Korean Folk Village Afternoon Tour From Seoul

We had a very nice time on the Afternoon Korean Folk Viiagr Tour. Our guide, Jun, was excellent. He provided very helpful explanations about the Village. In addition he engaged in an aextremely interesting discussion about life in Korea. Altogether a great tour.

You get to explore the park, learn some history and go to the amusement park. There is also some live performances. BB our tour guide was great, informative, engaging and willing to answer any questions we may have.

Great experience and intro into Korean history. Our guide Lizzy and our driver went out of their way to create a wonderful memory for us. Lizzy was also incredibly knowledgeable on top of being kind and friendly. Highly recommended.

The tour was really good! Our tour guide, Sally, explained everything very well. She was super friendly and very accommodating, especially since we were travelling with an infant. 5 stars for Sally and our driver, Mr. Kim! We only wish the tour could have been a bit longer, as we didn’t have enough time to explore everything at the Korean Folk Village.

Not enough people signed up, so they cancelled our tour. We were disappointed to not be able to see the village.

Lloyd Shin was an exceptional tour guide. Lloyd was very very personable, professional, and went out of his way to point out places of interest during the ride to and from the folk village tour. His English was perfect and he explained everything during the tour. I would give him a five out of five rating and would recommend his to everyone.

Lloyd was very attentive and gave us lots of information about Korea on the drive to the folk park. He made sure we saw lots of shows and showed us all the highlights of the folk village. I would definitely book another tour with him.

Lolyd was excellent . He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot on the Folk Village tour. He also was a safe driver and given I had family on the car. I would book with Lolyd anytime I am in Seoul again.

Nice place to see and learn Korean tradition and historical culture. Would love to have more time to see everything more leisurely. Our guide Yeoni was very friendly.

Closed due to rain. Viator was not reliable. We booked tour prior day then called Viator guide on day of tour to find they cancelled because not enough people signed up.

Went with our guide Sally from Viator. Excellent guide that made the tour fun. Very passionate and informative about the history of South Korea. Visit only if you have time. Overview of a historic village preserved for future generations.

We visited the Korean Folk Village with Sally (Seoul City Tour). Sally's knowledge of Korean history and her English Language were both very good. Our experience was made better for having Sally as our guide.

💯 present recommended. Tour guide was great. Insadong nice place to shop and eat. Cable car ride to to the Tower with magnificent Views of Seoul. Namsan Folk village preserves traditional Korean Architecture. Loved it.

Very good afternoon trip out of Seoul. It was about and hour drive from our city centre hotel, 2 hours in the folk village and over an hour drive back due to traffic. We chose this tour as it was our last day in Korea and we had a night flight back home, so it was great way of spending afternoon between hotel check out and travelling to the airport. The village itself was a good experience, walking around with the guide explaining about the history etc.

The day of my tour was raining all day, so we did it in the rain, too bad, the place itself needs more attraction, my friend and I did not know it was not a real village. For an outside of the city experience it was alright.

Everything went quiet well. The village was an interesting place. Our guide did a great job and we had enough free time

Very nice place to visit. Our guide was great. Definitely would recommend visiting the place. There are performances in traditional outfits.

We ended up doing the full day tour due to cancelation of the half day tour. We needed whole full day to experience the village, hakf day tour is not enough. Must see the shows and food options were great!

Youn and driver were friendly and courteous. They answered our questions and made our experience enjoyable. This is our second time using Seoul City Tours. We will definitely use them again!

Well worth the visit.Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking over uneven terrain. Good place to learn about how the Koreans lived and different strata in society.

Went on a guided tour booked through trip advisor. This was a private tour for my wife and I, but not sure it always is. We were picked up at our hotel by a mini-van with 3 seat rows behind driver. The driver tried to put my wife in the back, but explained she had some spinal fractures and really could sit there. That's when he explained that he was only the driver and not the guide and we were to pick up more passengers. We were hoping to get a driver who would be explaining things on the hour+ trip to get there. Upon arrival, we were introduced to our guide who had already taken the previous passengers on a morning tour. Since we were a half-hour late, we had a fixed time to finish in order to meet the previous tourists for the return trip. Our guide who's English was a bit broken was quite knowledgeable of the history and customs and the reconstructed village is certainly worth seeing. Her last 30 mins were quite easy since they were observing a 'traditional' Korean wedding where she didn't have to do much. Wished we had a bit more time.

We felt a bit rushed going through the Village with our guide, though she was very informative. We were given no free time. We understood at the end why we were given no free time because she took us to a sales pitch on red pine oil. So disappointed that Viator would allow that!

Jason was very punctual picking us up for our tour, really polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Drove us to the Korean Folk Village and showed us around helping us to understand the Korean culture. Great conversation and care. Even on a hot day the tour was very interesting, learning culture and history in their native preserve settings.

<p>We were picked up on time, however two other people were having lunch and therefore we left 40mins late. I think that when booking the tour we should have been told that it was a holiday, the traffic was very bad taking 11/2 hours to get there. Due to this we only had 1 hour visiting the village, not long enough at all. On return we still went to a herbal sales shop, we could have stayed at the village longer. Unfortunate, as the Village was good and our guide nice.Liz</p>
