Park Hyatt Seoul, a luxury boutique retreat situated directly across from the COEX complex in Samseong-dong. The hotel features a top-floor check-in concept: the main lobby sits high up on the 24th floor rather than the ground level, allowing guests to handle arrivals and departures with elevated skyline panoramas and quiet exclusivity. Throughout the stay, the hotel staff delivers consistently polished, warm, and attentive hospitality. The high-rise wellness facility, The Park Club, houses an infinity-edge swimming pool and a modern fitness center encased in floor-to-ceiling glass windows. While working out or swimming with panoramic city perspectives offers a distinctive urban vibe, the sightline directly overlooks the sprawling Yeongdong-daero underground transit construction zone, which slightly dampens the scenic appeal. Breakfast at the 2nd-floor restaurant Cornerstone easily steals the spotlight. Made-to-order entrees such as the eggs Benedict are executed with textbook poached eggs and rich hollandaise sauce, while the cold buffet excels with remarkably fresh, high-sweetness seasonal fruits and premium dairy selections including artisanal yogurts and cheeses. Despite the ongoing construction views, the sleek sky-lobby arrival experience, stellar service standards, and exceptional morning dining at Cornerstone make it a deeply rewarding urban staycation.

As a globalist, this is the worst Park Hyatt I have ever stayed at, and easily the worst hotel experience of my entire trip through China, Korea, and Japan. For the first night, I was assigned an extremely small, awkwardly shaped room that felt like one of the worst rooms in the building by checking floorplan. The hotel told me I could move to a better room on the second day, but the room change process was unbelievably disorganized. At 1:30pm, I stopped by the front desk and told them I would pack my belongings and prepare to change rooms. They said that was fine. At 2:00 pm, I stopped by front desk and I was told the new room was not ready and that I should return at 3:00. I came back at 3:10, only to be told it was still not ready and that I should return again in another hour. I asked what exactly the time that room will be available. After spending several minutes checking the computer, the employee said it’s half an hour, and then I asked if there are any other room can be available right away, they spend another few minutes to check and said no, I told them the app shows a suite is available, but they said only if I paid for an upgrade. I agreed to wait for the originally promised room and asked for my old room key back so I could at least return there while waiting. After several more minutes on the computer, she suddenly said the new room was ready, and after she was working on the room key, she said I would still need to wait another 30 minutes. Every simple question required several minutes of checking, followed by another contradictory answer. I was repeatedly asked to return to the lobby, given changing timelines, and left waiting without any clear explanation. The entire process was inefficient, confusing, and extremely frustrating. This is nowhere near the level of service I expect from a Park Hyatt, especially as a Globalist. A luxury hotel should not waste a guest’s entire afternoon because it cannot coordinate a basic room change or provide accurate information.
We asked in advance for a high floor room but on the first night we stayed at a very low floor room they said with nearby construction low floor room only has soundproofing like what? How could they install soundproofing only for low floor and not for higher floor, atleast they change us to a high floor room the next night. The first night at the low floor room it was very noisy the staff was definitely lying about soundproofing because I could hear people clearly outside talking and it was late at night then there was suddenly very loud bang bang sound scared me.and still could hear outside I think they were just lying about Soundproofing
The Park Hyatt Seoul leaves a strong impression, especially because the building itself is really what holds it back for me. That said, the service and food were excellent and felt truly 5-star. The location is also hard to beat, with a subway stop right nearby and COEX mall next door, which made it easy to get around and find plenty to do.
An excellent stay from start to finish. We had two rooms with different layouts, and both were thoughtfully designed and immaculate. Breakfast deserves a special mention — the food quality and service were top-notch. You get exactly what you pay for here, and then some. Coming from the US, the difference in hospitality really stood out. The staff had a way of making you feel special rather than just processed through — attentive without being intrusive. Would absolutely stay here again.
