We had a great time making our own personalised chopsticks. A perfect souvenir to our trip to South Korea 😍
Great experience! Love the customization of the chopsticks!
Really Nice, guide is really clear and speak English very well
The Chopstick making workshop was so much fun. The host was amazing. He was attentive and extremely helpful, energetic and fun.
Class was great! Our instructor was Matt and he did an amazing job guiding us through the steps. He was very friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend.
Great activity! Only take about an hour and Matt, the instructor, was very helpful! 10/10 would recommend
It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it for everyone.
Had an absolutely amazing time! The guides were super lovely
This was so much fun, and I’m so glad I found this activity. I made a pair for myself and my husband, and they engraved both our English and Korean names on them. It was easy and fun. If you have a chance to request a guide for this experience, I would 100% request. Matt, he is awesome!
This was so much fun, and I’m so glad I found this activity. I made a pair for myself and my husband, and they engraved both our English and Korean names on them. It was easy and fun. If you decide to do this, make sure Matt is working. Matt is awesome!!
This was a very fun and enjoyable workshop, great value for the money and a very nice personal souvenir. The in grave is fantastic. They even make sure to take into consideration that you are left handed. Don’t miss this opportunity if you have an hour to spare in Seoul.
Fun activity and souveneir in Insadong
It was Great experiece today thx
It was a fantastic time, Lee was an amazing and patient teacher, highly recommend to anyone in the area!
A lot of fun…turning 2 pieces of wood into chopsticks, with good memories of the experience
We loved being taught to make our own personalized chopsticks. The instructor explained in detail the types of wood and gave great instructions. I am pround of the finished product. I would recommend anyone visiting South Korea to take this tour.
Great class - nice break from sightseeing. Even our 7-year-old grandson was able to make his own chopsticks. Instructor was quite good. Two choices of wood for making chopsticks come with cost of class. Other woods require extra payment. Adding a word onto chopsticks also requires extra payment - well worth it! Class is located in fun arts district with lots of good shopping and food.
Very cool and interesting activity. A lot harder than I thought but so happy with my chopsticks. As someone else mentioned a little hard to find but if you use the Dongil Building insadong in NAVER it makes it super easy to find. No pressure to upgrade either.
This is a great experience for English speakers! Matt did such an awesome job and we had a great time. 10000000% would book again
This was such an incredible experience, the hosts were warm helpful and so friendly. I now have my own made chopsticks which got engraved with my wedding date on it. Will remember today forever. Amazing value for your money and makes a perfect little way to spend a few hours
Had an amazing experience and an amazing guide!
It was a lovely experience, Lee was very helpful and the chopsticks turned out really nicely!
Josh was fantastic! It was a great time!
This is very cool - and we're so glad we did it. We would recommend it to others. It was fun, but I would say, it also felt a bit like a factory. We went on a very busy Saturday afternoon and maybe that was the issue. A less busy time might be less frenetic. When we went, it was packed. Our group arrived on time but it was so busy, they ended up starting us a little late. Then when my husband made a mistake and one of his chopsticks had to be redone - the teacher said there wasn't time and so he made it himself - while also lecturing my poor husband on his mistake. We laughed it off. We're teachers too, and this poor man was clearly stressed. We asked why my husband couldn't do it himself and the teacher said it's because we're running out of time. That makes sense - and promptly on the hour, the next group was ready to start! it was nice that they gave him a second chunk of wood for free. We appreciated that. All in all, we loved the experience, love our chopsticks, and giggle at the clever factory set up they have going.
Great fun hour making a set of chopsticks. We chose wood ( some cost extra) Matt was very kind and patient and made sure we left with a great momento
Great experience. Anyone can do it.
The instructors are friendly and our chopsticks turned out great.
A great little afternoon activity when you need a break from thr hustle and bustle of the city. Easy to locate and really great value for money. You can upgrade the wood (prices listed clearly for each type) and engraving is another paid optional extra. Nothing is uphold to you at all so entirely your choice. Matt was great - very funny and friendly. Really recommend giving this a go. It's also a lovey souvenir to take home.
