■ Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park, located in Paju is a significant cultural and historical site that attracts both domestic and international tourists. Here are some highlights and attractions that tourists can expect to see and experience at the park. ■ SPECIAL OFFER You can meet up with high-ranking North Korean defectors, including those who graduated from Kim Il-sung University. Unlike other tours, this experience brings you closer to the DMZ, offering personal stories of life in North Korea and the journey to escape. Feel the history and tension of the DMZ like never before. ■ KEY ATTRACTION Freedom Bridge, Imjingak Pavilion, Peace Bell, Mangbaedan Altar, DMZ Exhibition Hall ■ You can expect a deeply moving and educational experience at Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park. Guided tours provide in-depth historical context and personal stories about the Korean War and division of Korea.
The North Korea Experience Hall is an exhibition and experiential space designed to help visitors understand the reality of Korea’s division and daily life in North Korea. It presents the historical background of the Korean War, the process of division, and the continuing confrontation between the two Koreas through various exhibits and materials. Visitors can also join Q&A sessions with North Korean defectors, gaining first-hand insights into everyday life, restrictions on freedom, and human rights issues in the North. Beyond simple displays, the hall uses photos, videos, and models to make North Korean society more accessible, while interactive programs allow visitors to experience the social and personal impacts of division. Above all, the Experience Hall aims not just to satisfy curiosity but to provide a meaningful opportunity for reflection—encouraging empathy for the pain of division and inspiring thoughts on peace and reunification.
■Discover the Untouched Beauty of Korea’s DMZ. After the pain of division, South and North Korea held truce talks in 1951, eventually agreeing to establish the Military Demarcation Line (MDL). This line, set 2km from both sides, created a 4km-wide buffer zone, the DMZ. Strict military management restricted civilian access for 40 years, transforming the DMZ into a pristine ecological preservation area. ■Experience the DMZ like never before with our expert-guided tours. Dive into the history, explore the untouched nature, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
■Embark on a fascinating journey through the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, a hidden passageway dug by North Korea with the intention of launching a surprise attack on the South. ■ Discovered in 1978, this tunnel is a stark reminder of the ongoing tensions and strategic maneuvers between the two Koreas. ■ As you walk through this 1-mile (1.6 km) long tunnel, you'll be immersed in the covert world of espionage and military strategy. The tunnel, located 73 meters below ground, is large enough to move thousands of troops per hour. Feel the atmosphere change as you descend into the cool, dimly lit passage, with walls bearing marks of dynamite and pickaxes used by North Korean. ■ Our guided tours provide in-depth insights into the tunnel's construction, discovery, and significance. Learn about the painstaking efforts of South Korean forces to uncover these secret routes and thwart potential invasions.
■Discover Dora Observatory: Your Window to North Korea Experience the View of a Lifetime ■Marvel at breathtaking landscapes and catch a rare glimpse of North Korea at Dora Observatory, the northernmost point of South Korea's DMZ. On clear days, see North Korean villages, Kaesong City, and the propaganda village of Kijong-dong through high-powered binoculars. ■A Touch of History: Learn about the division of Korea, the lives across the border, and the quest for peace from our knowledgeable guides and interactive displays. ■Why Visit Dora Observatory? ■Combine natural beauty with profound historical significance. Ideal for history buffs, curious travelers, and scenery lovers.
(Optional) Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge: A Spectacular Adventure ■Experience Thrilling Heights Explore the Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge, once Korea's longest suspension bridge spanning 220 meters. Opened in 2016, it's renowned for offering breathtaking views over Silmari Valley, enriching your hiking journey to Gamaksan Mountain with unforgettable vistas. ■Scenic Marvels Enjoy the bridge's stunning architectural design amidst the natural beauty of the valley. Ideal for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike, it promises a thrilling and picturesque experience. ■Why Visit? Discover the perfect blend of scenic beauty and adrenaline. Whether you're hiking or simply appreciating the view, the Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge promises a memorable adventure in Korea's picturesque landscape.

Great tour with Won today! She had loads of information and fantastic understanding to help with all of our questions
Had a fantastic tour of the DMZ with our tour guide Felicity, she explained everything very clearly and made the whole experience very interesting and informative.
Very thorough and informative tour. Visited several stops. Some may be physically challenging so heed any warnings. Lots of stops for snacks and souvenirs. Lucky is such a wonderful guide. Highly recommend!
Charles was an excellent tour guide. He shared many stories regarding the sites that we saw. Charles was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!
This tour was everything we had hoped & more! It was very informative, my partner and I learned so much. The pace was great, we didn’t linger too long in any place, but we definitely had enough time at each stop. Our guide, Won, was kind, informative, and knowledgable. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the DMZ!
