Nahee was a brilliant tour guide- energetic and fun. She is informative and her English is very good. The tour was fab, lots to see and learn. The tunnel incline is intense and not for anyone with pain or mobility issues. Standing on the boarder of north and South Korea was cool. No photos allowed in the tunnel.

We had a great time visiting DMZ with our very energetic, fun and informative guide Happy Sam. He was very knowledgeable, always informed us ahead of time about the next steps and was very efficient in managing the group and the time. I highly recommend taking this tour. Ask for Happy Sam when booking it.
Jay was very informative and sweet. I would recommend her for the DMZ tour.
Nehaa was amazing! Highly professional
The half day tour was great. Wonderful and cheerful guide Nahee who was very knowledgeable.
Great guide and service!!! Cindy was amazing, very kind and her laugh was contagious!
Really disappointed cancelled within 24 hours of departure, because of boat maintenance reasons ( yet still available for purchase online) they transfered us to another tour but no information just the name, no tour company name and a later time and different location pickup. Other people were the same as us, we had no idea what the shedule was just that we were doing a bridge and tunnel 3. We had booked for tunnel 2, village and boat ride. This was plk travel. Not sure if the tour we were rebooked on was with them but do not eat under any circumstances the $10 000won buffet lunch, go to the end of street and get kfc, the lunch they took us to was the worst ever!!
Jin from PLK travel was phenomenal - very personable and made it a perfect outing. The boat ride was not available and they let us know the night before which was helpful.
The package we selected with the boat tour became unavailable due to maintenance issues with the boat. They were quick to reach out to us to notify and offer us other options and for the same price. Chloe was our tour guide and was absolutely amazing. Nothing but smiles and good energy the whole time. She made it a great experience for us. Thank you Chloe!
Julie was an exceptional guide for the DMZ!!! I was so lucky to have an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and resourceful guide.
Paul, our guide, was amazing and entertaining. He is also, in his own words, very sexy!
wonderful experience with lots of supports from the best tour guide Julie. She is not just professional but careful and nice. I also enjoy the local buffet with very fresh vegetables very much. We love her and wish to join her tour again.
I rarely join guided tours, as it’s usually not my preference. However, for visiting the DMZ, having a guide is essential. I was fortunate to be accompanied by Paul, an outstanding guide, highly professional, engaging, and with a wonderful sense of humor. Thanks to him, the hours we spent felt like they passed in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this tour, and if possible, request Paul. He truly makes the experience exceptional.
Julie is awesome, very witty, excellent, smart and kind. She went above and beyond explaining every thing to us. She is so sweet she literally took such good care of us. She is very detail oriented and hard working . So thankful
Exploring the Korean Demilitarized Zone with Dennis was a truly eye-opening experience. His in-depth knowledge of history and current affairs brought powerful context to every site we visited. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to understand the DMZ beyond just the surface.
The tour was very interesting and understanding about the recent history of South Korea Paul our tour guide was excellent, he had a large knowledge of the area and explained it with many details
julie was very nice and patient with us. We really enjoyed this half day trip to dmz and Peace Park.
The boat part was not available so went to the suspension bridge. Really enjoyed the tour, Julie was absolutely amazing, had so much fun with her, a real gem to spend the day with, funny and energetic!
Great trip, learned so much about korean history from our amazing tour guide Paul. He was kind and so knowledgeable and shared his own families history and experiences too. He made everyone feel so comfortable and it felt like seeing an old friend who wanted to show me their home country. Every step of the tour was well planned and thought out highly reccomended tour! Thank you Paul for an amazing time 😃
Views were amazing and learned a lot about history and culture of DMZ and the war. Our guide, Paul Lee, was brilliant and funny, keeping it interesting.
Great tour from Paul! A great day spent with a passionate your guide, I would highly recommend this.
I think the whole DMZ tour ..if I Wana do and enjoy the Paul Lee is the only guy...after the tour we were choked it just got finished ,fabulous not only guide but a person,,Paul for you 😘
The best tour ever with Paul. Lots of walking come prepared with comfortable shoes. Also, the mornings can be cold so bring an extra layer
MOON YOUNG is the best tour guide! So much knowledge, perfect language skills, a great way to discover the history of the Korean war. Impressive to see the boarder, checkpoints, and tunnels. Thank you
Joey Goog was our English Tour Guide.Had an amazing day and enjoyed the tour with Joey. She’s eloquent, friendly and knowledgeable. She’s humorous and gives a very positive environment. Please thank her for the wonderful and memorable memories.
Great and very well organized tour with PAUL - our Guide. He was not only super friendly and funny but loves his job, knows history, makes sure that the group behaves per the rules but still has fun. Very well balanced, as a kind of heart of the tour. The tour was also interesting, good mix of excitement while on the road in the secured areas also in the tunnel (really felt the heat), but relaxed and nature times were also given. Btw. time mgt. was also perfectly there! So lot, including the boat tour, which was the 3rd highlight on that historical and hardly (recently) accessible river... all these, just in one day!
We had a wonderful time with Joey on the tour. She was informative and very helpful and kind. She even made jokes! She made sure my elderly grandfather was able to come along and stay safe. She always made sure we got to each stop before it got busy and we did not lose anyone. Watch out for the third tunnel if you are not short! I bonked my head (in helmet) many times on the roof and I am only 173cm tall! Our bus driver was also great. I am often carsick on tours such as these, but he drove very smoothly and safely. He made sure we could see the sights but also got everywhere quite fast!
