Koreana Hotel

Very good location for a tourist, near palaces and a short walk to two different metro stations. coffee shop and convenience store next door. The staff were extra friendly, especially Luca, who went out of his way to help with my requests. A very enjoyable stay.

First of all, we stayed there after we stayed in Tokyo for 6 days in a hotel that I was super impress with. So my opinion on this hotel could had been better if that was not the case. Anyway, as I walked into the lobby for check-in. I was super impress with the design and how nice the lobby was. Walking through the hall way of the floor of our hotel I was also very impress with the design. But as I walk into the room, it was very disappointed. Everything was pretty dated. Especially the bathroom. Really wish they could had invested more into remodeling the stay rooms where your guest spent most of their time instead of the hallway and lobby where they just come and go. There were some pros. The daily cleaning lady was very nice. We usually don't ask to get our room fix but she still provide us with brand new towels and toilet papers. The location is okay. It was close to a couple of the castle but not close to these main popular street like Myeongdong Night Market, Would require at least a 25 to 30 mins walk. Not fun in a hot summer days.

This is our first night, but as travelers, we believe the first-night vibe really matters. The location of the hotel is genuinely very good. However, unfortunately, there is no coffee machine in the rooms. In 2026, even many lower-category hotels usually have a coffee machine. 😂 The room itself is also below my expectations. The feeling it gives is: “Let’s just get it done, make it somehow acceptable, and move on…” 😏 I was not happy with the welcome/check-in experience. It felt quite stressful and unhappy, and gave me the feeling that I just wanted it to be over so I could go up to my room. Especially after the amazing hospitality experience we had in Japan, this was a big disappointment. Since this is not a cheap hotel, I do not find it very effective in terms of value for money so far. If I have a better experience during my remaining 3 days, I will definitely update this review. If I don’t, then you know nothing has changed. :) Still, it is wonderful to be in Seoul! ❤️

It is old but very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the location is very good. Close walking to most major tourist attractions. Breakfast is good selection of different mix.Will stay again in next trip.
