Gaspare was an excellent guide. Fun trip to see the Flamingos and salt beds with some history of Cagliari along the way..
Excellent adventure on a segueway with Ivo as my guide. Segueway was easy to manoeuvre after instruction. Loved going past the local marina first past the yachts, then to the salt pans to see the flamingos. Was great to be outdoors and Ivo is an interesting and excellent guide. Thoroughly recommended!
Luka was very informative and helpful. You start from city centre and go all the way to molentargius. Guide even brought binoculars to watch flamingos. Very fun couple of hours.
I love a good Segway tour and this definitely qualified. Luca was a great instructor, as there were a couple of newbies with us. The only thing keeping this tour from a 5 star is the flamingos, they were too far away to really get a good picture. The rest of the tour and views were amazing. I recommend bringing some water and eating before your tour.
Luca was superb. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and funny. He kept us safe and had fun it was a joy. 😊 😃
This was my first time using a Segway and, lucky me, I was the only one on this particular tour so I had individual tuition from the expert who kept me safe and got me back in one piece! 🤣 The tour was fun and informative, a great way to see the flamingos, the salt mines and the harbour. I’d thoroughly recommend it!
Hardly any flamingoes, despite assurances they were there 'all year round'. Guide suggested we zoom to see them better and was slightly offensive regarding age, nationality and competence with the segway. Using a segway for the first time should be fun for everybody. It's a great business for Ivo, he prefers payment in cash and organising via whatsapp.. The online description generated an expectation which wasn't matched by the experience; it is not worth the price.
We Made a very nice trip with Luca, who first learned us to drive the segway and then gave lots of information about the Island, Cagliari and the port, and finally the flamingo’s. Is was a superb experience!!
We had an amacing trip with an attentive guide. We were beginners and a bit wobbly at the beginning, but after a while with tender, care and love we got it! Highly recomended!!! 🤩😍
Amazing time with Luca who was very patient until ensuring we were ready to ride the segways. His general knowledge is fabulous and obviously passionate about Sardinia which was fabulous. Great time and saw plenty of beautiful flamingos as well as the port area and surrounding places. Amazing.
We had a great time on the Segway. Our guide was very patient while we got the hang of it. We toured the port and Flamingo breeding grounds. I would definitely recommend it.
Cruising along the Marina, viewing the boats and going along the boardwalk. Out Tour guide Luca was very knowledgeable about the city and the Flamingo Nature Reserve.
Very exciting tour starting from the city Cagliari, getting the Segways explained and driving via coast to the salt lakes.
We made the bike tour. it was really nice, we had a great tour guide who gave us a lot of information about cagliari, the flamingos and the salt lakes. a coffee was also included.
Our guide was superb: he was attentive, very well informed and had a great sense of humour! The 2.5 hr went by in a flash. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a personalised flamingo sightseeing tour
Excellent experience. The children aged 10,12 and 14 lived it as did the adults. Started in the city centre and then out along a route via the docks and out into the wetlands. Saw lots of flamingoes including some baby ones. Our guide gave us lots of information on the way, stopping off at various points, and it was very interesting. Would definitely recommend.
My family and I really enjoyed our Segway tour. The staff were friendly and informative and the route was beautiful. We enjoyed a drink in a cafe before we headed back to the city
We were spoilt by Andreas who took us to see the flamingoes. We were carefully trained and helped round the city as we left and then mostly travelled on cycle paths alongside the marina and then canal into the ex-sea salt harvesting area/now bird sanctuary. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting and knew where to stop to show us the best bits. Taking photos, answering questions and taking us for a drink on the return journey (part of the standard tour) - Nothing was too much trouble and we would highly recommend. Great way to see the flamingoes and see Cagliari and the ex-sea salt industry in what is now a bird sanctuary. My teenager loved it.
Great tour to see flamingos, lucky to see them with the very hot weather. Lydia was a good guide, helping us get a good look and information on the area.
