Wonderful! Kim had to deal with a few of us older people who were a little challenge in energy. But he was absolutely wonderful, and patient. He conducted an amazing tour of Seoul. So amazing was the tour, that we all decided we’d love to come back to Korea.

Itinerary
Now, to get to the N-Seoul Tower, All the tourists have to take a bus or cable car operated by Seoul city. The cost of the bus will be paid by the guide and the cable car ticket need to be paid by tourist. Namsan Seoul Tower was the first tower-type tourism spot in Korea. The top of the tower is at almost 480m above sea level, including Namsan Mountain (243m) and the tower’s own height (236.7m), making it one of the tallest towers in the Orient. It is comprised of Seoul Tower Plaza, recently opened to public access after 40 years, and N Seoul Tower, operated by CJ Foodville since 2005. The tower was first established as a broadcast tower to send out TV and radio signals in 1969. As of now, it has become one of the representative landmarks and multi-cultural venues in Seoul.
Gwangjang Market was the first permanent market in Korea and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today. The second floor of the market is filled with silk, satin, and linen bed-sheet stores, which are the largest and most famous in Seoul. Many of the stores in the area even have their own factories supplying fabrics to the Namdaemun Market, Pyoung Hwa Market, and even to some department stores. Even though the goods are not brand-name products, the wide selection of high quality goods at inexpensive prices makes it an enjoyable shopping experience.

Naksan Park gets its name from its camel hump-like appearance. In Korean ‘nakta’ means camel and ‘san’ means mountain. So people refer to the park as Nakta Park or Naksan Park. The mountain is a solid granite bedrock. The Joseon royal family enjoyed the natural beauty of the granite mountain, but during the Japanese Colonial Period, a hasty manner of urban planning resulted in the demolition of most parts of the mountain. In an effort to save the remaining green belts, Naksan was designated as a park on June 10, 2002. Located in the center of the Seoul, this historical and beautiful park allows its visitors to view the magnificence of the entire city.
Cheonggyecheon Stream starts from Cheonggye Plaza, just off Sejong-ro Avenue. Cheonggye Plaza roughly covers an area of 2,500 square meters, and is located at the starting point of Cheonggyecheon Stream. The square, created based on the design of traditional Korean bojagi (a colorful wrapping cloth), features the elegant beauty of traditional stonework that is colorful yet refined. The plaza also includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird's-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream. At the plaza, there are plaques that provide detailed commentaries on the 22 bridges that span the stream, as well as a number of graceful fountains that add to the ambience of the area. The area commemorates the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project, and also symbolizes gathering, harmony, peace, and unity.

Kim was super friendly and helpful. He explained all the food options in advance to ensure we knew exactly what is involved - pork with the pork bbq (😉). His knowledge of the area, the history, the customs, is exactly why we booked a private tour for our first trip into this lovely city. We were not disappointed. We were super impressed and we have hopefully retained enough information for a million other things to try ourselves during the remainder of our short break. He gave us the confidence and knowledge to this. Thank you!
We enjoyed a lovely evening exploring Seoul with Chance KIM. The tour started at sunset and continued into the night, and Chance provided insightful explanations and historical context throughout. He was also very flexible, adapting the itinerary to our preferences and constraints, which we appreciated. The choice of restaurant for Korean BBQ and the culinary discoveries at the traditional night market were delightful surprises. Chance also shared his candid thoughts on modern Korean society and his personal experiences, which added depth to the tour and made the evening even more engaging. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and enriching experience. We’d recommend this tour to others looking to explore Seoul after dark. Thank you, Chance, for a great evening!
My family and I loved this private tour with Kim. All the views of Seoul this night tour provided were second to none. Going up to the tower was awesome. Naksan Park at night is a game changer when it comes to great views of Seoul at night. The Kwangjang Market is historic along with the foods/snacks. Kim’s attention to detail on this tour was terrific as he explained and showed us how a traditional Korean BBQ is done. Kim educated my family and I on this tour and we are truly grateful to him. Thank you Kim for a job well done!
Our dinner was delicious, especially the cold noodles. Our favorite stop was at the old city walls with beautiful vibes of the city.