We had a great time learning about history and interesting things about South and North Korea. The tour guide was very friendly and funny. I recomend visiting this tour and i hope u get tour guide named Paul. He is the best.
Despite the whole day raining and I couldn’t really see anything due to fog in the distance, I still had an incredible day with our tour host Lucy. She was very informative about the various locations we visited. I would do this tour again on a sunny day to see the distance better.
Do this tour. The guide we had - Paul - was superb. He was extremely knowledgeable and was a ray of sunshine on a rainy day!
Joey was the greatest host. Very knowledgeable and tells us what we need to know to enjoy this lovely tour. I highly recommend this tour with Joey, she is funny and full of enthusiasm. Thanks Joey.
I had an amazing time on this tour with Joey as our tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and her English was fantastic. Her jokes made the whole tour feel so at ease and her sense of humour made my day! At the same time, she was able to give us such interesting facts about the DMZ and took everyone’s needs into to consideration with professionalism and patience. Would highly recommend this tour to anybody visiting Seoul and will definitely try to do it again when the weather is a bit better!
We booked a DMZ tour through booking.com. Our tour guide Joey was truly amazing. She was so knowledgeable and all topics relevant to the tour and was also very passionate about what she was talking about. She was also very funny and had some great jokes. Her English was perfect and she was very clear. Some of the history that she shared with us was also very touching and she described the history on the Korean Peninsula very well. Although the fog on the day meant we couldn’t see into North Korea from the observatory it was still a very enjoyable day. The tunnel was probably the best part of the tour where you could go along way underground to view and old tunnel that North Korea as digging before the south found it. A really great day, made even better by an outstanding tour guide. I could not recommend this company enough and you are extremely lucky if you get Joey as your tour guide.
Our DMZ tour with Dennis was absolutely brilliant! Dennis was not only incredibly knowledgeable and insightful but also brought a great sense of humor to the experience. His funny quips and lighthearted approach made the day engaging and fun without taking away from the gravity and history of the places we visited. Walking through the tunnels and standing on the observation deck overlooking North Korea were intense experiences, and Dennis’s detailed explanations and engaging stories helped us appreciate each moment. This tour was an unforgettable highlight of our trip, and I’d highly recommend Dennis as a guide to anyone visiting the DMZ!
The experience was very good. Unfortunately the Boat voyage was unavailable due to some tension between South and North Korea. The alternative tour was nice. Also the observatory was closed but our guide Paul make the experience very enjoyable!
Joey is the best guide! She is so smart and funny and really taught us so much about Korean history, the local and modern Seoul and kept us laughing the whole day! I really enjoyed her and her English and knowledge is excellent!
Paul was amazing! We weren't able to do the boattrip because the timeframe moved up earlier. But Paul didn't make us regret this!
Joey was an engaging friendly knowledgeable tour guide, who was so helpful and answering every question and helping us see exactly what we wanted to see. The activities we did were great, it was so nice to spend time on the river with a cool breeze and a friendly boat driver and the green shores of the Imjin floating by. PLK really makes sure their guests have a fun comfortable time!
Great experience, very good guide and good pace with the tour. Learned a lot about the korean war and got a lot of perspective. Definitely would recommend.
Even with JSA closed it was an excursion that we enjoyed. Tour guide's english was poor, his verbiage rambled on and after a while tuned him out. The boat ride at end was confusing. A 20 minute ride on a boat no where near pictured in ad, no discussion or information.
Unfortunately, we were pushed to another DMZ tour (which was okay) last minute. Looking at reviews, it seems as though this is a common issues with this tour. It was a real bummer that we were unable to attend this and would be interested in knowing how often this occurs.
This was my favorite part about our trip to Seoul. Our tour guide, Joey, was very knowledgeable about all of the places we visited as well as the history of Korea. We took our 17 and 11 year olds and they both really enjoyed it as well. A must see in Seoul for sure.
We went on 11th June for the full day DMZ tour with the boat experience. Our tour guide Jun was amazing, personal, friendly and even funny ☺️ Honestly he was the one that made the experience worth it for me!
Julie is the best DMZ guide! Patient, accommodating and knowledgeable, she takes the time to explain everything in detail and point out everything a tourist might miss. Her recommendations for souvenirs, products and food along the way were spot on. Your trip to SKorea/DMZ won’t be complete without her!
I have been getting Viator to see different places in different countries, every time me and my family travel abroad. So far, the DMZ tour hosted by JUN of PLK Travel and Tours was the best we experienced, compared to other hosts. He can speak English and easy to understand and provides historical information about Korea and the DMZ. We didn't experience any dull moments with him. Very accommodating and helpful to his guests. 10 STARS FOR JUN.
Great! Very glad I went! Informative and interesting! You see a lot in one day! Everything was smooth but could had more time in the stops, 10 min extra would have been enough:)
It was an eye opening & informative tour . Thanks to our guide Kim. Tour was organised & enjoyable. Highly recommended. Good job Kim
Mr. Cool, the tour guide was awesome. We liked the places, especially going into the 3rd inflitration tunnel. We visited the Dora Observatory and it was a clear day so we were able to see into North Korea.
Our guide is Julie. The bus pick us up very on time, so do the entire trip schedule. She is very friendly and helpful. She guide the tour very seriously yet very relax. Double thumbs up!!. In a simple short summary, our today trips to DMZ is terrific.
I 100% recommend this, having traveled the world I have rarely seen a guide as enthusiastic as Julie ( the one we had). She made sure we understand everything and took joy in teaching us with a little bit of humor. Great Experience
