highly recommend Chris.

I’m not a tour person, but a visitor doesn’t have much choice for this locale! My guide Chris (Mr Choi) was well informed and friendly, answering all our questions and explaining the history of the region. We stopped for local snacks and had a nice veggie lunch too. A bit more unstructured free time at the lookout tower or the Party HQ building would be nice, but that’s a personal preference. 5-stars, well done all around.

Booked the guides tour for our honeymoon and he had Chris as our guide. Really good experience overall and Chris was very knowledgable and could answer all the questions we had. This part of DMZ is probably quite hard to visit oneself, since you drive in a convoy with military escort to the infiltration tunnel and observatory. Was also cool to see North Korea from the observatory. Recommend the experience and Chris / the tour.

Our guide Kris was very helpful and brought us to many historical destinations. Also he gave us wonderful introductions, it was a great tour and I had a fulfilling day.

Our family joined the tour on a weekday. Chris (our guide) showed up 10mins early at our hotel with a comfortable and clean tour van (essential since a lot of driving for the day trip). Chris is obviously very knowledgeable and explained in good details at each attraction. The tunnel is a must see and the observation deck gives you a close look into N. Korea. Overall an unforgettable experience, especially if you have some understanding of the Korean War. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful day on our Cheorwon trip. Mr Chris Choi was on time to pick us up at the hotel, and gave us insightful commentary on the DMZ area and Cheorwon. Cheorwon DMZ is further from Seoul than the Paju area, but it is also where a lot of the important battles of the Korean war took place, so from a historical perspective it was a meaningful location to visit. We visited the second infiltration tunnel, the Cheorwon Observatory and the old Communist/Labour Party headquarter. This trip also included a tasty traditional vegetarian Korean lunch which the whole family enjoyed. I highly recommend visiting Cheorwon DMZ as Paju DMZ is a much more touristy experience.

We had a really great time touring the border today. Chris was a wonderful guide that took us around the DMZ, really authentic experience with seeing the North Korean tunnels and the lookout point over Cheorwon, great meal at a local restaurant too. A very informative and educational experience.

The tour was very nice and very interesting. We did a private tour and it lasted from 7:30 to 6:00. The van came and picked us up at our hotel and drove us to each attraction. We got to overlook the DMZ area and the second tunnel. Our guide, Sam, was very nice and knew a lot about Korean history and the DMZ area. He was very helpful and always made sure we had the best experience. It was a military controlled tour so there was a limited amount of people and amount of time we could spend at each place. However the time we spent at each attraction was long enough and didn’t feel rushed. For lunch we ate at a traditional spot and it was very clean and tasty. Overall this trip for its price is completely worth doing and I recommend going with a guide like Sam so you can better understand what you are looking at.

He came to pick us up at our hotel and the trip to the DMZ was very pleasant. He told us about the history of the war but also things about Korea and it was all very interesting. This was a unique DMZ tour in the Cheorwon area. It was a small your so we had personalized service from our guide Jade. She explained everything well and gave us time to see everything but also kept things moving. We enjoyed the history, the tunnel, had a great locally sourced lunch, and even got to take in a flower festival at our last stop. It was a little more expensive than other DMZ tours but it felt like you got to experience something more unique than everyone else.

Amazing trip tour on the DMZ and other cool landmarks around. Overall no complaints and it was very fun. Very cheap fees and easy access to food and bathrooms. Our tour guide Jade was super friendly and easy to help translate everything for us. The tour was just under half a day. Not that bad for a fun trip. This specific tour was best for crowds that our under 10-15 people.

Our guide, Sam, was wonderful! He goes above and beyond to take care of his clients. The DMZ tour with Sam is highly recommended. Seeing North Korean post from a distance is so surreal. Ride is a bit further than the typical DMZ tour but Sam makes it entertaining, definitely worth it!

Sam is the guide you would want on every trip you take. He’s kind, attentive with a sense of humor and knowledgeable- he was full of fun facts and insights. I cannot speak highly enough of him, I wish he would be my guide on every trip I take. He made the journey fun and anyone who books with him, would be guaranteed an excellent experience!

Chris was helpful all along planned the trip very well luckily it was only the three of us so we got a very good experience of everything related to the DMZ and the suspension bridge. All in all highly recommended

The trip to the DMZ with Chris was wonderful. the trip started with local bread, we saw the DMZ and many rural and local stops. the lunch was fantastic, the driver was efficient and our tour guide, Chris, was fantastic. very knowledgeable on the local history, dmz history, war history, Korean history, as well as great suggestions for our food later in the evening. I wish Chris could be my tour guide on every trip.

This tour was honestly one of the highlights of my Korea trip. I had already visited the more famous 3rd Infiltration Tunnel before, but the 2nd Tunnel in Cheorwon felt much more authentic and far less touristy. It gave a completely different atmosphere and made the whole experience even more interesting. Our guide Chris was excellent — very organized, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire day. He shared a lot of historical and political background information, answered questions patiently, and really made sure everyone in the group was comfortable and taken care of. I also really appreciated the small group size, because it made the tour feel much more personal and relaxed compared to large bus tours. Everything was well planned, the lunch was good, and the scenery around Cheorwon was beautiful as well. If you are interested in Korean history and want a DMZ experience that feels more unique and less crowded, I can absolutely recommend this tour.