We landed and jumped right into our private Seoul night with Kim. This was a perfect way to take in all the night lights and peaks. He forwarned us there would be some climbing but the view was so worth it! Kim prepared our Korean BBQ which was very tasty and he was right, the Hotteok in Kwangjang Market was the best!
Mr Kim is an excellent leader and guide. He took us to several locations (lookouts, fortress, etc) by routes and accesses where “Tour Buses cannot go” thus providing for uncrowded experiences. His choice for dining was a perfect venue, well patronized by local residents that told us it was authentic and good quality. We strongly recommend him.
Jimmy was a great guide! It was our last night in Seoul and we had done some of the things on other tours so he adjusted to make our evening, which was a great. He took us to authentic K-BBQ and the food was amazing.
This was the second tour that I did with tour guide, Chance! The first time was with a friend and it was so enjoyable that I brought my husband on the second round! This is a wonderful overview and a lovely way to see Seoul at night! Plus Chance was so professional and knowledgeable, that we were able to learn a lot about Seoul in a short period of time. He took us to an amazing restaurant for dinner, one which we still dream about having again one day. Chance was also a lot of fun and he made us feel like we were old friends spending an incredible evening together. I wish I had been able to book Chance for several additional days, as he would have definitely enhanced our experience in Seoul even more. He picked us up promptly from our hotel (both times). He also showed us some incredible views from the Octagonal Pavilion and also the gorgeous Cheonggyecheon Stream, along with the various Market places. Lots of fun hidden gem places! I’ll contact Chance again for sure on my next visit to Seoul. I’ve referred friends and family to take this tour. Book Chance to elevate your Seoul City experience and you’ll have a memorable time in Seoul! Gamsahamnida Chance! See you next time!
This was a very special and personal tour. A nice and fast way to get to know Seoul, with the best ending at a Korean bbq.
Our guide, Jimmy, was really great. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. His van was really nice, and he even brought extra hot packs. Some of the roads were very narrow and winding roads with steep hills at times, but he was able to maneuver very well. There is one thing that I would like to suggest to the coordinator for this tour. I think dinner is unnecessary especially the tour starts at 6:30pm. Our usual dinner time is around 5-6PM, so my kids were too hungry so we had an early dinner before the tour started on our own. Also we stopped by Gwang-Jang market right before the Korean BBQ dinner, where we actually had sample Korean street food. It would have been much better if we stayed longer at Gwang-Jang market instead of KBBQ. Also the KBBQ place was not very good. If these issues are addressed, I would very highly recommend this tour to anyone who hasn't been to these tourist spots at night time.
I had such a great evening with Jimmy! His tour is wonderful! Thank you so much for a fun experience!
Chance was a great tour guide and took us around Seoul telling us about history and showing some different viewpoints. Also a great restaurant choice!
Good experience. Driver was fluent in English. Very accommodating, he kept the experience interesting.
Fun and interesting tour with scenic night views, delicious food, and an engaging host. Mr. Kim is very knowledgeable and we saw many sights. Especially enjoyed the Fortress walls. A private driver can take you places that a larger tour cannot go.
I had an amazing experience on this tour! Our guide was not only knowledgeable about Seoul’s history and culture but also made everything engaging and fun. He shared great stories, answered all our questions, and even gave us local tips that made the city come alive. I left feeling like I truly understood more about Korea beyond just the sights. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul!
We are very glad we had this tour. The meal was fantastic. Mr Kim was very informative, help with photography at which he was very good. The places he showed were beautifully night. A great way to se Seoul! Highly recommend this tour for a unique nighttime venture to see Seoul with a highly knowledgeable guide!
Had a great time for our last night in Seoul. Mr Kim was great at showing us the history and local places in Seoul. Felt in love with night stroll, definitely would come back.
Minghoe was an excellent guide. Took us to all the top spots. Thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone.