We went to some of the beautiful locations in this tour and had the greatest fun. Thanks to Coco. She is funny, informative and made the trip a wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends
My tour guide Won was incredible! They really were very knowledgeable about the history of the DMZ and really made me feel comfortable, especially since it was my first time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially if you’re nervous and want to feel reassured that you will have a great time.!
Mrs. Won was absolutely excellent, skilled and appropriate. Thanks!

We had an absolutely amazing DMZ tour! The tour had been recommended to us, which is why we decided to book directly with the tour operator—and we are so happy that we did! Everything was very well organized, informative and exciting from beginning to end. Our guide, Lucky, was truly the best! She was incredibly friendly, funny and knowledgeable, and she made the whole experience unforgettable. She explained everything clearly, answered all our questions and took such great care of the entire group. You can really feel how passionate Lucky is about her work. Thanks to her, the tour was not only educational but also so much fun. We would 100% recommend this DMZ tour—and especially Lucky—to everyone visiting South Korea. Thank you, Lucky, for this wonderful experience! 😊
Lucky was a fantastic guide and really made sure we ticked everything off on schedule, would highly recommend.
Won was an awesome tour guide! Very knowledgeable and fun. The tour was better than expected, it was very interesting.
What an amazing day we had!! Lucky was the most amazing tour guide for us. My son and I had an unbelievable experience. She answered all of our questions and knew all of the ways to ensure that we had a smooth day and could try to take a different route from most other visitors which let us have more time to experience the DMZ, the village, and the bridge. She answered every question we had, even ones just about life in Korea in general. This was a day we will never forget.
We spent the day leaving from our hotel, on time, in a great vehicle - with a driver, our guide and our 4 person family. Once we arrived in the area of the 38th Parallel, we moved to a tour bus that was allowed to drive into the DMZ. Our guide stayed with us on the larger bus, making me feel that we had a private guide even amongst the larger crowd. Her deep knowledge, her use of graphics on her iPad to support her answers to our questions, felt professional and supported her eloquent lessons of the history that led to the separation of North and South Korea. We visited Japan and Korea this trip. This tour was fantastic, and the most memorable experience I have had in a very long time. YMMV - but I saw in my kids eyes the birth of an awareness that did not exist before.
We had a great tour, guided by Won! She had so much interesting details to tell and guided us easily through the day.
The tour was fun, enjoyable and informative, our guide Sophia made it a truly memorable experience
Sophia Kim is a great tour guide! She is very kind and attentive!
Sophia Kim was our tour guide. She was attentive in taking care of us. Had a sense of humor too!
Won was an amazing guide! She was so knowledgeable and sweet and we had a great day! Recommendation, affirmative.
The tour was fantastic. It was very convenient and planful. Won was a great communicator. Very enjoyable trip!
The tour starts early and it is worth it because there are a lot of stops and sightseeing on the way. Won speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable about the DMZ and Korean history
Sophia was very friendly helpful. She made it fun and interactive. My favorite part was tunnel 3. And we got some great pictures at the bridge. Low to moderate fitness level required for all the hiking.
My 16yo daughter and I absolutely loved this tour, mainly thanks to our expert tour guide Ace! She kept our small group engaged and informed throughout the various locations in the Paju DMZ. We had also added the Gyeongbokgung Palace tour afterwards and Ace was our private guide to all things Joseon-era. There were so many interesting historical details we would never know had we not had Ace. Highly recommend!!!
Our guide Ms Won is very helpful, very knowledgeable and guided us throughout the tour . Highly recommended her if you decide to go for the trip .
Tour guide Andrew is very friendly and provides a lot of assistance for our trip. We really enjoyed having a tour guide like him.
We book the private tour and it was perfect. Good amount of time at every stop. We really enjoy the tour with Ace.
The guide, Ms. Won was a terrific guide. She was very knowledgeable, informative, and accommodating. The tour itself was extremely interesting and a great experience, packing in many individual sites into one tour.
We had a wonderful day at the DMZ guided by Won. She was a terrific guide - very knowledgeable and generous with sharing information with us. Paying to do the small group tour was definitely worth it - there were 8 in our group which meant there was lots of time to ask questions and learn throughout the day. The meeting with the North Korean defector was a real highlight of the day, as well as venturing into the 3rd tunnel which was a really tangible experience, and the observation tower to look into North Korea through binoculars was very memorable too. Highly recommend this tour
Tour guide Ms.Won was very informative and helpful. Explained all details of the tour. Thank you
Thank you Sunny Seoul Korea for letting us have a private tour. Thanks to our wonderful guide Sophia who made the logistics very smooth and provided us with many interesting facts about the Korean War and the history of the DMZ, it was indeed a very special experience. The Gwangwha Peace Observatory was the highlight for us because it was less than 2 km away from North Korea and it wasn't as crowded as other sites in the DMZ. We really enjoyed the tour and definitely recommend it.
