We had a great day with our tour guide Christine and driver Young. She arrived promptly and was knowledgeable and kind. We had only been in Korea for a few hours at the point of starting the tour and Christine was so helpful in helping us navigate our surroundings and understand what to prioritise. She offered us the opportunity to customise the tour but we decided to follow her advice and had an excellent day. When traffic was not as bad as anticipated and we had a spare bit of time, Christine added an extra stop. The whole day was very well organised. Christine’s communications in advance were good and she spoke excellent English. She took photos of us and was diligent about ensuring we received copies. She took account of our interests for example what we wanted to eat. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour.

We took this tour of Seoul on the 26th October 2026. Our tour guide Christine Lee was our tour guide and her husband Young was the driver. They gave us a first class experience and were flexible on start times as we arrive late the night before. We went to see authentic Korean houses, the palace and change of guards, a Buddhist temple, local market and shopping districts. Christine’s knowledge of every component was extensive. She’s clearly a very well experienced tour guide and was really engaging and friendly. Her husband is an excellent driver and we enjoyed every aspect of the day. Thank you to both of them - we would thoroughly recommend this tour to others.

Wow what a day! Jake was so nice and had very good English! He took us all around Seoul. He was very patient and kind with my wife’s mobility challenges. We first did the Namsan cable car - which was fun and very accessible. Then we went to palace which was very interesting. I did the entire tour of it - my wife sat and waited for me and she enjoyed looking at all the people dressed in traditional costumes. Jake explained that many tourists rent the costumes and wear them to the palace for getting free admission!! We went to look at some 500 year old houses which are still occupied. Next we went to the Buddhist temple. We were lucky as it was the annual chrysanthemum festival and my wife adores flowers. Plus the entire place was accessible with ramps. This was the highlight of the day for my wife. We had a traditional Korean lunch at the Maple Tree House. Meat was grilled at the table and was served with many accompaniments. My wife had a vegetarian rice bowl. Jake wanted to take us to an antiques market but my wife was worn out so we went back to the hotel. We highly recommend this kind of private tour when there are mobility challenges involved. Our guide Jake was first rate!!!!

Had a great time seeing Seoul with Danny. Very convenient picking us up at the cruise terminal and dropping us off at the hotel. And very flexible seeing the sights, a great lunch, plus some time for shopping.

Jun was our guide for one introductory day in Seoul! We learned so much as we wanted information on restaurants, street food, markets, museums, and public transit. We love walking and walked almost most 8 miles! Jun took us to his favorite local chicken soup spot and we loved it. He also had the wisdom to get us to the main Palace early to tour before the crowds and see the early changing of the guards. He was informative, personable and fun! Thank you Jun!

When I tell you this experience was a 10 out of 10…I mean it! Foreigner friendly I promise. Our tour guide Jake was the absolute best. So friendly and kind hearted. From the beginning to the end he was informative and communicated greatly. Took his time to ensure we had great photos and would offer to take them for us. Also answered any questions we had about the history of the city or general questions. There wasn’t one question Jake wasn’t able to answer. Unfortunately, during one of the walks I slightly rolled my ankle. Jake was so quick to assist me with finding the nearest convenience store. He helped to translate with the staff about my slight injury and they advised what I needed. Within 5 mins of me hurting my ankle I was all patched up. Jake bandaged my ankle with a cold patch and wrap and we were able to continue the tour. I had to move a lot slower to refrain from making my slight injury into a serious one. Jake would walk with me slowly and found me places to sit while he continued to explain to me the history of the sites we were visiting. I never felt rushed and I still got to experience the tour. I highly recommend this private tour to foreigners if your a bit nervous about exploring the city on your own. Jake was fluent in English and Korean which made it so much easier. Thanks again Jake for making this tour a memory that I will keep for a lifetime! ☺️

James was fantastic! Great overview of South Korea’s past and culture in an 8 hour day. He kept things moving, easy to understand and informative which made the day very interesting. He made sure we had a great experience. Day was easy by being picked up and dropped off at our hotel and transported around Seoul to see the highlights. Jun was more than willing to take us anywhere we wanted, but we primarily relied on his wisdom of the city and the best places to go for our first day in Seoul. A great start to our trip.

Christine was a fantastic guide. She took us to a varied and extremely interesting mix of sights. She was also extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited. She also adapted and changed the itinerary to suit our specific interests. It was an extremely fun day for us and we moved from place to place with ease due to young’s expert driving who seemed to appear with the van at the exact time we were ready to move to the next sight.

We were fortunate to get Jake as our English speaking to our guide for a private tour in Seoul. His English is perfect, and his knowledge is exceptional. He took his to every place we wanted to go, and explain the history and background with unbelievable detail.. Christine and Young are an amazing tour guide duo! Christine helped us customize a Seoul highlights tour for our family of 4 (two adults and two older teens) in this extreme summer heat. She was very accommodating of our special requests regarding sites we wanted to see (and not) as well as dietary restrictions she helped us navigate. Christine was not only very knowledgeable but also very fun to spend the day with. One of the most convenient parts of the trip was that Young always had the van cooled and ready for us whenever we were done at a tour stop. Extremely pleasant experience. The guide was knowledgeable about the city and Korean history. I had a good time.

