This was an amazing experience! Youla was an excellent guide, who created a very unique & authentic experience. I loved that the tour included a blend of traditional Korean wellness with authentic market experience. The tour included a massage, foot bath and delicious lunch. This was followed by a stroll through the food & tradition medicine market, while sampling delicious drinks & food. Youla was very generous with her knowledge. Highly recommended!!!

Where do I begin to talk about this experience, from the start it was amazing and continued throughout so much to experience. Tour guide Youla was so knowledgeable. If you came to Korea to open your mind, body and spirit this is the tour. Starts with foot bath to prepare you for the experience to discussions about the vast array of medicinal herbs all present in the k products on the market to a wealth of information on food and teas. Museum tour and excellent lunch provided. Walking through the market all your senses are alive with wonder and curiosity. Youla is the best host as she shows you a Korea few rarely ever see.
My tour with Youla was one of the best I have ever experienced. I loved learning about herbal and oriental medicine and delving more into the every life of South Koreans. It was an enlightening and educational experience, and, I had a blast.
What a great experience! After being in Korea for a week, my two friends and I weren't sure if we actually needed a guided tour, but Youla exposed us to a side of Seoul we would never have found on our own. We all agreed it was a great way to end our trip. Learn about traditional medicine and wellness, get thumped and massaged by machines, drink medicinal tea, and try local snacks and produce!
We had an amazing experience with our guide in Seoul. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing Korean culture and everyday life with us. What we appreciated most was that she showed us places we would never have discovered on our own. The market tour was fascinating, full of interesting stories, local traditions, and delicious food recommendations. She answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm. Thanks to her, we were able to see a more authentic side of Seoul beyond the typical tourist attractions. She made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely interested in the city. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Korea. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!
Youla, our guide, was amazing!!! She was knowledgeable and easy to understand. She shared hidden gems and unique foods in the markets. We have done alot of tours - and this was seriously one of the best ever!!
This was seriously one of the best tours we have ever done!! Our guide was knowledgeable, open and warm. She took us to see hidden gems and shared stories and unique foods. We learned alot - and enjoyed the entire process❤️
I’ve done multiple market and food tours while visiting South Korea with several of those in Seoul. This tour stood out as different, not just because of the multiple markets that we visited, but the focus on the medicinal history and herbal medicine. It gave me the opportunity to have a different understanding and experience of South Korea. That wasn’t the limit of the tour however we shared a variety of foods from different restaurants and market stalls getting to experience a breadth of flavors. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing more of soul outside the common tourist areas by a guide who grew up in and knows the neighborhoods.
Such great tour! Youla was a great guide and gave me a lot of insights about korean culture. The food is already paid, just like the foot bath. If you want to look for something specific in Dongmyo market, you can ask so they can at least show how to get there later (if you are in a bigger group).
Highly recommend! Delicious food, a wonderful guide, and an eye-opening experience! This incredible tour with Youla was the first thing we did during our trip to South Korea. Experiencing South Korean food with a local expert revealed how underrated it is globally in terms of flavour and range! Not only did we sample lots of amazing local dishes from the market and surrounding area but learning about local food, customs, and even some history during our walk set us up for the rest of our vacation. An essential tour when visiting Seoul!
We had such a great experience with this tour in Seoul. Instead of the usual tourist attractions, the tour focused more on Korean culture and local places that you normally wouldn’t find on your own. We visited a beautiful traditional tea house, explored a really interesting retro collection space filled with vintage items, and even had a relaxing Korean-style foot bath experience. Each place felt authentic and unique. What we appreciated the most was how the guide explained the cultural background and stories behind each place. It made the experience much more meaningful than a typical city tour. It honestly felt like exploring the city with a local friend who loves sharing Korean culture. If you want to experience a different side of Seoul beyond the typical tourist spots, we definitely recommend this tour. It was one of the most memorable experiences during our trip to Seoul.
If you’re visiting Seoul and want an authentic food experience, I highly recommend booking a tour with Youla. She was absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about Korean food and culture. What made the experience special is that it didn’t feel like a typical tour at all. It felt like exploring the city with a friend who knows all the best local spots. She took us to must-try places and explained not just what to eat, but why each dish matters culturally. Everything was well organized, relaxed, and personalized. If you’re a foodie or just want a meaningful introduction to Seoul, this tour is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!
My friend recommended this package and I don't regret it at all. I had the most enjoyable time and there was a lot to see during this trip. Guy!! when you come to Korea you need to go where the locals go. That is the real culture experience and this package had that all!! The fee was reasonable including sightseeing, guided tour and Korean foods. The guide kindly explained everything whenever we are curious about things. She does know what she is doing! We were a group of 6 people, which was really good number. not crowded and enough to cheer each other. We kind of became friends at the end. Especially my partner was so happy to try all those different Korean foods and look around the local market. At the end of the trip, we were very grateful for what we just experienced and said we would definitely come back to have an other trip with her. I truly recommend to family or couples. It was not tiring at all it was all excitements! Korea is beautiful!!
