Booked 2 rooms here during our Seoul trip. The location was great and a fun area to explore. The hotel itself has a modern, youthful energy — definitely a different tier than a luxury property like Park Hyatt, but the price matches that positioning. The gym was a nice touch, and while the rooms were compact, that’s par for the course for city hotels in Seoul at this price. Overall, solid value — everything was as expected, nothing exceeded expectations but nothing disappointed either. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, though that’s more because we’ve already explored the area than any complaint about the hotel

Without a doubt, this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Seoul. Its location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk from Hongik University Station. The room was spotless, spacious, and well-maintained, with a very comfortable bed, stunning views, and excellent amenities. Although the breakfast buffet was a little pricey, it offered a good variety of food and was satisfying enough to start the day. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul.
Stayed at RYSE Hotel for 6 nights in a Creator Room (King Bed). I booked directly through the hotel's website and signed up as a Marriott Bonvoy member. Before arrival, I informed the hotel that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The staff kindly prepared a complimentary bottle of Moscato, snacks, and a handwritten card, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, we had an awesome stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious enough for two large suitcases. The fridge was also tall enough to store a bottle of wine. There was also a water dispenser inside each room. The location is excellent, with Hongik University Station only a 5-minute walk away. Getting to the hotel from Incheon Airport was easy via Airport Limousine Bus 6002. A few things to note: - Soundproofing could be better, although it was generally quiet after 1am. - The TV is not a smart TV, but you can connect your phone using your own HDMI cable and adapter. - The air-conditioning worked fine, but the temperature could not be adjusted. - The shower head holder was poorly designed and shower head would fall when turning the water on or off. - Disposable room slippers and toothbrushes are not provided, so remember to bring your own. - Gym is big and spacious. - Only 3 lifts are available so may take some time to arrive. The Marriott Bonvoy app made communication very convenient. We could easily message the hotel for requests such as missing housekeeping items (bathmat, towels), cutlery, or other room needs. One issue we encountered was on our return trip to the airport. We waited at bus stop 14014 for Airport Bus 6002, but two buses passed without stopping when we flagged it with a few other travellers even though they did not appear full. As a result, we ended up booking an Uber XL to the airport.
"A hidden gem — artsy, trendy, and genuinely unlike any other hotel I've stayed at in Seoul." I've stayed at several hotels across Seoul, and RYSE stands apart from all of them. There is something truly special about this place — it has a distinct artistic identity that you feel the moment you walk in. The design is bold, curated, and genuinely creative. It's not just a hotel trying to look cool; it actually has a soul. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with a bathroom that fully matches the overall quality of the property. Everything was immaculate and thoughtfully put together. The service was flawless. Every member of the team was attentive, warm, and genuinely present — the kind of staff that listens and anticipates without being intrusive. It's exactly what you expect from a hotel of this level, and they deliver it consistently. The location is one of the best things about RYSE. Perfectly placed, easy access to everything Seoul has to offer, and yet the hotel itself feels like its own creative universe. The café downstairs is lovely — a great spot to settle into before heading out. What really stayed with me is the reaction of a local friend from Seoul, who asked me how on earth I had found this place. That says it all. RYSE has something that is hard to define but impossible to miss. If I come back to Seoul — and I will — this is where I'll be staying. Highly recommended
Located in the vibrant heart of Hongdae, a stay at RYSE Autograph Collection stands out as one of the most compelling choices in Seoul. The hotel is perfectly positioned with immediate access to an energetic mix of shops, restaurants, and charming cafés, all set within a lively university district that gives the area its youthful, creative pulse. One of the highlights is the presence of Blue Bottle Coffee right within the hotel, a delightful convenience for coffee lovers and a perfect way to start the day. The room reflects a sleek, modern aesthetic, thoughtfully equipped with quality amenities that enhance the overall comfort. While the space is slightly more compact than expected, it remains well-designed and perfectly manageable, maintaining a sense of style without compromising functionality. Overall, it’s a vibrant and well-curated stay that captures the spirit of Seoul while offering comfort and convenience in equal measure.
