Fun and easy respite from traveling in a VERY different culture. Fine art, no. Clever, yes. Sadly inconvenient for public transportation.

The Painters is a thoroughly enjoyable show. The boys that make up the band were very talented and my 9 year old daughter had the time of her life! They gave her a special painting of the little mermaid and 2 members signed it. It was a very funny show that made me & my daughter laugh until our chests hurt! This is a must-see when you come to Seoul.
Truly unique and enjoyable experience. The painters were talented and funny and would recommend. Dancing and painting were not two things I imagined together at a show but the pulled it off well.
Absolutely amazing! One of the best shows I’ve seen in Seoul. The combination of live painting, dance, music, comedy, and audience interaction was simply incredible. The performers are unbelievably talented, creating stunning artwork right before your eyes while keeping the entire audience entertained from start to finish. If you’re visiting Seoul, The Painters at Gwanghwamun Theater is an absolute must-see! 🎨✨🇰🇷 IG: alberts_kozlovs
It was a pleasant and very nice and fun experience. We brought our daughter who is 15 . She loved the show, the beautiful guys who were dancing and painting. She is studying painting and was HAPPY to see that the guys really could paint. Very talented. I give 1000 stars Everyone should see it 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Super creative and fun show. Facility was intimate but comfortable. Program was dynamic and exciting.
We loved the show! The guys are adorable… great dancers, amazing artists. Great relaxing fun evening after a full day of touring… highly recommend!!
It was my first time seeing a show like this, and I was absolutely amazed! My husband and mother-in-law were also thoroughly impressed. It's truly the best way to experience modern Korea, highlighting K-pop culture and various forms of art. The performers are extremely talented—you can tell they put in a lot of practice. The staff was very considerate and perfectly coordinated. Being right in the center of Seoul, the area is vibrant and lively. Plus, all the performers are very good-looking guys :)! We saw Korean traditional music with instruments earlier that day, and this show at night. It was a perfect artizie day!
Excellent show with a lot of surprises
We had experienced other shows during the day - but the Painters turned out to be best of the day! Truly entertaining and tremendous performances by everyone!
Great show and value for money. Enjoyable for all ages.
Entertaining! Fun performers and visually beautiful media artl. I believe this show was on Asia’s Got Talent. Location a bit hard to find. If it were in a more touristy area I think they would fill the theater consistently.
Fun show, lively, upbeat, great for whole family including children. A nice change of pace in your sightseeing plans.
Very fun and unique experience! Nice to visit with family and friends! Would recommend this to anyone visiting Korea!
You need to book early to get the best seats, there is some audience participation, generally people are picked from the first couple of rows, live shows are the best entertainment by far, this show is worth the visit
We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and didn’t need to understand a word of Korean. The performers were beyond talented and kept the audience engaged with their joking, dancing, and creative artwork.
I had no idea such an amazing anttraction existed. Almost missed it. If someone likes watching performances of any kind, dancing or painting, this is a must see if you’re in the area.
The Painters were multi-talented: they can draw, dance, act and sing. Very entertaining and they engaged the audience very well.
Good fun with very talented young guys. They are artistic, can dance, and look good. It was an easy show to follow along to even if you don't speak Korean. Expect goofy and lighthearted humour infused throughout. The only thing I would say is that the venue was very cold, and the audience participation got a bit awkward at times.
Great activity for teenagers and youth, very entertaining. Funny and immersive, the actors here integrating with the audience and the show was never boring! What an exciting experience!
If you're looking for something unique in Seoul, you HAVE to see 'The Painters'. I just came back to Hong Kong and I'm still talking about it! It was such a fresh cultural shock – in a good way. The energy, the comedy, and the live drawing skills were insane. Since it's non-verbal, you don't need to worry about the language barrier at all. Highly recommended for anyone visiting from HK. A definite 5-star experience!
Be sure to leave extra time to find the location. It was a longer walk than I planned for from the subway station so I ended up getting an Uber. If you are late you will have to wait for a certain break in the show. In my opinion any seat was a good seat but if you want to interact buy the most expensive ticket. There was playful banter and dancing with upbeat music but the creation of art with an element of surprise was the best part. At the end they invite you to take photos and there was a meet and greet at the end.
Unique and entertaining! Very creative. We were very tired after a full day's trip. We thought we'd all just fall asleep. We are glad we didn't skip this.
great show! music, dance and paint mixed alltogether in a great rythem. they are so talented, that you don’t need any spoken word..
What a fun show and these guys are shooting talented. We LOVED it. I won't spoil it, but you'll have fun. Pay attention to which theater. They have 2.
Incredible show. We went with our seven year old, who loved it. Unlike anything I have seen in the states, a fun mix of art, dance, light, and comedy. Highly recommend.
I recently attended a Korean performance art show that completely blew my expectations away. It’s a vibrant fusion of high-energy K-pop dance routines and live painting, performed entirely by a group of incredibly talented male artists. The show is a visual spectacle from start to finish — imagine synchronized choreography, dramatic lighting, and music blending seamlessly with artistic expression. Each act was unique: one moment you're watching a dynamic dance number, and the next, you're mesmerized as the performers create large-scale paintings in real time using unconventional techniques — think paint splashes, handprints, even acrobatics! The reveal at the end of each piece was genuinely thrilling and often earned gasps and applause from the crowd. What makes this show stand out is how it bridges pop culture and fine art in an accessible, entertaining way. Whether you're a fan of K-pop, live art, or just something new and exciting, this show is a must-see. It’s creative, fun, and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. A true celebration of Korean pop culture and talent!