To be honest i would save your money and hit the market on your own and find a bbq place near by. After I was picked up the guide dropped me at the market and was told he would pick me up in 20 minutes. Was a bit confused as I paid for a private tour. Next we went to a bbq which was just okay. The guide cooked the food which was nice but let's be honest I can cook my own food. The walk along the river was nice and so was the view from the wall and the mountain. I pretty much did the same tour today on my own and spent a bus fair. Save your money on this one... I give it 2 stars as the guide was nice.
Our night tour was informative and we learned quite a bit about Seoul, especially about the history at the fortress. Our tour guide was great!
What an amazing tour and Kim was the best! Showed us so much during our time with me. On time for pickup from our hotel, explained the history Korea. Took the time to answer all of our many questions. The Korea BBQ was the best and then a surprise dessert at the end again so good. Best tour of our trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed this private evening tour of Seoul's highlights. The BBQ dinner was incredible, and our guide, Jimmy, was incredibly accommodating.
Great immersion in the history and culture of Seoul. Kim was very knowledgeable and really gave us an authentic Korean experience. Highly recommended.
Our guide, Mr Kim, was such a pleasant person. He shared a lot of history and stories about Seoul. A city with so much history and beauty. Our favourite was the Wall Park (Naksan) where we saw a beautiful nightscape of Seoul. The dinner was amazing as well, we were all so full! Highly recommend this intimate, insightful and enjoyable tour!
Eating and shopping in the streets , walking along the wall and Pangok Octagon. personal care by Jimmy . Special BBq Chicken restaurant dinner
The tour was amazing. We got to experience Seoul from a different perspective. We loved that Chance allowed us much flexibility with what we wanted to do. We read that another reviewer criticized him for not letting her "shop" and couldn't understand why they thought this was a shopping tour. It's a great night sight-seeing tour and Chance is a wealth of information. Do this tour if you want to see a different side of Seoul and learn about its incredible history.
Jimmy was an excellent guide. He knocked himself out showing us around. I’m not writing more, ok? I’m on vacation
Extremely knowledgeable tour guide. This is a great tour. l especially enjoyed the Seoul fortress and guides overview of it. I picked this tour because of the Seoul fortress and it was a fantastic evening.
Our guide Kim was excellent in showing us around the different sights in Seoul at night. He also took us to a good korean bbq place after. Overall, highly recommend.
A great experience of seoul at night with special meal. Our guide was wonderful and made the night so memorable. Loved the canal area!
Beautiful views of Seoul! Our guide Chance took us to a great local restaurant with korean bbq. We learned about the history of Seoul and had beautiful nighttime views of the city from the fortress and one of the city gates. Avoided lots of crowds since some locations are not amenable to large tour buses etc. Would highly recommend
Mountain tour and market place tour as well as the river walk. We have a special experience about Seoul history, culture and people who lives in the city
Kim was great and did a good job of explaining korean culture in good english language. He was able to be personable.
This was a fun nighttime tour of Seoul! Kim was a great guide. He is very knowledgeable and took us to some beautiful sites and a great KFC restaurant. Just be aware this is not a comprehensive tour of Seoul which would not be possible at night anyway.
This was an excellent night tour of Seoul. Got to see the hilly neighborhoods and beautiful parks of Seoul at night. Jimmy our guide took us up into the hills so we could see the night sky of Seoul. It was amazing. We capped it off with a great Korean BBQ. Highly recommended.
Our guide Kim advised us to skip the long queues at N Seoul Tower on a Saturday and instead took us to the Namsan Octagonal Pavilion Park Observatory to see the lovely views! Such a good suggestion. We also enjoyed the sunset at Hanyangdoseong
Did not get the experience I was hoping for. Went from one place to the next place, wasn't able to buy souvenirs was rushed from placeyo the next.
Our tour was perfection! The sights were wonderful but the conversation and company of our guide Kim made the night unforgettable. Would take another tour with him anywhere.
Mr. Kim our guide was very accomodating to our needs. He gave us a great glimpse of Seoul(& South Korea)'s history while taking in the wonderful view of Seoul from several mountain vantage points.
Our guide called Jimmy Nam. He was flexible, gave us enough information and time to taking good photos. He is to recommend. Thank you
The fortress at night was wonderful. Jimmy was great with his knowledge of history. Great night would recommend.
