What a fantastic experience! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Underground Cagliari tour, and a huge part of what made it so special was our wonderful tour guide, Vanessa. Vanessa was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and engaging throughout the entire tour. Her enthusiasm and passion for the history of Cagliari really shone through, and she had a brilliant way of bringing everything to life. She made the experience both fascinating and entertaining, and nothing was too much trouble. We were also lucky enough to share the tour with a lovely family who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really added to the atmosphere and helped make the whole experience even more enjoyable for both me and my friend. It genuinely felt like we were exploring with a group of friends rather than people we'd only just met! The combination of such an interesting tour, a fantastic guide and wonderful company made it a truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Cagliari. A massive thank you to Vanessa and the lovely family who joined us for making it such a brilliant experience.

Very interesting tour! Maggie our guide was great!
Very enjoyable tour about the history of the tunnel and crypts, tour guide was very good and explained in English and Italian for the group
Super interesting and informative. The group was very large though.
Nice tour round three underground features of Cagliari with different histories. Very interesting but at nearly 2.5 hours, a bit long. Could easily have been shorter and covered main interesting point. Would recommend, but beware trying to park anywhere near! Leave plenty of time, it was a nightmare. Ended up parking in a shopping mall where we were unsure of parking rules. No fines yet!
Great tour of the underground passages, very informative guide, certainly got our steps in, but worth it for the hidden gems!
Our guide was very knowledgeable she provided a very good insight into the history of the region.
Length of tour and time just right
This tour is a fascinating way to learn Cagliari's history and uncover the secrets of ancient societies. It's full of surprises, too! Our guide Viviana was engaging and very knowledgeable, and made the tour exceptional. We took the tour with a snack at the end. Snack was generous and so tasty! This is a nice way to spend an afternoon in Cagliari.
3 separate underground caves/tunnels. Good explanations and history. A different look at Cagliari we didn’t know about just walking around ourselves
Great tour. Extremely informative and fascinating.
Well worth all the information. Tour guide was excellent. Different from the other tours we have been on
Well worth a couple of hours of our holiday to learn more about the history of Cagliari. Our guide Viviana was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. Grazie mille!
Our guide, Viviana (?) , was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and ready to answer our questions. All of this in simplicity and with a smile.
We really enjoyed the tour. We saw 3 underground areas - a WWII shelter attached to a school, an underground cave again used as a Shelter but from Roman origin and another which was part of the Roman city. They were very interesting and our guide Maggie was very good and informative
Informative tour given by an extremely knowledgeable guide. A little care to be taken as the floor can be uneaven in the low light in places but nothing to worry about
It is a lot of walking, so be prepared. You may have people that speak a different language so the guide will have to say everything twice which makes it a little longer.
It was a bit difficult because it was underground, so it was hard to breathe but well worth seeing at least one of the sites they took us to three
The most interesting historical tour we have been to. Our guide - Iletta (apologies if the name is not written correctly) presented the story of the sites in the most interesting way. I recommend this tour to everyone who would like to dive deep into the past of this beautiful place. Thank you!
Incredible tour and very knowledgeable Ilenia was very helpful. Thank you for this great experience.
Well worth doing. Great guide. Very informative and educational. The tour includes main sites of the city, including archeology, nature, art and spirituality.
Tour guide was phenomenal, she spoke very good English and kept track of everyone really well. This is definitely worth it if you’re interested in bits of history about Cagliari. It’s also about 10 degrees cooler underground.
Great tour. Something different & interesting. Lovely tour guide. Gave us a good recommendation for lunch.
We did the tour early in the morning, and it was a nice way to start our first day here. The first stop has a nice ambiance with all the candles, the 2nd and 3rd are more museum style. The guide was fluent in English and explained everything nicely.
Great tour into underground of Cagliari, tour guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. We also had a snack at a lovely restaurant at the end. It was worth the money and we would definitely recommend this tour
Our guide was fantastic, very informative about the local history and spoke in both Italian and English. The tour was very interesting and amazing in parts, well worth a go.
Guide was lovely and kind, happy to give advice about places to eat and go as well as had lots of information about the tour
A very interesting tour different to underground tours we have been on in the past. We especially liked the roman house and road under the church.
