We had a great time with Lee. She did a really good job of taking the time to explain details of the fish market and the seafood dishes we had. Recommend 👍

Itinerary
Let's have amazing seafood at the largest fish market in Seoul! Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale market is the best place to eat fresh seafood in Seoul. It is both wholesale and retail market, and it handles about 50% of metropolitan volume and trades 250 to 300 tons of fishery products every day. We will buy some seafood and go to a restaurant in the market to eat. The foods are included in the tour. As the seafood price varies depending on the season and market situation, the food we have could be different each time. but I'll make sure that you have the best seafood!!! *** I choose the seafood depending on the market situation everyday, however, it does NOT include any crab / lobster *** *** This experience is only operated when at least 2 participants are signed up because of booking a restaurant. I can only book a restaurant for 3 and more people. If there is not enough participants, I will fully refund it. Check out our Instagram for more info! @honeytrailkorea

We meet with our local guide Lee at the Noryangjin Station Exit 7, and walk over to the fishmarket. At the market we saw a all the different fish, shellfish and othersea food. We loved almost every dish of this fanstastic food, there was two or three dishes that wasnt to our taste, but still an great experiance taste. Imfortunally we didnt get picture of every dish we tasted. We tasted a whole lot of different food, like; - Raw fish (sashimi) - Red snapper - Olive flounder - Sea bass - Sea trout - Abalone - Shrimp - Clam - Spoonworm - Octopus (moving duo to nerve still active) - Sea pineapple - Grilled rockfish - Spicy fish soup - Abalone porridge Defiantly an experience worth trying, and we enjoyed the company of out great guide Lee Jonas & Lene
Lee was very friendly and knowledgeable! She knew which stalls to purchase from and it was refreshing not needing to decide what to eat. I would have never personally ordered what she did, so this was an amazing way to push yourself out of your standard comfort zone. Highly recommended.
Lee was incredible! We really enjoyed our experience at the fish market. We upgraded and purchased the King Crab. I highly recommend!
Fun experience with amazing spread of seafood! Great conversations were had with even better company. Highly recommend.
Lee was fantastic! She was kind and knowledgeable. The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend this tour!
This is a phenomenal way to get immersed into Korean culture. Lee was punctual, polite, accommodating, and humorous. She ordered various types of sashimi along with shrimp, abalone, sea pineapple, sannakji, and spoon worms and had a restaurant within the market prepare everything for us. We ended the evening with an amazing spicy soup using the leftover fish carcasses from the sashimi along with a pineapple sorbet with fresh pineapple. If you’re an adventurous eater, you’ll have an amazing time. If you’re a picky eater, this tour may not be for you. 10/10 would recommend this specific tour with Lee to anyone visiting Seoul for the first time.
Lee is great and she is helpful in making the experience easy. It’s intimidating to go to the fish market as a foreigner. Without her we would not be able to enjoy the experience .
Our tour guide, Lee, gave us clear instructions to where we should meet up for the tour. Arriving there, she explained how the Fish Market works and gave us a little tour. While waiting for our seafood to be ready, we had a little free time to look around. It was very interesting to see the market in person. Very different than what we see on the screen! Then, Lee took us to a restaurant on the second floor where they prepare the food for us. We were well taken care by her! Although there were no lobster nor crab, the food was AMAZING! Lee was a sweet and kind guide! It was worth it! I highly recommend this tour for seafood lovers!
Wow what an experience. Lee was welcoming and took care of all negotiations with the sellers, she purchased us a huge variety of produce-from fish we knew well, to some local delicacies and things I would not usually get the chance to try (or be brave enough to try-but Lee was very helpful and explained everything). The market was fascinating, but the eating was the best bit! We went to a great restaurant upstairs that’s prepared our dishes, we had so much food and so many options, including an amazing fish soup and sorbet at the end. I was travelling alone, so it was lovely to meet the group and have dinner and soju with them. I found the booking as I did a hike with Lee back in January 2023 and wanted to try something different in a welcoming and friendly group which I knew it would be. We honestly had so much food and such high quality produce I genuinely wonder how Lee makes any profit, as there was so much great stuff and we didn’t want to anything/have to pay for anything extra, plus we all got a cute little cookie gift at the end and did a fun quiz at the table! Thanks Lee, I will be back in the future for sure.
Thank you so much to Lee for such an amazing dinner at the Noryangjin Fish Market! My husband and I booked this tour because we were worried we couldn't navigate the market with no language and understanding of how to purchase the seafood to eat at the restaurants upstairs - thankfully Lee was the answer to all of that. Lee took us around to the various stalls to explain the different types of seafood. She quickly found her go-to stalls and restaurant where we had the freshest sashimi and most delicious grilled seafood. We were absolutely stuffed and also learned some interesting Korean facts while eating. So grateful to Lee for her time and care, would highly recommend this tour :)
We had an amazing time at Noryangjin Fish Market, guided by Lee! She helped us explore a wide range of seafood we had never seen (let alone eaten) before. Everything was delicious and fresh, and we enjoyed Lee’s company and her South Korea trivia. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and educational visit to SK’s largest fish market!
