Hotel Mercure Seoul Ambassador Gangnam Sodowe

Highly recommend the Mercure Ambassador Hotel in Hongdae. Location was superb. Walking distance to everything! Bus stops, subway stations, shopping centers, Red Road and all the eateries. Walking just 10 minutes will get you to so many places. Bus stops and subway station was like 2 minutes away. Rooms were clean and nice. Staff was super friendly. My 16yo and I loved staying here. From our room we saw the Red Road busking area that was filled every night with music and dance performances. We did hear some muffled music from our room at night but it didn't bother us. We rather enjoyed it. Jet lag made us turn in too early every night but we loved the lively nature of Hongdae. I would definitely stay here again if we have the chance to visit Seoul again. Gonna miss our stay here.

I checked into room 1907 today, and unfortunately, the state of the room was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, I noticed several cleanliness issues: the floors were dirty (wiping them with a wet tissue left visible grime), there was a very strong and unpleasant sewer/gas odor appearing to come from the air conditioning unit, the tissue box by the bedside had visible mold, and the air purifier was also not cleaned. Furthermore, as a Platinum member, I requested a late check-out for 2:00 PM but was denied due to the "unique room type." Given the premium price of this room, this was frustrating and did not meet my expectations for elite member service. On a positive note, the front desk staff were very professional and helpful. I also appreciated the complimentary minibar and the delicious desserts provided. Update: I had a great experience with the staff here. They were very attentive and quickly helped us switch to a better room. They also took our feedback seriously and ensured that cleanliness would be improved in the future. Highly recommended for their excellent service!

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel, and honestly, the room was spacious compared to other hotels in Seoul. The hotel is very centrally located, surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room was clean, and the mattress felt soft and comfortable. The front desk staff were very attentive. My only complaint is the laundry room. They only have two washers and two dryers; one of the washers was broken, and the dryers were not working properly. We had to spend double the money to dry our clothes, so they should really fix that. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely come back again. The room is clean, modern and very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Also really appreciate the gym and coin laundry which made everythinh so convenient. The location itself is perfect, surrounded by convenience store, shops and even my favorite fried chicken shop. A special thank you to Lynn from the front office. She was incredibly kind, helpful and spoke perfect english, which made the whole experience even smoother and enjoyable. Highly recommended Mercure Ambassador Hongdae!
