Excellent rooms and departing service was kind and efficient. This was one of our favorite hotels for rooms. Quiet, spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour. One area that could use some improvement is check in. It was a little long and they couldn’t put our rooms on the same floor. The tone was okay but not friendly. I had to ask about breakfast rather than then sharing the information upfront even though I had booked a room for this.
Our favourite hotel on our recent trip to Korea. The ‘classic city view room’ was spacious with plenty of storage, the bathroom was large too. The bed was very comfortable. Located a little outside the busyness of central Myeongdong but still close enough to walk in. Would definitely stay here again.
What a wonderful boutique hotel experience! The place itself is absolutely beautiful, from the reception area to the elevators and the guest rooms. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay. One of my favorite touches was the stunning display of real flowers right at the entrance, which created such a delightful and luxurious atmosphere. Loved every detail of this hotel and would happily stay here again.
Pros Very well-designed and thoughtfully curated boutique hotel with a unique French and Chinese atmosphere and décor. The furniture and decoration throughout the hotel are beautiful, with great attention paid to even the smallest details. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed and linens. Of course, both the room and bathroom were impeccably clean. The team was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was of high quality, refined, and beautifully presented. Cons The location is not ideal, and a taxi is needed for almost every trip.
Had a great experience a L’Escape in Seoul. The people are super friendly, my room was very nice and upgraded, the products in the room are Byredo and smell great, and had a claw foot tub. The location was very central although everything including hotel is 1-1.5 hours from the airport by car so plan accordingly. The hotel is surrounded by siteseeing, shopping and many businesses and restaurants. It was perfect and central to get to many things without being too crowded. Suggestions for hotel to make it better- beds are hard and worn out, probably time to update. The gym needs more cardio. People traveling usually don’t have much time to workout and having only two treadmills is not great especially in a Marriott where it’s expected. Otherwise it had other great options for lifting. The food was very good in the room service at this hotel. And they helped me with many things. Overall I would recommend this place and they are part of Marriott and upgraded my room with my status to a suite so that was extra nice. Thanks again for a great stay.
