very professional and accommodating. interesting tour of a charming market, good menu and a lot of food
We had problems arriving (taxis) and Jasmin was very nice, helpful and accommodating. As for the lesson itself - the meal we cooked was very good but Jasmine gave instructions a bit too fast, on the other hand - she answered all questions
The class was well done- delish recipes and a lovely book included. Only problem- chef talked very fast and we had to ask her to repeat instructions several times. Overall was a good experience. Facility was clean and comfortable. She accommodated several of us that did not eat meat so that was very much appreciated. All dishes were good portion size so consider it one of your meals for the day.
Very enjoyable! Jomin provided a wonderful tour of her local neighborhood market. Afterwards, we went to her cooking studio where she taught the basics and assisted us in preparing a few Korean dishes. It was both educational and a lot of fun!
Loved the tour of the market and the cooking studio was very nice & clean. I feel like it was easy to get here by subway and get education on 3 dishes. My teen daughter and I really enjoyed it.
Jomin was a gracious host and an excellent teacher. I enjoyed both the tour and the cooking experience! Would do again!
Fantastic experience. Started with a walk through the market and then a 3-course cooking class, which is delicious. Customizable to food preferences.
It was wonderful! It was just our group of 3. We learned so much about the food and everything tasted great!
Amazing experience. The instructions were super clear and easy. We felt like we could absolutely make the food again. The market tour was also great!
Amazing well tailored cooking class with small group allowing the class to be amazingly run with no time pressures. 10/10 would recommend for everyone.
Lots of fun, enjoyed both cooking class and market. Had fun exploring new cuisine and left with a cookbook souvenir
This was a great time. Easy meetup outside the subway. We got a guided tour through the market (which was much less crowded with tourists than the Gwangjang market in Jongno I’d been to) and a bit of time to explore on our own. Then we went to the cooking school where each participant had their own cooking station. Everything was really well-planned and the food itself was truly delicious! Impossible to know ahead how a group is going to be, but ours was really fun. Great people to hang out with and enjoy the evening.
Jomin was wonderful! This was the perfect experience for one of our last days in Korea. She has thought of everything and makes this so fun. Wandering through the market was the highlight for me, just getting to see and hear about all the different foods and uses. So glad we are able to bring a cookbook back as well. Do this!! 10/10. Thanks again Jomin!!
This class was excellent!Jomin had an excellent teaching style. The cooking studio was clean and good lighting. She spent a lot of tumme on instructing us. The meat and vegetables and tofu were high quality and a LOT of food.
I thoroughly enjoyed this cooking class. The dishes were simple and delicious and the host was welcoming and knowledgeable. I would recommend
Amazing time together with family to learn culture We worked through market and place was very clean and organized
Probably the best cooking class I’ve ever taken. I was specifically looking for one that’d teach how to make kimchi stew, but the other dishes were just as good. Huge recommend!
Incredible! It was our second class - we took kimchi class first and then decided to go for another one :) we loved it very much as well, the bibimbap was soooo good - I'm thinking about it very often... Thank you so much!
It was a super interesting cooking lesson. Jomin showed us the local market and gave us a lot of advice regarding what to eat there. The dishes we prepared were good. We go back home with the recipes, pictures and a good meal in the belly. Thanks!
Jomin was an excellent market guide and showed us a lot we might've missed. The cooking made us feel empowered and we loved how it tasted in the end.
Our host was excellent, the tour of the market was a lovely addition to the class and the food very good! Overall a fantastic experience I would recommend to others
This was a great introduction into Korean cooking! Jomin lead us through a Seoul street market where we picked fresh ingredients then went back to her studio where we cooked three delicious foods. She's definitely a strict chef, but in a good way that made the class fun and exciting. She was also extremely accommodating to anyone's food allergies and preferences. If you're looking for a cooking class in Seoul, I would highly recommend this one!
The cooking class was super nice, authentic and we learned a lot. Also loved the part, that we visited the market beforehand.
I loved the professional guidance, the professional kitchen and the best hospitality. Everything was explained in English and was easy to follow instructions. Definitely a must do
We’re so glad we took this market tour and cooking class with Jomin. Even though some of the market was closed due to the Chuseok holiday there were enough stalls open to get a good idea. Her explanations about banchan, kimchi and other foods and customs was really interesting. Jomin then taught us how to make Japchae, Kimchi Stew and Stir Fried Pork in a well appointed kitchen. We then had a treat eating our dishes accompanied by makgeolli. A great experience all around.
The cooking class with Jomin was so much more! We walked through Mangwon market and Jomin showed and explained ingredients that we would be using in our cooking as well as answered our naive questions. Jomin was patient and guided us in preparing our dishes for lunch.
It was a great experience. We started with a nice market walkthrough and our host shared so many interesting information with us. Later we came to a super clean and organized cooking studio and we had an amazing time cooking as well as eating our cooked meals… I would repeat this again anytime! Thank you!!
100% recommend this market tour and cooking class. Jomin's knowledge and information sharing was perfect. Very clean kitchen area and seperate dining area to eat the food we prepared, which has air con, as it was hot and humid today Thursday 18/9/2025. The colour printed recipe book is to take with you. I loved this experience, there were 8 in our group today who all loved the experience. Judy, Gold Coast, Australia
What an amazing experience! The class began with a walk through the local market, where Jomin gave explanations of the fresh ingredients and local products. Everything was so well organized and easy to follow. Cooking together was fun and engaging, with recipes that were approachable yet authentic. We got to taste our creations at the end — unbelievably delicious and full of flavor! On top of that, we received a recipe book to take home, which is such a nice touch and will let us recreate the dishes again. Jomin is knowledgeable, friendly, and makes the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who loves food and wants a memorable cultural experience!