We are a family of 6 (kids age range from 17-24) and had an excellent guide in Jun for 4.5 days straight in Seoul and to Nami Island. I would highly recommend Jun (especially for local food recommendations) and would absolutely hire him again if we come back to Korea. Jun listened to what we wanted to do and updated our original itinerary schedule to minimize travel time and maximize what we wanted to do (not an easy task with 4 kids all wanting to do and see different things). He always showed up promptly to pick us up and was very flexible. He took us to the best Korean BBQ I have ever eaten and to a number of local restaurants (most with no/very little tourists) that made us feel like we were getting a real taste of Korean cuisine. He was a great photographer with the iPhone and took great family pictures of us. He also knew how to avoid and navigate the crowds at the crowded tourist spots. I genuinely enjoyed having conversations with him about Korea life and how it is different (& similar) in the US. Five stars for Jun!

We could not have had a better guide than Christine. The heat in Seoul and our struggle with it meant that throughout the day she suggested adjustments to the schedule for us. Her suggestions were always good and demonstrated the benefit of having a private rather than group tour. If you are booking a private tour you will be very lucky to have Christine as your guide with her husband as the driver.

As we had only four days to explore Seoul, we needed to find a tour that showcased the city’s highlights on one of those days. Booking was a breeze, as it always is with Viator, and the company was incredibly responsive. A few days before our guide, Song, arrived, she reached out to gather our input on any specific sights we wanted to see. I mentioned that we had only one day to make the most of our visit, and she crafted an impeccable itinerary! We spent an incredible day with Song in a clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned luxury minivan, taking in as much as we could. Song was not only informative and entertaining but also incredibly pleasant to be around.!

We had an amazing experience on this private guided tour in Seoul! This was actually our second time booking this tour, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Our guide Sophia Kim was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day so enjoyable. She shared fascinating history, local recommendations, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire tour including cold water since it was a very hot day. We enjoyed everything about our experience - the points of interest, the convenience of having a private tour, and most especially, our guide Jung! She was what made the entire tour more fun due to her personality and she was well-informed. I was also most grateful for her attentiveness to one of our group members who is elderly and used a walker to get around. Jung made sure to ensure he was comfortable, could get around and even spent rest stops with him to keep him company while the rest of the group spent time shopping. Jung is an asset to your company and I would recommend her to anyone interested in booking with your company. Great job!

Song is a wonderful tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Korean history and the sites that we were seeing. She brought us to a Buddhist temple that we had not initially put on our itinerary, but was absolutely beautiful and magical. The tour was entirely flexible and we were able to see the sites that mattered to us. It was really nice having a bus where we could leave our stuff and come back to without having to worry about getting a taxi. The biggest highlight, though was Song.

We had such a fun day learning about Korea and seeing the sights in Seoul with Christine as our tour guide. It is nice her husband Young is the driver so you just feel like you are with family. They are both very friendly and accommodating people. Our daughters had fun getting dressed in the traditional Hanbok dresses. It was a hot day so Christine made sure to try and keep us in shaded areas as much as possible. It was great she knew the good picture spots and took them with her phone and sent them to us later. That made it easy to capture all the photos as a family. We enjoyed our traditional Korean bbq lunch and felt like we were in a spot the locals eat at. Overall we very much enjoyed our day and Christine was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend this experience!

10/10 Experience. This was truly a memorable day for us. Song was at our hotel on time. We discussed the itinerary and were able to give our input to truly make this a customizable day. Our hotel was about an hour away from our first stop. But Song made the ride seem short by teaching us about Korean heritage and culture. She even played DJ and took song requests to listen to by my daughter. First stop was a Hanbok rental outside of Gyeongbokgung Palace. The Hanbok rental is optional and a separate fee. But we chose this option to fully immerse in the experience. Song always knew the exact moment we needed to be somewhere throughout the day and exactly where we needed to be, to get the best views and be at the front of the lines. And despite the rain, she was able to capture beautiful pictures for us. We also went to Bukchon and saw the breathtaking homes that people still live in. It was here that we were surprised to stop by a tea house where we had delicious tea and desserts. This was optional, and the tea and desserts were not included. But it was fantastic. The tea house was quaint and Song gave us access to the best seat there. I was also impressed that Song was able to change on the spot where we went for lunch. We had a separate experience booked for the market on another day. So we decided not to go there for lunch. Instead, Song quickly did some research and took us to a phenomenal little vegan restaurant. Food was flavorful and delicious. We also went to a shopping mall that was filled with local vendors. Loved it. Finally, we went to N Seoul Tower and rode the cable car to the top. Gorgeous views. My 15 year old daughter adored Song and I did as well. By the end of the tour, which went from 8am to 5pm, Song felt like a family friend. She was attentive to every detail, from providing an extra umbrella because we only had one, to having water available in the car, to providing a balance of guidance as well as free time. She let us know exactly when and where she would meet us when she gave us time to ourselves. And she was consistently there on time. The one time she was 2 minutes late because of traffic, she sent me a message to let me know her ETA. This attention to detail is what made Song an exceptional tour guide. This was an amazing experience, that really was customizable, even on the spot, and we will never forget it.

This tour is a must do for first time visitors to Seoul or returning visitors wanting to refresh their mind. We had pickup and drop off from our hotel. The tour was 830a-530p. We saw the changing of the guard at the palace, took the cable cars into the mountains to Seoul Tower, then had authentic lunch at the food market, visited the only Buddhist temple in the city. Then we saw local stores and art shops on a walking street. And ended our tour in an old village with great views of the city. The best part of the tour was our new friend, Jake. Jake was our guide/driver. I learned so much about Korean history from him, he was great driver, and very fun to be around. This is a must do tour if visiting Seoul.

We had a truly wonderful day trip in Seoul with my wife and two children.