The chopstick making class was fun with a great keepsake to take away. Matt and Josh were both great and very helpful!!! Matt went out of his way to make sure our chopsticks were done correctly and engraved well. Thank you both for a fun experience!
Matt was a wonderful instructor. I really enjoyed myself. Loved being able to personalize my chopsticks.
I had such a fun time doing this! I came by myself as a solo traveler, but there were couples and others in the class too, so this is definitely something you can enjoy whether you’re traveling alone or with someone. I struggled with a few parts 😂, but the instructor was incredibly patient and was right there to help every step of the way. He never made me feel rushed and genuinely wanted to make sure I ended up with chopsticks I was happy with. It was really cool getting to make something myself that I can take home as a memory from Korea. If you’re thinking about booking this, I definitely recommend it—especially if you want something fun and hands-on to do while visiting Seoul! 🥢🇰🇷
Was a fun unique experience and our guide was super helpful. Our chopsticks came out amazing!
I had a great time at this workshop - there was a relaxed atmosphere and it was a fun time. No prior experience of woodworking is needed and it’s very beginner friendly.
The chopstick-making activity was a lot of fun, and Matt was very accommodating even though I arrived late due to public transit issues. He spoke English very well, which definitely added to the overall experience and made the activity easy to follow. There is an option to upgrade the wood for an additional 30,000 KRW, but I never felt pressured to do so. You can also have the chopsticks custom engraved for an additional 10,000 KRW, which I felt was well worth it. The engraving made the chopsticks feel much more personal and turned them into a memorable souvenir. Overall, it was a fun and relaxed.
Really loved this experience. I was able to make two pairs of custom chopsticks. I even got them personalized by having my name engraved in Korean. Lee was super attentive and helpful. Especially considering I chose the Ziricote to make my chopsticks with. He warned me it may be hard but the end result was worth it. A nice souvenir for my bday trip Seoul.
The "small fee" for premium woods is not very small. It starts at ₩20,000 and goes up to ₩150,000. There is a free wood option, but it's barely better than takeout. The workshop itself was fun, although the instructions could have been more clear. The time listed was 1 hour, but it took longer than that, mostly because of poor instructions and because it didn't really account the time for engraving. It's a nice experience, but I was frustrated paying an extra ₩20,000 just to have something I felt would last more then a year with intermittent use. The included-in-price woods are definitely for decorative chopsticks only.
A great experience going alone, or a group and most kids. Best part you leave with a handmade keepsake!
My partner and I took this class at the end of our trip to Seoul, and it was hands down one of my favorite things we did! Our instructor Matt was really kind and helpful in walking us through each step in detail. The class was really enjoyable, and the chopsticks turned out really great. This experience was a great value especially considering the price!
Very good vibe and Lee was an amazing instructor. Very nice to talk too and would 100 percent, do this again. Such a good spot to do a souvenir. 🤗🤗🤗
The guides were informative, attentive, and helpful. Great experience as a solo traveler.
Great experience! Fast and fun. Custom engraving was a nice touch!
He was a very good instructor that really gave us the help that we needed and adjusted after our needs and he’s english was exellent, we really enjoyd our experience, thank you
So cool , we had a great time with my friend
I had great time. Thank you so much
Had the best time at the Workshop with Matt and Goeun! Making my own chopsticks was such a fun experience and probably the best money i‘ve spent in Korea. First you choose between different kinds of wood, then you carve, sand and finally oil. For 10.000 KRW you can even engrave your chopsticks. But most of all I enjoyed talking to the instructors and the other visitors. It was really interesting to hear where all the other people came from and it was a great cultural exchange! Both Matt and Goeun were genuinely the nicest people and also gave great recommendations for Korea. A big thanks to this awesome Workshop!! :)
Teacher Lee was very kind and gave great guidance!
We had a great time at the chop stick making class, a wholesome unique experience, Josh and Matt who led the class were super friendly and explained everything clearly. Would highly recommend if your visiting Seoul!
Matt was really helpful - lots of beautiful woods to choose from. The chopsticks turned out great! What a fun souvenir!
The traditional chopsticks making activity at Insa was incredibly unique and a ton of fun. Our host, Matt, was absolutely wonderful—he was enthusiastic, extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to make the whole experience special. Highly recommended!
