Hotel San Antonio El Real

Very disappointing experience and, unfortunately, a very customer-unfriendly approach. We booked the hotel for two nights, but due to an honest mistake, the reservation was made for the same dates one year later. When we arrived, the hotel could not find our reservation, and we realized the mistake. Our booking was non-refundable, but importantly, it did allow us to change the dates. We asked the hotel if they could simply move our reservation to the correct dates. They had rooms available, but refused to change the booking and instead wanted us to pay for a completely new reservation. What makes this particularly frustrating is that our original booking was still a full year away, so there was every opportunity for the hotel to resell those dates. We would have expected some flexibility and basic customer service in a situation like this. We understand that mistakes happen and that booking conditions matter, but the complete lack of willingness to find a reasonable solution was very disappointing. We will not be staying here again.

Rooms are a bit tired but location, ambience, staff, and food were great. Easy parking and a short walk along the aqueduct to attractions further north in town. We loved the Alcázar, Cathedral, and lunch at Plaza Mayor!

Although a bit out from the centro you just need to follow the aqueduct into the town. Great restaurant!! The breakfast was nice and the service friendly.

The location is great in that it is centrally located and has onsite parking. There is a small grass area in front but no seating. The inside is really were the appeal is. The common areas have beautiful architecture and furnishings. The restaurant and dining areas are beautiful but the patio is the gem of the place. Gorgeous arches with a fountain in the middle, don’t miss having a coffee here in the morning or a late night drink. Beds were uncomfortable but in common with other Spanish hotels of this style. Room view was okay but the quiet of the location made up for it. Would recommend if you love unique hotels!