A lively, modern and very creative show. These guys paint while dancing, dance while painting, and they captivate the audience. Music, painting, dance, and visual composition combine seamlessly in a show that exudes vitality.
Truly entertaining and extremely talented. I went with my family of 2 kids and it is definitely suitable for all ages! Must see if in Korea!!
This was a very cute show and I'm glad that we did it. The artists are talented. Parts of it felt a bit long while other parts were more entertaining. The theater is small and in a nice neighborhood for strolling.
The show was amazing...high energy, beautiful art, great dancing, family friendly, and funny without words!! My family & I thoroughly enjoyed it, and we don't speak any Korean at all. Photography not allowed during the show, but definitely make time to stay afterwards for photos with the performers. These guys are fantastic. Highly recommend!!
Very family friendly and interactive. Artists are very approachable and pose for pics after the show.
A must see!! The level of talent and so entertaining. If you read any bad reviews, they obviously have no passion for art or love for artists. Great dance choreography and funny skits in between. My daughter was not wanting to go (15) and she loved it. One of the best things we've seen here!
Not ok, my eyes hurt, it was cold, too loud and I had a headache after the show. Still recommend to go though but not again another time.
Amazing performance. It was one of a kind show with multiple art form shown live on stage with music dance and comedy woven into it. Btw big shout out to the team- i lost my ring and informed the team. They located it and gave me a call back to collect!!!
Had very low expectations for this show, I thought it would be cheesy. I work in Hollywood and have seen every live show you can think of. The show was visually appealing, entertaining, and fun. Pleasantly surprised.
Thr Painters was a very nice and funny experience. When we went, the theatre was full of koreans teens students, they having fun.
I had an amazing experience watching The Painters show today! It was my first time seeing this live art performance, which seamlessly combines vibrant artwork with cutting-edge media, and it was truly unforgettable. The performers not only showcase incredible drawing skills but also impress with their dancing and entertaining abilities. They engage the audience with humor, making the show even more enjoyable. For anyone visiting Seoul, I highly recommend checking out The Painters! . . . #korea #southkorea #seoul #페인터즈 #painters #seoultravel #artperformance #funpainters
Great show with many surprises, funny painters/dancers/actors. No language skills required at all. Be aware that some spectators will be asked to go on stage (which was at the end a lot of fun).
Great family friendly show from 4 very talented young painters/dancers/actors! Very engaged with the audience. Lots of fun. Good value. Fairly small theatre so everyone has a great view regardless of where you sit. We enjoyed the show and we are 2 Brits in our 60’s.
I was scrolling through all of the possible tours/experiences to do in seoul for awhile and, if you're like me, you've noticed many many of them are either duplicate listings or they're the same thing offered by a different party. I wanted something unique... something that wasn't like the other listings and that I could make a memory with. This show fit the bill perfectly! It was an awesome show with lots of talent and humor. If you care about family-friendly, it also works for that. Definitely recommend!
Words can’t describe how awesome this show is. Think dancing, comedy and most importantly amazing art done in such a dynamic and entertaining way. My jaw dropped a few times. I think they should have a show in Las Vegas. Much better than Blue man group, Stomp…highly recommend!
It was a unique and fun filled show - you can sit and enjoy the great skills of dancIng , painting and humour.
Entertaining evening with a fun and high energy crew painting, dancing and engaging the audience throughout the show. Crew photo op at the end of the show. Recommended!
It is the last activity booked on our last day in Seoul, it’s totally worth it. The show is creative and full of fun, energy and excitement. We really enjoyed it.
Fun, high energy show featuring 4 painters/dancers demonstrating several unique, fast paced artistic mediums and a bit of comedy.
While you get the chance to be 'wowed' by the various painting and drawing technics you also get funny moments and dances. The Boys interact with the audience and make a very pleasant hour and a half of show.
The Show was so much fun to watch!! It had music, dance, art, and comedy all together. It has a K-pop vibe to it, so teenagers would love it. The performers were super talented and charming. They engaged with the audience and even chose members to go on stage with them. I had a great time and enjoyed the show despite the toddler yelling behind me. I really enjoyed it, I would watch It again and recommend it. The performers stood outside after the show for pictures, which I thought was cool. About the Theather: This show is sold to big tour groups, so you might get trapped between a big group that knows each other and interacts. Two to three tour groups filled 98% of the theater. *****There should be an age restriction. A toddler behind us spent THE ENTIRE SHOW screaming, running, and talking NONSTOP. The seats are very close together, so he was yelling in people's ears and bagging against their seats/heads when moving around. The parents did absolutely nothing to control the child, and neither did theater personnel intervene despite guests looking back at the parents, expecting them to do something. Children should be old enough to sit on their own and control themselves since they ruin it for other guests****
exciting show, bravo 、 amazing with the people interaction for fun、 and the guy handsome、 and the dancing so good。
That’s amazing show. We took a lot of photos. Good painter and dancer. Hope all of you like this show.
