This was a great class to learn how to wrap gifts beautifully. MJ’s studio is art in itself with unique and creative designs. I would take this class again and highly recommend it.
Loved this experience! Beautiful studio with so many pretty wraps and souvenirs. The instructor was very sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed learning about Bojagi and its meaning. MJ is a fantastic instructor and it was easy to follow her to create different style wraps. The studio is clean and organized and there were even refreshments! I would recommend this to anyone interested in experiencing Korean culture first hand.
I was lucky enough to have a private class, and it was such a special experience. MJ was so warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived and made me feel completely at ease. I learned so much about bojagi, the traditional Korean art of wrapping gifts in fabric, from the history and meaning behind it to the different folding techniques. MJ was patient and clearly passionate about sharing this tradition, and I left with new skills I can't wait to use for wrapping gifts at home! I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a meaningful, hands-on cultural experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great team and workshop Everyone were very thankful and learned a lot ! Thanks a lot for your kind and warm reception Imane
I LOVED this activity! MJ is an excellent tutor and taught me several different wrapping/Bojagi styles in a well-paced manner. Cute little studio with souvenirs to purchase on top of the two Bojagi wrapping cloths provided. Something I'd definitely recommend for a visit to Seoul.
This was such a special afternoon! We had visited Korea previously and were fascinated by the beautiful Bojagi we had seen at various shops, so we decided to participate in this activity. Minjung is such a kind, patient, and talented instructor. She taught us multiple styles, walked us through the history and process of this ancient craft step-by-step, and we enjoyed every second in her beautiful studio. If you're looking for a change of pace away from the typical tour stops and a hands-on opportunity to learn more about Korean culture, look no further than this perfect experience!
Great experience, learned alot
MJ was a wonderful host and did a great job explaining the history of bojagi and teach various beautiful wrappings. The shop was charming with many great fabrics to select as well!
I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. MJ is so nice and patient and shows everything in detail. She also shows a short power point about the story of bojagi.
If you want to immerse yourself in Korean culture with elegance, harmony and sympathy then I recommend with every fibre in my body that you participate in one of the workshops of Bojagi studio. MJ is a very good teacher who will guide you in this art with mastery and kindness. Time has flown in her studio which seems to be an island of peace and beauty in a lively neighbourhood. If you have any difficulties you can write her a message she is also very helpful! Book a workshop; you won't regret it even for a minute.
From the welcome snack that was provided to the hands-on instruction provided, my group had a great time learning the art of bojagi. We've already started wrapping our souvenir gifts for family and friends in bojagi and anticipate that they will be very impressed to see what we learned.
Altho it is a climb upstairs to the studio, it was a most enjoyable experience with a personable instructor and artisan. It was historical, cultural, educational and just plain fun. She is very talented and a great teacher. It is possible to buy hand crafted materials of high quality also.
Learn how to wrap gifts beautifully in fabric - MJ is a lovely teacher. And there are gorgeous bojagi, Korean gifts and accessories to buy.
This was a fantastic workshop and I highly recommend to everyone wanting to dive into Korean culture. Minjung was an excellent teacher and I loved learning more about Korean culture through the act of gifting. This hands on workshop was thoughtful and well taught. You even get to keep your bojagi! At the end, there is an opportunity to take pictures of your work and buy bojagi cloths to wrap your own gifts in the future. A wonderful experience!
This experience was so great! MJ was super nice and also great at demonstrating the techniques. She even went above and beyond to show me how to wrap the little gifts I’m bringing home to my kids. Her studio has a nice tranquil vibe and is located in a fun neighborhood for walking around. This wasn’t a craft class where you make some one-time trinket that becomes clutter at home. I learned things I’ll actually use!
The Bojagi workshop offered a warm and engaging introduction to this beautiful traditional Korean craft. The pace was relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Snacks were a thoughtful touch, and we especially appreciated the chance to chat with our lovely host, who made the workshop even more memorable. Highly recommended!

I truly appreciated the time she took to introduce me to this beautiful Korean tradition. Her store is filled with so many stunning pieces, it was such a special experience.
This was a wonderful, relaxing class! Even the non-artistic, non-crafty person in our group did well and enjoyed the process. MT is so very welcoming and encouraging. Highest recommendation!

It is a fun and interesting session. The trainer is patient and speaks good English. Great for crafters.
MJ was truly kind and gracious as a host and instructor. My friend and I had an absolute blast in this class and learned something we can use regularly. The store was also beautiful and had lots of great souvenirs and fabrics if you are looking. Would 10/10 recommend.
I’m so glad I did this! The space is beautiful and really sets the vibe. The instructor provides a detailed background on the history of bojagi’s with in a presentation-like format. They then go through each step carefully and slowly, making sure that you feel good about the process. The snacks, the packaging, etc… all feel so intentional and well thought out. I would recommend this activity to anybody visiting Seoul!