We had an excellent time during our tour of the Molentargius Park. Ivo was a terrific Guide and shared a great deal of interesting facts with us. Ivo, thanks for the great tour and greetings from the Flamingo Girls
After landing in Cagliari aiport in the morning, this was an incredibly fun way to get our first taste of Sardinia in the afternoon - why would you choose to use your legs when you can race around on a segway? Our guide Lydia was funny, informative and considerate. She shared some really fascinating stories about Cagliari's history and gave us our first sip of the lovely Sardinian beer. We enjoyed some breath-taking views of the coast and loved the nature reserve. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, thank you!
This is a must-do tour. What a brilliant way to see the city and to spot lots of flamingos. Our guide, Lydia, was knowledgeable and patient, as well as fluent in English. We enjoyed an inclusive beer near the end of the tour.
A great tour led by Ivo who spoke perfect English. We had lots of fun and he was very patient with the more nervous members of group. If you are nervous be the first to practise as it will give you a little longer! A definite must do in Cagliari
We booked this tour for 2 reasons. First, we wanted to try a Segway. Secondly, we wanted to guarantee seeing flamingos (well, my wife did). We arrived and were the only two booked on the Monday morning tour. After a 5 minute training session on how to use the segway (yes, it's that easy to pick up) we were off with our guide who was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We saw a lot that you'd find difficult to see on foot during a short stay because of the distance you cover, approx 13km. The tour lasted 3hrs and included a short break for a coffee (included) overlooking the sea. This tour was probably the highlight of our trip to Cagliari.
Do not miss this tour. Such fun, no traffic. Great guide. Easy instruction, easy and fun to ride. going again.
Had a great 3 hour day trip with Newway. We came in on a cruise ship, and they were at the port selling trips for a very reasonable €58 per person for three hours. Segway is a fantastic way to see a town and they are incredibly easy to ride. If you can ride a bike, you can ride a Segway. We had to walk to their office from the port, which was about 10 minutes walk away, but we were given clear directions and had no problems finding the location. Once their, we were provided with helmets and given instruction for those who had never ridden before. It really is easy for both young and old, and you’ll be scooting about before you know it. Then, it was off for the tour, which took in the town frontage, harbour, salt plants and canals and beaches. We saw the local flamingoes, and our guide told us about local history as well. Once we reached the beaches, we had a pit stop at a local cafe, where refreshments were provided, and it was a welcome break, as being on a Segway for a while does, bizarrely, make your legs ache! Then it was back the way we came to the local office. An excellent way to spend a morning, and something everyone should try at least once. Many thanks to the staff at Newway for your professionalism and friendliness too. It’s always nice to be well looked after, and we will certainly have another trip with you if we visit again.
We selected the Flamingos tour because my wife wanted to see the flamingos but thanks to our very friendly guide Andrea we got several info about the city and Sardinia’s history too. We rode around 20kms with the segways, had a small break with coffe and bevarages included in the price. We also saw the beautiful flamingos in several places. I can definitely recommend this tour. Even if you never rode a segway you can go as there is a small tutorial at the begining so you quickly get the hang of it.
Really amazing experience! I'm very happy for trying segway with the flamingos tour. Special thanks to Lida - nice local guide who speaks also russian and english. I will be back for sure.
My boyfriend surprised me with a Flamingo segway tour on my birthday! It was fantastic. We saw so much wildlife! I think even the Tour guide was amazed. She was super friendly (I am so sorry i forgot your name!) And took loads of photos for us along the way. It was a fantastic way to spend a few hours - also learning about all the salt mines and some history of the city! You'll get the hang of a segway in no time!
We have just enjoyed two Segway tours with out guide Ivo. He was amazing, very knowledgeable and found the best places to stop to take photos. Out first tour was around the town. With a full 2.5 hrs we went up, down and around the old and new town. The best way to see it as there is a lot to see and quite hilly so this is the quick and easy way and by far the most enjoyable. Was a. It nervous at first as we have never been in a Segway but we had tuition before hand and was confident in no time at all. It was so good we went out again the next day to see the Flamingos and the beach along with the port. So my fun. Would recommend definitely.
