Joseph was a wonderful guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He was also flexible and made great recommendations for places to visit and eat at. He was helpful with photos too. Highly recommend him.
Alex Kim is an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable, funny, and very patient with us—and the sometimes challenging traffic and parking limitations. He provided excellent advice about sites to see and restaurants to try. All in all, our day with Alex was a very enjoyable introduction to Seoul!
My tour guide was Joseph Hwang and he was excellent tour guide. His English was really good and I was able to see everything I wanted and he was extremely knowledgeable. I told him what I preferred for lunch and it was just what I wanted. He was flexible on the sites as I had changed my mind after the weather decided to change. I would definitely use him again because he knows the ins and outs of Seoul and is well mannered.
Travel with my mom for this trip and had a positive experience. We appreciated how curated the tour was. Our guide John was great. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but also flexible enough to help us my minor tweaks to the itinerary the day of, including finding us a delicious local spot for gom tang (ox bone soup) for lunch.
Mr. Tiger took good care of us. He has a wealth of knowledge about Korean history and culture. We had an amazing time, especially at the Korean War Museum and Ikseon-dong hanok village. Not only was he considerate & mindful, he's also very funny!
Amazing experience! SJ was very knowledgeable and professional! Highly recommend this Tour! He certainly made me appreciate the history behind the sights of Seoul✨
I am a first time visitor from the US and came to see my daughter who is studying abroad this fall at Sogang University. This was a perfect tour as we were able to experience 4 different places together. We chose a Palace (with changing of the guards), Hanok Village, a Temple and the Botanical Gardens. Our tour guide Joseph was amazing and really took care of us. He also took many pictures of my daughter and I all day and forwarded them all to me after the tour. So thankful to have the pictures and for his expertise.
We had a great day with Joseph. He helped us re-arrange our day last minute to get the most of it. He was personable, knowledgeable, grabbed us a great spot to see the changing of the guard ceremony at the Palace, took looks of great pictures for us &, best of all, gave us plenty of time at all stops to let us see everything without feeling rushed. One note - most Palaces & Museums are closed on either Mondays or Tuesdays so do your research before choosing your tour day.
I picked this tour when I did not find a tour that matched where I wanted to go This tour allowed me to piece together my ideal tour. Our tour guy Leo was fantastic! I Highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable and took us to our choice of sites. Felt that he gave us a wonderful tour. Also suggested a delicious place for lunch.
This was the perfect tour for my daughter and I. I don't like to do big tour groups, so this was a great option because we were able to pick the places we wanted to go. Our guide Joseph took us to rent hanbok prior to entering the Gyeongbokgung Palace. He also knew the perfect place to stand for viewing the changing of the guard ceremony. He instructed us not to enter the palace until after the ceremony because you cannot exit once you enter. Also, note that if you rent the hanbok, palace entrance is free. Note, that you do have a time limit on the hanbok so plan accordingly. We next went to Starfield Coex and ate lunch and browsed the library and mall. Joseph also helped us find stores we were looking for which was really helpful since most of the staff only spoke Korean. The last place was the museum. We could have gone 4 place but we were exhausted so we only did 3. The best things is having the guide and they drive you everywhere so you don't have to worry about transportation to places making this a great value.
This was a great way to see everything I wanted to see in Seoul at my pace and on my schedule. I learned a lot from Eddie and he took the time to really customize the experience for me. Highly recommend,
The tour was more than what we bargained for. I have traveled to different parts of the world and had a tour guide and no one beats the professionalism and charm that Joseph has. Spending time with Joseph gave us an insight of the history of Korea, especially the tour of the Gyeongbokyung Palace and the changing of the guards. We got not only a guide but also a professional photographer. This tour will be one of the most memorable of all.
We were very dissappointed with the guide. She was a uniquely poor communicator of the sites, historical periods and the dates and often confused periods. At the palaces she could not communicate basic information and added no value versus visiting without a guide. At one site she could not find parking so we just toured on our own. She was helpful in the food market, but still could have added more context. PLK needs to vet their guides much more carefully. PLK was also a poor fit which was my fault. They insisted we could not do this as a walking tour and was not flexible. The reality is that four sites we visited would have been very walkable and would have saved us and the guide driving and searching for parking.
Our family with my senior parents had an amazing day with Joseph! He was friendly, patient, on-time, flexible, respectful and knowledgeable. We sent a set itinerary (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village and Myeondong Shopping Street) and important points we hope to accomplish during each site around Seoul. Joseph took many pictures and videos of us which were amazing. We did not expect this from him, but it was a bonus that Joseph was our private photographer as well. He also recommended restaurants to eat which were delicious and other must-see shopping areas we should check out while in Seoul. Thank you Joseph! Highly recommend PLK Travel and our tour guide, Joseph!
