Jongno Walking Tour With Professional Photos & Seoul History

I absolutely loved this tour! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and the photos were so fun! They posed you so you don’t have to worry about anything.

The walking tour around Jongno was great! The guide was kind and knowledgeable, the photos were fun, and the information was presented in a fun way. The tour was a little shy of 3 hours but the walking was easy. Highly recommend!

It was a great experience. The guide is fluent in english and can convey the history of the area very well. You start at an easy to find place. Then you will follow a nice walking route along many important historical places in the jongno area. At every site you get a full explanation along with pictures and maps. Its very interesting. Furthermore the guide is a talented photographer and knows the best spots to take some nice pictures. So great value for money. An evening stroll along beautiful places, really interesting history explained with aides, and professional pictures at amazing spots. 10/10 recommend. great value for money too.

Loved this tour! From first glance, the photos looked amazing. It was the perfect mix for us, because my husband hates having photos taken and mostly came for the history tour, while I really wanted beautiful memories from Seoul. The guide made it feel natural and relaxed, and we both enjoyed learning about the area while getting professional photos. A really lovely experience and great souvenir from Korea!🙏😊

Andrew and Jacob were amazing! They were professional, knowledgeable, and so much fun to spend time with. The morning flew by because I enjoyed every minute of it. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Korea. Learning about the history while wearing a beautiful hanbok and taking memorable photos made the experience truly unforgettable. I felt very welcomed and had such a wonderful time. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Korea. It was absolutely fantastic!

This experience was SO much fun. Not only did we look and feel like we were straight out of a Kdrama, James, Andrew, and Jacob taught us history about the palace and were hilarious. Such a great way to spend an evening, especially if travelling alone! Not your typical walking tour as our 2 very lovely, cheerful guides made it interesting and took us to parts of Seoul that I largely missed in the other times I've been here. Loved that they guided you a bit with the poses, too! 😁

This is such a cool format of guided tours: two guides, one tells you about the place you’re visiting and the other takes your pictures while you’re exploring the place. Wish there were more offers like this.

I wanted to have some pictures taken with my diploma after having graduated from university not long ago, and they were helpful and accommodating with that. I’m so happy with the images and the overall experience. Seoul was the perfect place to celebrate my graduation, and these pictures are an excellent way to remember a lovely experience. We were a small group of 4 so it wasn’t overwhelming for me. As a female solo traveller I really enjoyed the whole experience.

My tour was on a rainy day and I was so glad I didn’t cancel. James and Jacob provided a historical glimpse into Seoul that tourists would never easily stumble upon in their own. Highly recommend this photoshoot! Since I was solo, it felt like a personalized private tour. They took me to hidden spots and quiet alleys away from the crowds that most tourists wouldn't find. The tour was awesome. I have never had this much fun learning about history as with James. We were also able to learn quite a bit from Jacob with his experience. The two of them made the trip a really unique and fun experience.

If you would like to know a little bit of history of one of the popular places to eat samgyupsal (Korean Bbq) with a touch of capturing your memories. This experience is the best. James the historian gave a lot of insights and history that this place gone through with a beautiful bonus of jacobs expertise in securing your memories by taking great beautiful photos of you. Make it as a top souvenir of yours in seoul especially when your travelling solo!

Jacob, the photographer, and James, the historian, made a wonderful team for this tour. It's nice because it's not that long, you get to see some local hidden gems and learn about the history behind it, and you get professional photos at the end of it. It was nice to learn about an area that I would never have stumbled upon on my own.

Before my tour I was informed that the photographer was ill and couldn't come, so they gave me the choice of rescheduling or taking the tour anyway with just the guide who would take the photos instead. I chose to continue anyway and met James at the meeting point. Despite him not being the main photographer, he did a brilliant job taking the photographs and I was really happy with how they looked and it was really fun listening to him talk about the history of each area that we explored, I saw parts of the city I'd have never known about otherwise, so thanks for an awesome time!

I truly enjoyed this Seoul evening tour and photoshoot; it was both fun and deeply enriching. I learned so much about Korean history from James, our lead tour guide, who is a young historian with remarkable knowledge and an engaging, respectful manner. He made every stop come alive with stories and insights. I had been watching James bong aka korean bong aka the historian on instagram for a while and found out about his tours, my schedule only allowed me to take the this seoul hidden gem tour. James and his photographer buddy jacob led the group and explained to us about the different sites (Jongmyo shrine, Cheonggye stream, both commercial and residential parts) and the pocha stalls along the roadside) in both korean and english. I had never explored certain parts of Ikesendong and was glad that they brought me right to the doorstep of chongsudang bakery which i wanted to visit. They told us stuff about the government wanting to industrialize seoul - made the decision to remove the cheonggye express highway over cheonggye stream (and the multiple benefits) which connected the dots for me (as i had just visited seoul museum of history before this tour) and that we would even visit the sewoon makercity plaza where Vincenzo drama was flimed and that the bridge behind the plaza would connect us all the way to namsam tower, i was really glad that i came today, learnt new stuff about seoul history! Jacob aka lee do took such great photos of all of us, solo and couple shots, awesome experience! Highly recommend this tour and i am looking forward to taking more of korean bong’s tours (gyeongbokgung and euljiro) in the near future!

I joined the Street Photo Shoot & History Walk last night and I am so glad I did! Our guide was very considerate, he picked me up where I was because I was late for a few mins. The other guide, Jacob, was not only a talented photographer but also a great storyteller — sharing fascinating pieces of Korean history and culture as we explored the streets. I loved how the shoot felt casual and fun, not overly posed, and the photos beautifully captured both the night lights and authentic moments.

It was a wonderful experience!!! James and Jacob were fun, friendly, professional. We got to explore a lot of hidden gems and learned a lot about history of Seoul that otherwise would not have known. The photo shoot was also great- they helped you pose and made you feel at ease, now have a lot of beautiful photos for memories :)

James and Jacob along with their editing team made our hanbok guided tour of the palace amazing. It was such a fun time. This was an incredible experience in so many ways! Between James’s knowledge of photography and his translation of Jacob’s historical information. This tour is well worth it and a top 3 highlight of my time in Seoul. Seriously the photography knowledge and insight is priceless. In addition to that, knowing the locals James and Jacob and their personalities are dynamic. You are given the opportunity to meet two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They are incredible and I can only say amazing things about this tour. The Seoul Hidden Gem History Walking Tour was an absolute hit! I felt like I'd stumbled upon a dynamic duo of dream guides. James was a true powerhouse of positive energy—from the very first moment, his smile and enthusiasm were infectious. He could make the entire group laugh with a single joke, and his laid-back approach made everyone feel welcome and important. He had an incredible talent for creating a friendly, joyful atmosphere, as if we were walking through the city with a good friend, not a guide. Jacob, on the other hand, was the complete opposite (in the best possible way!)—with a straight face and the calm of a Zen master, he spun captivating stories about history, as if he himself were its mysterious guardian. The contrast between their styles was simply brilliant—it made for a never-ending moment of boredom! The only thing missing? No ending in some atmospheric spot for chatting over tea or something delicious—after such a dose of excitement, you just wanted to spend some more time together. I highly recommend it—if you want to experience Seoul from a different perspective and have a great time at the same time, this is IT!