Wonderful way to see town. First time on a Segway for everyone on our tour. We all loved it and the tour to see the flamingos was fun. We will say it is hard in the legs, but worth it.
Couple with adult daughter. We did the flamingo Segway tour. Thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a 3 hour tour, including some training. Rode through the port and then onto the salt lagoons to see some flamingos. Can recommend.
Great time riding on the New Way Segway tour. We went for the Flamingo tour and it was really great fun. Good instructions are given and you feel confident before you leave the port-side that you can handle the Segway. It is pretty flat, some great scenary and great to have the commentary in your ear. Thanks.
Great! We had a wonderful time with our guide Gaspare. Gaspare speaks French very well and has made every effort to make our experience exceptional. He knew how to pass on his love of Sardinia and nature. His explanations are clear, effective, and his attention to us has been continuous. Regarding the Segway, Gaspare was more than perfect: He did not hesitate to help an elderly member who had great difficulty finding his balance. His help was permanent all the way which allowed us to make this excursion in peace and safety. We warmly Gaspare for his professionalism and generosity. We double the rating of this magnificent experience! Thank you Gaspare
Very friendly guidance from Guide Roberto, who took the time to update us on the history of this handsome island during the tour. Also took enough time to teach us how to master the Segways, much focus also on safety. The flamingos are indicated as the highlight of the tour, but the number we could spot was somewhat disappointing (about 15). But hey, you can't control nature... But the experience was sometimes worth it.
Very nice, a visit neither too long nor too short. The guide was great. A very good time and beautiful landscapes discovered. Easy to handle for the segway and very secure!
A very nice and entertaining experience. The highlight, of course, were the flamingos. We can recommend the tour
Respecting distance is something worth seeing. How a group of flamingos has stayed has inhabited an area between beaches in southern Sardinia. They are very protected and for animal lovers it is worth it.
Great experience! Very nice and prepared guide. A different way to visit the city and park
The best thing you can do at 36 degrees. The tour mainly goes along the water and there the temperatures on the morning tour are bearable. Our,very nice companion Lydia explained the history of the town and the salt extraction wonderfully and we enjoyed the tour very much. Of course, we have also seen many flamingos. Also good for Segway beginners to cope with, as it mainly leads via bike paths. My 16-year-old granddaughter and I would do it again at any time. Thank you Lydia.
I heard that they organized segway tours in Cagliari and so I booked. First experience the Flamingos segway tour and the next day with a 30% discount I tried the new 3 hours ride to the lighthouse of Sant'Elia. The view of the coast from the lighthouse is breathtaking, plus you see the city from another perspective. Great tour!
We did a beautiful segway tour in the salt pans area, passing through the territory of flamingos. The guide was very prepared, friendly, helpful and always very careful that there was no danger. Tour absolutely recommended!
On the last day of our holiday in Sardinia, we took part in an approximately 3-hour Segway tour to the Flamingos on the outskirts of Cagliari. As part of the online registration process, we were informed of the time when we should be at the branch in the centre of Cagliari. Once there we were first instructed in the Segways and received a small "driving lesson" where we had to practice getting up and down, turning, braking and parking. It turned out that we should be lucky enough to only do the tour in threes with our very nice female guide. We drove out of the center to the port, continued to the flamingos, which were in a large park and finally to the city beach of Cagliari, where we could take a short break together and refresh ourselves with ice cream or drinks included in the price. During the ride we were provided with all sorts of interesting information both by our guide and by headsets. In addition, the driving pleasure was not neglected and we could really accelerate on quiet bike and park paths. Since we were back in the center a little earlier than expected, our guide took us for an extra lap through the old town. It was really an all-round successful trip, which was the crowning conclusion of a great holiday. Even as a beginner you felt safe on the Segway after just a few minutes and could just enjoy the tour.!
We did 3 hours in segway, nice experience and nice places. Definitely to be repeated, even trying alternative routes. Thank you!