Took this tour with our guide Kim. He was super friendly and showed us some of the more local areas. We loved every minute.
Same tourguide for the day and night tour Mr Kim our tourguide is very courteous and informative and very attentive to the our needs like going to the restroom. The dinner was good eating like the local with grilled fish and pork with side dishes like kimchi and others alike. He showed us the old part of the City . We all had a great time … GReat Tour Bravo!!!
I was very disappointed with the tour. The overall content of the tour was SEVERELY lacking. Although the tour guide, Jimmy, was nice, I felt that it was not worth the money I paid, as I had expected more value from the tour. .1) I was dropped off at the night market and given only 30 minutes to explore the supper market. I felt that there was no explanation about the market or any guidance provided. Secondly, I found the fortress to be nice, and appreciated the detailed history provided behind it. Thirdly, the BBQ restaurant was okay, but it was my first time having Korean BBQ and I received no explanation about what to do or any background story. Overall, I did not feel that this tour was worth the money I spent. Our group paid close to $100 per person, and as there were six of us in the group, we expected more value from the tour. I felt that it was more like an Uber drive around town, rather than a food tour. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this tour to anyone.
Thank you Chance for the awesome private tour! Loved the personalised experience and offering to take us to somewhere local and authentic. Highly recommend.
If there is a six star rating we’d give our guide Jimmy a Six . Jimmy pick us up from hotel slightly ahead of time so that we could discuss some minor changes to our program . He was very accommodating and agreed to our request and offered alternatives. The mini bus took our little party of four to a Korean eat all you can BBQ restaurant. With Jimmy helping in cooking we consumed no less than 6-7 plates of beautifully prepared pork and plenty of side dishes to choose from . Zero sugar soft drink was also on offer as part of the package . The meal was so good we nearly requested to skip the rest of the trip and stay in the restaurant. Just kidding. After the fantastic meal we witnessed Jimmy’s driving skill and his ability to negotiate the very narrow and steep inclines to the fortress for a night time view of the city . Absolutely gorgeous sights . We skipped the night market as we were there already the day before . Instead we rode up to the mountain with an eight corners pavilion on it . Our next stop was the stream now you can walk on either side of it as the crystal clear water runs down to the river . Very enjoyable tour only if I had prepared a map before hand to note down the names of places we visited . Never mind there will be another chance to revisit and certainly I’ll book the same company again .
The views from N-Tower were spectacular and the Korean Barbecue was delicious as well as a fun experience. Our guide, Jimmy, was very good and helpful as he introduced us to South Korea.
Our guide, Jimmy Nam was very thorough and informative. He answered all our questions about Seoul, its history and its people to our satisfaction. We enjoyed all the places he took us to during the night tour. The Korean BBQ dinner was really authentic and delicious. Jimmy even took great pictures of our experience! Couldn't ask for a better tour guide! Thank you, Jimmy, and enjoy your trip to the Philippines!
Our guide for this private tour was Kim. This tour was actually a spur of the moment decision brought about by the Garden of Morning calm light illumination festival held at night. We asked our previous tour guide Kim if he does any night tour, and he recommended this customized private night tour. It was the best decision we made. Kim picked us up from our hotel around midday and explained to us the itinerary. He took us to Namsan Tower (renowned for the love locks). We walked around, took some photos, and bought a lovelock of course. Afterwards, Kim took us to some hidden gems around Seoul where we could see some of the more spectacular views of the city. We walked around the neighborhood and saw some of the old, traditional houses. Kim took us to another Korean BBQ with the best pork in town. It was another wonderful, delicious, and reasonably priced meal. It was brilliant to have a local cook and recommend what side dishes goes well with the BBQ. With our tummies full, we started our journey to the Morning Calm illumination light. It was truly an exceptional sight to see, very different from what we saw during the day. Kim took photos if us and allowed us to walk around on our own. The photos and videos did not do the light festival any justice. One will need to go and experience it in person. The intricate light displays were incredible and outstanding, there are no words. We want to thank Kim again for organizing and planning this private night tour for us, it was truly worth it! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants an authentic experience of Seoul/Korea.
