Shilla Stay Guro is an absolute gem! Having stayed here for two nights, I can definitely say I would love to return.
The location couldn't be better. it is right next to the subway station, making getting around Seoul super easy. You get the quality and peace of mind of the Shilla brand name at an excellent value. A special shoutout to the breakfast buffet: the spread was so delicious and satisfying that I ended up skipping lunch both days!
To top it all off, the service was top notch. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, with a special mention to Annie at the front desk for her warm greetings and stellar service throughout my stay. Highly recommended!
Had a very pleasant stay at Shilla Stay Guro. The hotel is not located in the main tourist area, but that's actually not a problem. There is a Subway Line 2/Green station right across the street, making it easy to get to central Seoul. One of the highlights of the neighborhood is Boramae Park, which is just a short walk away and is a wonderful place to relax, take a walk, or simply sit and read a book.
The service was excellent. Sophia, Chloe, and the gentleman working at the front desk on Friday (10 July) afternoon—I assume those are their English names, as shown on their name tags—made both the check-in and check-out processes smooth and efficient. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping the room clean and tidy every day. The breakfast restaurant hosts throughout my stay from July 6 to July 10 were also consistently welcoming and friendly.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The room is on the smaller side, but it is functional and has everything needed for a comfortable stay.
My only suggestion is that the room photos on online travel agency should better match the actual room. The room I stayed in had a different layout and setup from the one shown in the booking photos, which created different expectations before arrival. Updating the photos to reflect the actual room would make the listing more accurate for future guests.
Another one is that the hotel should consider expanding the gym. It is well maintained, but it feels quite cramped. At one point there were only 3 guests, including myself, and it already felt a little awkward because of the limited space.
Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Shilla Stay Guro. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect—it’s just a short walk from the Guro Digital Complex subway station, which made traveling around the city incredibly convenient. There are also tons of great restaurants within walking distance, so finding a good meal was never an issue.
A special shoutout to Sophia from the front desk staff! She welcomed us for our check-in and handled our check-out as well—she was absolutely great and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Excellent service, clean rooms, and unbeatable convenience. Highly recommend!
My husband and I checked in last night and so far our stay is amazing! The hotel is clean and everyone is so friendly. We recently got married and had to extend our stay due to our flight issue but they took good care of us and even gave us a small gift to celebrate our wedding!
I definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone!
We had a great stay here. The rooms are clean, comfy, well-equipped, and large enough.
The breakfast is delicious. However, we had a longer stay and we got pretty bored of the menu after a week, since the breakfast options are decent in terms of quantity, but ultimately limited, and there is no rotation whatsoever in the menu.
The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating with all of our requests. Many thanks to Remi (I hope I correctly remembered their name!) for the special gift!
There is a subway station nearby (5m walk) that takes you to pretty much anywhere in the city (30-60mins to usual hotspots).
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