A great experience in choosing your own trips with an educated and passionate guide. My nephew and i chose 1. Insadong, 2. Bukchon Hanok Village, 3.Gyeongbokgung Palace, 4. Myeongdong Shopping Street. Marie was so accommodating and welcoming. She was sincere in making sure our experiences were both memorable and joyful. She was gracious enough to take pictures for us and guide us to a fantastic eatery that my nephew thoroughly enjoyed.
Driver with very nice attitude Willing to show us the city and interact with us Clean car and very punctual
Sebastian, our tour guide, put us at ease in our first day in Seoul helping us get our currency exchanged and showing us his favorite place to eat - amazing tokbokki! - and how to order and pickup food in the food court at Coex Mall. He was warm and friendly and took us exactly where we wanted to go, adjusting based on our preferences and never rushing us! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore Seoul in a customized way.
This tour was totally awesome. We got to pick the places we wanted to go to. The list was amazing. We had ample enough time to see all of the sights that we wanted and really enjoyed ourselves.
Best experience ever! I’m so happy I booked a private tour with PLK. I was traveling with my elderly parents and our tour guide, Sebastian is the best. Touring soul in a clean with really good AC private van is the way to go. Our tour is personalized, it feels like a friend is showing us around town. Our tour guide is so nice and knows the ins and out of the city by heart. He gives us extra detours to secret/local spots, shows us how to get to places with less stairs, and the best part is having a local showing us where the best local foods are. Will definitely book again and I highly recommend to everyone.
We booked this tour at short notice and were not disappointed. Joseph, our guide, was punctual and made a couple of suggestions around changing the itinerary based on what we would be interested in (choosing the 4 venues was the hardest part of the booking). Highlights were the Bukchon Hanok village and Gyeongbokgung Palace - both of which involve a fair bit of walking. Joseph was very personable and generous with sharing his advice about other general experiences in Korea, especially around what and where to eat Korean food. Overall a very good experience.
We selected the Gyeongbokgung Royal Palace, the Bukchon hanok village, Itaewon-dong, the Namdaemun market, and Hongdae Street in the university district. This worked out very well for us. Our guide Taylor was very conversant with the history and features of the palace, while the other four places were far enough from our hotel that we might not have gotten there by ourselves--and they were very interesting! Taylor's English was easy to understand, and he was very accommodating. We'd recommend him to anyone. The one thing that might have been a little better was that we saw only a few houses in the Bukchon village but didn't find out till afterwards that there was also a commercial area we might have enjoyed.
Our tour guide John was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and professional in ever way. John took time explaining everything in detail. We were all very pleased with his background knowledge. In addition, he was courteous and pleasant. We were very comfortable in his presence. Furthermore, we truly appreciated his fluency in English. We highly recommend John for those visiting Seoul.
John was an excellent tour guide and helped me visit many different areas of Seoul. He came up with several “Plan B”s when ceremonies like the changing of the guard were cancelled due to the rain. John went out of his way to make sure I had my ideal sightseeing day in Seoul! We saw a lot, and I felt like I was able to get a good sense of the city on my quick trip.
Our tour guide Paul was an effective communicator and was knowledgeable about the places we visited. He gives good suggestions on where to go and what are the best places to be picked up in the areas you want to go.
Our tour guide, Paul, was wonderful! He provided a lot of information, fun, and a whole lotta laughs! He has made our trip to Seoul that much more fun and memorable. We truly appreciate the experience that Paul gave us, couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide.
Sebastian was absolutely fantastic. He arrived with hand warmers in a very swanky luxury vehicle and things only got better and better from there. Incredibly knowledgeable and proud of his City his love and humor shone through. He organized a very efficient and logical route from my choices but remained flexible to any of my last minute on the fly changes.
Jimmy was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about Seoul. All of the spots were beautiful and everything ran well and on time. We had a blast!
Our tour guide Henry Kim was excellent in sharing his knowledge about Korean history and with the places we visited. He speaks good English, he was very patient and willing to have our pictures taken that he would even suggest funny poses! Thank you very much Henry! Best, Grace, Tina and Olga
The staff was very friendly and helpful despite having a huge group. There was no problem or difficulties in our part. We were given some free time to roam around different areas on our own, which was nice. Recommend to anyone who wants to comfortably travel around Korea!
The guide was very kind. The explanation was perfect in all places. I could learn many different histories, not just cruise. The trip to Gwangmyeong Cave was also good, but the cruise in the West Sea was especially good. It was a thrilling experience that I couldn't experience on the Seoul tour. If you've finished your tour in Seoul, I recommend you to use this tour.
The guide was kind and the destination was worth the money. Especially the cave was good. The atmosphere was fantastic. If you are tired of Seoul, I recommend going to Incheon tour.
I found this tour only one day before the tour and booked. They responded promptly and booking was smooth. It was the best choice. Guide picked up us at the hotel and it took me about an hour to arrive in Incheon. Cruise was great and the cave tour was special. I really want to recommend this tour.