Lee was a great guide, so informative, friendly and fun. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and meal. I highly recommend the tour with Lee. Thanks
I had a fantastic experience with Lee. She was very accomodating and could explain things in detail with ease. Being able to look around and getting her insight was so helpful and interesting. And then to experience a casual dining spot upstairs was a delight. Highly recommend for foodies interested in the fish market experience especially if you do not speak korean fluently.
Immersed in the pulsating life of Seoul‘s largest fish market guided by Ms Lee. Find hidden sea food gems, have them prepared on the spot, a glass of Soju. Life is good. Tx Ms Lee. 6 out of five.
The fish market dinner is a pretty unique experience. First, there's the visit to the fish market. It's the retail part of the market with aisle after aisle of every kind of fish you can imagine. There is a set menu on the tour, with some flexibility, but you can really add whatever you want to the meal by purchasing it on your own. The way the meal works is that you go to the fish market, buy the fish (some things like the sashimi is prepared by the vendor) and then you take everything up to one of the restaurants on the second floor and have it cooked. That's the second part, the actual meal where you can add various side dishes or have the meal cooked how you want. It was really a lot of fun. Lee did a great job of explaining what we were eating, and a little bit of history and food culture of Korea. And its the tour that keeps giving. Once you see how things work, you can certainly return back to the market and do another meal. Great tour. I would recommend it. Ask for Lee, she did a great job.
Loved this tour! We tried a lot of new food (that we wouldn't have known about if we had gone ourselves) and went on a short hike afterwards to see some beautiful night views. Lee is extremely personable and easy to talk to- we learnt a lot about history and Korean culture and afterwards she even gave us additional suggestions for the rest of our vacation. Highly recommended :)
The food was delicious and very fresh. It was my second tour with Lee. She is very kind and friendly. She explained well about the seafood we bought in the market. The market is clean and large. I really liked that we tried lots of food that I wouldn't even think of trying by myself. I liked the raw fish the best, but other food was all good. Highly recommend!
Lee is an awesome guide. She had all sorts of information and knew many of the vendors. The fish was fresh and delicious. I was the only person on the tour and it felt like I was just hanging out with a friend.
I have been to Seoul multiple times and wanted an experience off the beaten track. I absolutely loved the fish market with all the different types of seafood offered. The market was extremely clean and busy. We bought the food which we would later eat in a restaurant at one of the many retailers. Lee told us about the varieties of seafood and gave us the chance to explore the market for some minutes before heading to the restaurant. The restaurant prepared the seafood for us and I loved everything we ate. The freshness and taste were excellent. During the dinner Lee told us more about the fish market and quizzed us about Korea in general. It was so much fun! She also gave some extremely helpful tips about cool spots in Seoul. Overall one of the best experiences I had in Korea so far.
In my recent solo trip to Korea I had the pleasure of taking the Noryangjin Fish Market Dinner tour with Lee as my guide, and it was a an amazing experience. From the moment we met her at the market, Lee was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about all the different types of seafood available, talking passionately about the different types of seafood popular with the locals. One of the things that really stood out about the tour was how much Lee was able to teach us about the seafood itself. She helped us understand the different types of fish, how to tell if they were fresh, and the best ways to prepare them. She even showed us how to pick out and prepare the freshest octopus! Another highlight of the tour was the incredible food we had at the restaurant. Lee helped us select the best possible seafood at the market and then took us to a nearby restaurant where the chefs cooked it to absolute perfection. The flavors were out of this world, and it was really cool to know that we were eating seafood that had been caught just a few hours earlier. Throughout the tour, Lee was a fantastic guide who really went above and beyond to make sure that everyone in the group was having a great time. She was so friendly and personable that she felt like one of our group rather than just a tour guide. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about Korean culture and cuisine, and she was happy to answer any questions we had. All in all, I would highly recommend the tour with Lee to anyone looking for a unique and delicious foodie adventure in Seoul.
Lee is great! She helped us purchase extra seafood that we really wanted to try. She told us all about Korea and gave us recommendations for all the places we wanted to visit later. She was fun and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Lee was very friendly and warm. She shared alot on korean culture and brought us to a great resturant with very delicious food. Highly recommended tour!
I did not know what to do on that day and I booked a tour for Noryangjin fish market. It was marvelous!! Fresh fish and seafood in the heart of the market with local workers. The guide was really fluent english, very professional and she cared about all the small details that makes the tour very interesting and exciting. ( seafood lovers go fishmarket go !😋) Anyway thank you Kate it was outstanding experience!
This is a must do in Seoul! The market is huge and the fish was very fresh. We had different kinds of seafoods and all was super delicious! I loved every single food we had. The night views of the city was gorgeous after the meal. Great value for money. Highly recommend this tour!
