Hotel Pj Myeongdong

I cannot recommend this hotel. The walk to Myeongdong goes through an unattractive neighborhood, and the staff won't allow guests to use the side entrance by the wedding hall, The facilities are visibly aged. The air conditioning kept blowing hot and cold throughout our stay. Overnight, my room’s AC jumped to 42°C once, and my sister’s room dropped to 17°C once, waking us up sweating and shivering. The erratic temperature made it impossible to get a good night's sleep.

This is definitely not a budget hotel, so I expected a reasonable level of cleanliness and service. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing. First, the hairdryer in my room only blew cold air. I asked the front desk to replace it, but the replacement had exactly the same problem. No matter which button I pressed, it only produced cold air. When the staff member brought the replacement hairdryer, he didn’t say a single word. He simply handed it to me and walked away. Even if he couldn’t speak English, he could have used a translation app or at least made an effort to communicate. The lack of basic customer service was very frustrating. The cleanliness was even worse. The toilet still had stains left by the previous guest, which was shocking to see. The shower drain was clogged, causing the water to back up while showering. Although the room looked clean at first glance, the quality of housekeeping was extremely poor. Even after the room was cleaned, the trash had not been emptied, making me question whether it had actually been cleaned at all. For a hotel at this price point, this level of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service is completely unacceptable. This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever experienced, and I will never stay here again.

Excellent hotel! The service was outstanding, the location was perfect for exploring Seoul, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom, it was a great way to relax after a full day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend Hotel PJ and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at Hotel PJ near Eulji-ro 4-ga subway station and had a very comfortable experience. The room was spacious and well-equipped, making the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel also provides complimentary coffee, cider, soft drinks, and snacks in the minibar, which was a nice bonus. One of the standout features was the LG Styler in the room, which helps sanitize , remove wrinkles and remove odour from clothes conveniently during the stay. The hotel also has a gym on the 8th floor, open daily from 8am to 10pm. Another useful amenity is the water and ice dispenser available on every guest room floor. Overall, a comfortable and convenient hotel with thoughtful amenities and an excellent location near the subway station.