If you like wrapping, design and looking for a cozy workshop i Seoul, I strongly recommend to participate on this Bojagi workshop. You learn four different way of wrapping gifts, which you can easily practice at home thanks to the good explanation and the video you receive also later. Certainly on of the best workshops for me in Seoul. :)
MJ, my host was very kind, welcomed me with a Korean drink and some snacks. The workshop was really interesting, I was able to learn about bojagi and various kind of packaging types. We did together 4 different kind of bojagi packaging. MJ showed me everything slowly, her guidance was clear, so I was able to do it myself. She is very patient and good teacher. Her shop is really neat and warm place. I truly enjoyed today's workshop, thank you for the experience. Recommended for everybody.
We had a great time with delicious snacks and tea. The material of the bojagi is wonderful annd beautiful. MJ is a great and patient teacher! I had trouble with some steps. We had so much fun!
It was a truly exceptional experience to participate in the workshop. The light music, the taste of the sweet Korean rice tea, the Korean textiles, all mesmerized us! It was a truly unforgettable experience for both of us, we highly recommend it to those interested in eco-friendly and beautiful wrapping techniques.
As soon as you step in to the shop we were greeted by MJ in her lovely shop. She makes you feel welcomed right away. Before the lesson we were served some traditional Korean cookies and a cold rice drink, both delicious! MJ was informative, patient and provided clear instructions on making different types Bojagi. It was very hands on and we came away with our own Bojagi wrapped boxes that we each made ourselves! If we had more time in Korea we would have loved to take another class to learn more elaborate wrapping techniques. Highly recommend this experience!
My daughter (age 20) and I had a wonderful time learning the art of Bojagi and couldn't have wished for anything better. The studio was easy to find and our instructor was so informative and thoughtful and we were grateful to learn about this art and part of Korean culture. Highly recommend Bojagi Studio!
It was the most authentic and relaxing workshop I ever done! Everything is with special care prepared. You have to experience when you are in Seoul!
It is a wonderful experience in an environment that radiates tranquillity, just like MJ Kang. She gives clear instructions and also suggests other possibilities, such as adding accessories to the cloths. We were privileged to be there together, just the two of us. Ok Ran
We had a fantastic experience at Studio Bojagi. The workshop is fun and a wonderful way to experience Korean culture. I enjoyed the short presentation at the beginning about the history of bojagi. The wrapping experience was fun and accessible — bojagi is for everyone to enjoy. The wrapping cloths are beautiful, and participants get to choose their cloth colors along with a norigae to complete their gift. The studio space is beautiful and well-organized. The gift shop has many stylish options to purchase and bring home, so you can continue wrapping bojagi for friends and family as well! Minjung is a wonderful host and was welcoming and patient with us since my mother and I required both Korean and English instruction. Overall this is a can't-miss experience in Seoul. Highly recommend!
The most amazing experience learning the art of Bojagi from MJ Kang who was so patient in teaching us . Had a most memorable experience at Studio Bojagi. Enjoyed myself so much !
Such a cozy and creative workshop — learned the basics of this beautiful Korean wrapping cloth and totally fell in love with the process. ✨ During the class, we learned about the history and cultural significance of bojagi, including its use for gift wrapping, storage, and even as decoration. The instructor demonstrated several techniques. It was so relaxing and satisfying! 🌸 Would 10/10 recommend if you love hands-on crafts and slow moments. 💕
I had a fantastic experience that I’ll never forget. I learned the art of bojagi wrapping, and it was not only beautiful but also so much fun to try. The instructor's professionalism and warm, friendly attitude made everything even more special. It was such an enjoyable and meaningful memory. If you're visiting Yeonnam-dong, Korea, I highly recommend this experience — it’s a perfect way to enjoy local culture and create something truly unique!
I had a wonderful time at the bojagi wrapping one-day class! One of the highlights was learning about the history of bojagi in Korean culture — it added a meaningful layer to the experience. I was surprised at how simple yet beautiful the wrapping techniques were. I'm really glad I took the class. For anyone visiting Korea and planning to buy bojagi or norigae as souvenirs, I highly recommend joining this one-hour impactful class. It’s a perfect way to enhance your gift with a personal touch. The classroom itself was traditional, clean, and well-organized, which added to the overall atmosphere. I even received a norigae during the class, and I now carry it as a keyring — such a lovely keepsake! Highly recommended for anyone interested in Korean culture, crafts, or thoughtful gift wrapping!
The bojagi and norigae (traditional Korean wrapping cloths) at Bojagi Studio are exquisitely beautiful and elegant, traditional Korean items. The studio is a beautiful, healing space. The one-day class instructor was kind and friendly, teaching students how to wrap bojagi. She demonstrated and guided each student individually, which was a nice touch. The brief introduction to the history of bojagi in Korea before the bojagi wrapping practice was very interesting.
Beautiful workshop to immerse yourself in Korean traditions. Fantastic teacher, creative activity, fun and also suitable for beginners. Absolutely recommended! (Bea and Ema from Italy)