This class was so fun! The market tour was interesting and informative. I liked how she took us to a market that locals shop at. The food we made was delicious and things we can definitely replicate when we get home! It was really great that each of us got to do all the steps of each recipe, instead of each doing just a few pieces. I learned a lot!
The class was fun and well organised. First you walk through the food market and she stops by to explain some of the stalls. We got 20 min to buy some snacks and other food we wanted to buy. Dinner menu was pork bulgogi, kimchi soup, and japchae noodles. It was actually one of the best meals we had in Seoul! I guess home cooking is always the best. The recipes are very easy so I will make them once back at home for sure.
professionally run , fun and educational. nice fellow students . I would take this course again to learn the other dishes .
I highly recommend this cooking class! Jomin, who leads and teaches the class, is absolutely wonderful. She explained everything clearly—from our visit to the market to guiding us step by step through each dish. The class was approachable and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re an experienced cook or just starting out. Jomin also provides a beautifully curated recipe book that includes not only the dishes we made together, but also other favorites she recommends. If you’re looking for a cooking class during your time in Seoul, this is truly a fantastic choice!
The class was fun and insightful. The walk through the market and explanations about the foods sold and eaten was interesting. Overall the experience of cooking korean food was fun.
Fun experience and the food was fantastic! Jomin led us through the market explaining what we were seeing. Then we went to her studio to start cooking. She explained each ingredient and the cooking process for each. We ate the food we cooked. Terrific! Highly recommended! Even for novice chefs.
A very enjoyable and informative private tour of Mangon market followed by a fun class cooking Korean cuisine.
We walked from train station to the market. The instructor showed us around the market and told us about the different foods there. She bought clams and soft tofu for our stew. We went to her studio, where we each had our own station and private room to dine in. Each station was set up with the necessary ingredients for each student’s meal. The instructor walked us through how to make the bulgogi marinade, then we proceeded to make the tofu stew. We took our bowl of soup to the dining room to enjoy it while the next meal prep was set up for us. We were instructed on how to cut the vegetables for the beef bibimbap and then how to cook on our individual burners. Afterwards we cooked the bulgogi and took our last two meals to the dining room. We enjoyed the meals and were provided with take home bowls for leftovers.
I don’t love to cook, but my daughter does. We did this activity mostly for her. That said, it wound up being a great time for both of us. Our teacher also easily accommodated my food restrictions and I was able to have the same great experience.
The cooking class was very informative, and we had a great time. The food was wonderful. Thank you so much!
Well explained, great teacher.Provided guidance for three dishes, was flexible for dietary restrictions.
Great experience! Learn how to cook traditional Korean cooking. Jomin is very knowledgeable and accommodating to everyone’s dietary needs.
Jomin was so knowledgeable and patient - we really loved the design of her class and cute cooking studio!
Learning to cook authentic Korean dishes was a great way to enjoy my time in Seoul. Cookorean hosted by Jomin was a perfect. The day before my class, Jomin emailed the list of 3 dishes that we were going to prepare & made sure there was no issues with food allergies. The joining instructions were clear & our group meet near the Mangwon station for our shopping trip for our ingredients at the Mangwon market. After the market, we headed to our cooking studio, which was clean & well laid out for our group of 4. We prepared our 3 dishes & enjoyed our meals. Jomin was an excellent chef & guided us through the process with ease. She spoke English very well. She also provided each of us with a small cookbook with a variety of easy to make authentic Korean dishes for our future meals once we are back home. Thank you for the great experience.
Great way to start with a visit to the local market. While we didn’t buy ingredients, we got valuable insights from a local, which was much appreciated. We cooked three dishes: seafood tofu stew, bibimbap, and bulgogi. The instructions were clear, the meals were delicious, and they were easy to recreate at home. Highly recommend!
Jomin was an incredible instructor! During our scheduled time, not only did we get to explore an authentic Korean market, we also learned a few Korean facts, cooked incredible meals, and got a small cookbook to take home. I for sure left the lesson more knowledgable than I arrived :)
What a fun way to start our visit to South Korea! This cooking class was such a great way to learn about Korean cuisine and cooking methods, as well as typical Korean ingredients. We started off with a short tour of a market and went on to make some delicious food! Thank you, Jomin, for a fun morning!
Fabulous cooking course and market tour. Not only did we get to make 3 delicious meals but we also had such an insightful tour of the market beforehand. The cooking school was clean and spacious, instructions and guidance was super clear (even for newbie cooks like myself), food was absolutely delicious, and even had a cook book to take home. We learnt how to prepare prawns and anchovies, made stock from scratch and also got to taste some Rice wine. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting Seoul who is keen to not only make some delicious food, but learn about Korean cuisine.
We had a great time! Jomin showed us around Mangwon market and perfectly guided us through cooking Sundubu Jjigae, Bibimbap and Bulgogi. Even though we're not the biggest seafood fans, the stew was very tasty! The general information we received about the market and Korean food culture was superb, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul!
Teacher Jomin provided all the tools & ingredients, and gave excellent instructions plus tons of information about Korean food culture. The classroom is professional and clean, and Jomin has a lovely warm personality. I'm so glad I took this class!