The history of cagliari will amaze you. Having a tour guide really enhanced the experience.. you will stat to understand the periods in history yhat Cagliari went through
This review has to do with the company Sardinia Magic Experience rather than the walking tour. While I take full responsibility for not being where we were supposed to meet at the given time, since this was a private tour I would have expected the guide to be available to us during the time we booked. This tour was scheduled for our first day in Cagliari and unfortunately we were having a problem with our cell phone connection and had no access to telephone or internet services. I had saved our tickets so I knew where we were supposed to meet but our Uber driver dropped us off at the Botanical Gardens and not at the Gate where we were to meet our guide. (Close but not close enough.) We asked several local people to help us but no one spoke English, not even the Uber driver. Long story short, the company did try to contact us when we weren't there at the given time, but without our service working it wasn't possible to connect. We were finally able to talk with our tour guide via telephone (albeit 45 minutes later than our meeting time) but she told me that it was no longer possible for her to give us the tour, not even a much shorter version that would accommodate the time that we had left on our reserved tour. My issue is that if this had been a group tour I certainly would not have expected anyone to wait for us, but since this was a private tour she was supposed to be with us anyway so why couldn't she give us an abbreviated tour. She did tell me the places where we were supposed to go so we did it on our own. $186 down the drain even though some of it is our fault.
Fabio was a great, knowledgeable tour guide. It was a fun underground experience especially on a hot day
Overall this was a really enjoyable tour with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide who switched effortlessly between Italian and English. You visit 3 sites. You start at the underground tunnels beside the school. Then it’s the Cripta Santa Restituta and then finally the museum at Santa Eulalia. The tour was scheduled for 2 hours but as it was a very hot day we stopped for a break and a snack at a cafe so our tour lasted 2.5hrs.
We went on the tour and firstly our guide Roberto was truly excellent and bring this tour alive. 3 very different places which appealed to each of the 3 generations in our party. The best part for us was seeing the underground sites but also our guide not only giving us so much surrounding information (and answering all of our questions) but also the linking walks in between the sites also took us to other parts of the city we had not seen. Completely recommend this if in Cagliari (or Sardinia) as it's truly a great way to send so time in Sardinia.
I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was a kind and very knowledgeable person.
Nice experience and lovely guid! The group though was far too big and some could not follow all the expectations.
Lovely guide (who spoke clear English!) with good knowledge of things. Beautiful under ground places.
Great tour!!! We really enjoyed the sites they took us to and our tour guide was very knowledgeable!
Fantastic guide. Fascinating. Insightful Fun
This tour was a fun change of pace for us, they really explain the history of the underground in an interesting way that adults and kids both found fascinating.
Cork to Sardinia. 2Hours 40mins
Maggie was our guide. She was friendly and helpful. She had a vast knowledge of the sites we were visiting. We loved seeing the Roman ruins, what an unexpected treat! We would absolutely recommend this activity! Prepare to arrive early, parking is challenging.
Personally I found the trip average. The first quarry/ cave near the school was a good experience with all the little candles. The other caves were in line with many other tours I’ve experienced only smaller. The tour guide was excellent. She had a nice personality and changed from English to Italian very efficiently.
100% fabulous island and the people are superb, so kind and helpful. The air b an b was disappointing given the amount that we paid. (£5,000 for 9 days) The gelato ice-cream is the best we've ever tasted, an absolute must if your visiting. We met locals who advised us, after wed paid £40 to go on a beach, that locals won't pay and that there's plenty of free beaches.
The tour takes you to 3 underground sites in Cagliari. The school tunnel, cripta Santa Restituta and the museum at Saint Eulalia. The guide's English was definitely understable but somewhat void of enthusiasm. The first visit (school's tunnel) had the most profound sense of exclusivity but it is basically a tunnel without many props or artifacts, so you would have let your imagination do the work. The crypt is well worth a visit as well due to its' ancient history The museum at the Eulalia church is quite new with a few gems inside. Overall - nice and easy tour, decent value for money but knock off any socks.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable & friendly. All 3 locations were very interesting & different to each other. Just a short walk between each one.
Excellent tour! The tour was defenitely worth of the money, tour guide was amazing and made tour even more enjoyable! 👏🏻 10/10, defenitely recommend!
We did the underground Cagliari tour today. Sylvia was very knowledgeable and interesting. She was full of fun stories and her English was very good. We highly recommend this tour with Sylvia .
Absolutely a wonderful tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
Tour guide was great. My teens found it very interesting which says a lot!
A unique and very interesting tour with an exceptional guide! Not to be missed when visiting Cagliari.