The traditional market tour with Youla Guide was absolutely amazing. I was able to see a truly authentic Korean local market. We started by having a warm bowl of porridge on a cold day, which was perfect for satisfying our hunger. After that, we walked around the market, and our guide treated us to many delicious snacks, so we were never hungry at all 😊 The herbal medicine museum experience was very unique. We learned about the ingredients used in herbal medicine and the process of how it is made, and we even enjoyed a relaxing foot bath that soothed our tired feet. I have a five-year-old son. There were so many cute toys throughout the tour, which made it easy to find souvenirs for him. In particular, the toy street had all kinds of toys, and I was even able to buy dog clothes at a very reasonable price. It was a fun tour where you can truly experience, explore, and feel real Korean culture. I’ve already highly recommended it to my friends, and I would love to join again if I get the chance!
First of all, two thumbs up!! Everyone who still confused where to go in Seoul, this tour is the answer. This tour is small group with hand picked itinerary where the real locals enjoy. I always would prefer high quality over quantity, the money I paid was worth every minutes of the time we had with her. The CEO legitimately comes with us to guide all the way to the end make sure we are happy and satisfied. She had proper knowledge of places and foods, the selection of foods was amazing as well. I strongly recommend to everyone this tour course. When I come back to Seoul as time soon, I will definitely tour with her again with other route. Thank you again! I will see you again!!
Had the best LOCAL day in Seoul! Our guide, Youla, was knowledgeable about Korean history and culture, and she introduced us to Korean traditional medicine, local fruits, and unique Korean ingredients. She took us to a truly local restaurant we never would have found on our own. Exploring the markets was a fun way to experience everyday Seoul. Dongmyo felt like stepping back in time I loved the atmosphere and the entire experience.
This was a wonderful dive into what locals eat. I'm a fan of Korean food, but for Americans, that means barbecue and bibimbap. We tried many wonderful things that we knew nothing about, like the awesome mung bean pancakes. Youla was a terrific guide. She is knowledgeable and passionate. She is also fluent in English and was happy to answer questions about Korea and the culture. Thanks for a fun day.
Even though I am Korean, I was visiting Korea after a long time, and this tour gave me such a warm and meaningful way to reconnect with everyday Korean culture. Gyeongdong Market felt alive, authentic, and full of stories that I would have completely missed on my own. What truly made the experience exceptional was the guide, Youla. Her deep knowledge, genuine passion, and thoughtful explanations brought the market, the people, and the culture to life. It never felt rushed or touristy—rather, it felt like being shown around by someone who truly loves and understands this place. This tour is recommended for those who want to discover the heart of Korea through fresh eyes. I left with a full heart, new perspectives, and lasting memories. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to experience the real soul of Seoul.
I was traveling by myself and was little worried about being awkward alone in a group. But I HAD A BLAST. Youla was so informative answering all the questions and fun. The food was amazing. It was such a great time. I highly recommend her!
Youla is an amazing guide! I loved our time, not only for the delicious food but learning about the rich Korean history. Youla is so passionate and knowledgeable. Although it was just us, the 4 hours flew by with deep conversations and good humour. You were born to do this, keep it up 🙏
I really enjoyed Gyeongdong Market Tour. Fish cake and noodle soup was perfect in this weather. Our guide was super friendly and funny. It was very informative and joyful I couldn't keep a track of my time. I definitely want to try the skin care tour next time. Everyone must try the strawberry at Gyeongdong Market!! it's so good. best strawberry ever in my life.
This was a really enjoyable and authentic experience in Seoul. Starting at the K-Medi Center gave a simple and interesting introduction to Korean traditional medicine and how it still fits into everyday life. Visiting Gyeongdong Market with a guide made it much easier to understand and appreciate. It’s a busy local market and not somewhere I would have explored confidently on my own. The lotus leaf rice lunch, warm herbal tea, and foot bath were especially nice, particularly on a cold day. Overall, it felt relaxed, informative, and very local. A great option if you want to experience everyday Korean culture beyond the usual tourist spots.
It was one of the best and most authentic experiences in Seoul. Highly recommended if you want to experience everyday Korean culture beyond the usual sights. The market is not easy to approach on your own, so I was really glad to experience it together with the K-Medi Center and the foot spa, especially on a cold day. It didn’t feel touristy at all. Our guide, Youla, was very attentive and friendly, and it was so kind of her to share an Olive Young shopping list with us. I would definitely recommend this to any friends planning an authentic cultural trip to Korea.
The tour has been one of the best we have ever done. The herb market, the museum, the other markets, but mostly our guide, Youla. Thanks to it the experience has been very special, we have tried different types of delicious foods, some medicinal herbs and medicinal teas. He has explained in great detail customs and uses of herbs in Korean medicine, he has taken us to very authentic places that only locals know and that we would not have discovered on our own. It is an essential tour to delve into Korean culture and is also full of surprises. Youla has always been very nice and a splendid guide. We must definitely come and do the tour with her.
The tour was perfect even though we got a bit of rain Youla did great, explains everything in detail, we toured several markets and I could get amazing souvenirs, taste delicious food, drink traditional tea, ufff I recommend it, it is the best 👌👌👌
From the very first seconds Youla takes you on a journey into the very heart of Korean history, passionately telling every little detail and anecdote as if you were there. At the bend of a street, you then catch yourself feeling the agony as if you were. But more than just a Youla guide, is really benevolent and warm, and does not conform to a conventional layout. You really discover local life, the real, far from tourist places. We were often the only strangers or almost so. The food was really delicious! 😍 And I really enjoyed being able to discover typical Korean food that I did not know. I did a lot of food tours in Asia and it's quite simple it was by far the best and most intoxicating! Thank you Youla! 🙏❤️