I went on your guided tour to the DMZ on Thursday 19th March (pick-up from my hotel at 06:30); our guide for the day was Ace. I just wanted to say what a fantastic experience I had: at times it was very sad and moving; and at all times it was thought-provoking. I found the question-and-answer session with the lady who had defected from North Korea very interesting and informative, and also our time at the observation tower brought out many different emotions and perspectives. I would particularly like to thank Ace for everything that she did. As a guide, she was friendly, courteous and approachable, and also well-informed and knowledgeable about all of the issues discussed during the trip. And when the tour was finished, she took time out to help me find a place where I could top up my Tmoney card in order that I could return to my hotel on the Seoul Metro. As we were parting company, I said to Ace that I would remember the trip and her part in it for the rest of my life. The whole thing was an amazing experience on so many levels and I would recommend it without hesitation.
Great tour with Sophia and Pak. Sophia was very knowledgeable with excellent English skills. She was very attentive and helpful in guiding us along and keeping us on track for the multiple stops and changes in transportation while visiting the DMZ. We would love to have her again as a tour guide. The highlight of the tour was meeting and being able to ask questions with the DPRK defector. An amazing story!
Ace was absolutely amazing! She made sure to give us buffer time since we had our grandma traveling with us, and she could answer any and all of our questions!
It was an interesting and enlightening experience. The highlight was having a briefing from a North Korean defector. It was well worth the time and our tour guide was very informative, friendly, and knowledgeable.
A wonderful historical and cultural trip with Han and Patrick who went out of their way to explain everything as we made our way through the DMZ. I would thoroughly recommend.
Captain Obvious holds a gun @ irony. @ DMZ a volley silent blanks ringout a crying echo ... Where North meets South like East meets West. Through binoculars we look to see how the barbed wire twain can meet again. Ace, Sunny Soul Tour guide showed the way on our intimate sojourn of three. Our individual questions were answered to promote the higher cause. P. McDonald Castlemaine Victoria, Australia
Sophia was an excellent guide and she gave us a lot of historical context and fascinating local information. I would go on any tour with her as our guide, but her personal connection to the DMZ gave it an edge on some of the other groups we saw there. Be prepared to walk, there are a lot of hills!
We went on a DMZ tour with Sunny Seoul Korea, guided by Sophia. Sophia e was incredibly sweet and hardworking! It was truly a pleasure to be on the tour with her. She always kept the big picture in mind, made sure we had everything we needed, and answered all our questions clearly and loudly. She also gave us great recommendations for other places to visit in Seoul. I can definitely recommend taking a tour with Sophia — she was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, the weather was bad that day, so we didn’t get to visit the “Red Suspension Bridge.” However, we received a refund for that part of the tour, which we really appreciated. It was very fair of them not to take us there in the rain and give us a poor experience.
The communication pre trip was excellent, puck up location and times very clear. Our guide Sophia contacted us personally to share information and was accessible for questions. The van was warm and comfortable, perfect small group size. We had a great day and enjoyed all the sights, however definitely highlight at the observatory and cafe overlooking north Korea. Sophia was kind, knowledgeable and personable. Would recommend to anyone. Small group os definitely the way to go.
Was a great tour. Learned a lot. Liked to size of only 6 people. Everyone in our group was great. Great atmosphere with a small group. All fees beng incuded is helpful. The tour was long. But did go by fast with moving to the next location. We did to experience a good owrkout with all the walking. The details was not kidding on the amunt of walking. Lol The 3rd Tunnel Walkway was an experience of it's own. Sophia was great. She is very knowledge. On all the areas of our tour. Plus she included her personal family experice as well.
Amazing journey with Jung. Thank you Jung for your kindness and smiles!!! Jung Jung Jung Jung Jung Jung Jung amazing! Thank you again Jung!
Was a super nice and very informal trip by Jung! Both me and my family learned a lot of new stuff, and the information was provided in a beautiful combination of humor and respect for the history.
Our guide Jung was smiley and happy and informative. Interesting information about the DMZ and an experience to remember. And a pretty bridge.
Lovely trip with Jung! Nice host, good itinerary and comfortable minivan! Saw all the things you'd want to see, on a great day to visit. Also very interesting to talk to the woman who fled North Korea. :)
Sophia was amazing- she wa quick to answer every questions and knew how to navigate every situation. I would highly recommend.
Honestly, visiting DMZ was much more interesting than I thought it would be. Mostly because Grace is a great guide. Very knowledgable and engaging! Great service all the way around from pick up at hotel and shuttle bus service! Mr. Kim drove us comfortably in his very well air conditioned and very comfortable van. Highly recommend!!
Eunice was a great tour guide who was very informative and engaging. We stoped at many locations like the 3rd infantry tunnel, Dora observatory, unification bridge and more. We also had the opportunity to ask questions to a North Korean defector. Overall a great tour that you will enjoy.
