Cagliari Segway Tour

Our guide, Juan, was fantastic. So patient and friendly. He shared a lot of knowledge about the city and since we were the only two on the trip so we saw a few extra beautiful side streets in Cagliari. We’ve are two adult women in our late 50’s and it is definitely a fun way to see a city with many steep hills. The jealous looks of those walking the inclines make it more fun. Ha!

This is such a great and fun way to explore Cagliari. The old town is very hilly so the Segway is perfect and going both up and down hill is easy and comfortable. Our tour guide was Juan and it was just two of us on the tour. Juan was so friendly and knowledgeable about the town, history, culture etc.. but in a way that made it interesting for my teenage son. The little training session made us feel confident and safe. It was a very hot day but the streets are shaded and the breeze as you ride along very welcome. We stopped at some great viewpoints and for a drink. Excellent trip with a brilliant guide who spoke English fluently. Highly recommend.

I cruised into the Cagliari port on 10/9 and had booked this tour independently beforehand. The meeting point is about a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. This was my first time on a segway, and the guide took his time ensuring I was comfortable before we headed out. Even once we went out into the city he kept checking in to make sure I was okay. We stopped by great sites around the city for pictures, and stopped for a moment to have coffee. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Book the tour!!! It was alot of fun.

A great way to see the local environment. It was only the two of us on the tour but it still went ahead and we had plenty of time to see the area and taken to plenty of places we returned to to see in more detail. Even had time for a coffee stop. After a suggestion from the guide we extended the tour to visit the flamingoes and the lighthouse! A great time!

Excellent Segway tour: our tour guide called Mario was absolutely amazing and his knowledge of Cagliari was exceptional: I would highly recommend the experience, we saw so many sites that would have not been possible on foot

What a fantastic way to see the city. Gaspar (tour guide) was amazing. The rest of my family are seasoned segway users whereas I'd only done it once before in a very quiet town. As I'm coming up nearly 70 I was a little nervous. Gaspar was amazing. In the busy parts of the city he pulled me along and guided me around. This made my tour stress free and gave me the freedom to look around. I felt in very safe hands. *Gaspar's mum* please let him take you around the city on a segway. It's an amazing experience and your son is the safest hands! * You have a wonderful son.

Tour operator placed us on a later time slot without letting us know. Then claimed had has contacted us. No evidence of such communication. Unreliable tour operator.

I always enjoy a Segway tour when I get to a new city. I have an opportunity usually to see and hear about the main sites and decide where to go back to in the days ahead. This Segway tour provided that overview and I enjoyed it. My only (very small issue) was stopping for something to drink along the way. The tour is only about 90 minutes and none of us needed a coke for 15 min. I would rather have seen another part of the City - but you follow your leader so we were told to stop…..it would have been better had we been asked. Other than that it was a lovely tour and I would recommend it.

I had tour with Roberto. It happened that I was the only one for 10.15 booking. It didn't make Roberto rush the tour, opposite he took the time and conducted the tour with enthusiasm and super attention to health and safety (really appreciate it).The tour itself was informative, interesting, fun and saved a lot of walking on all the hills 😀

First time in the city of Cagliari managed to find the meeting point really easily. Met our tour guide he was called Gaspare who gave us our first ever training session on the Segway he was totally amazing really patient and extremely informative and we managed to get the hang of it pretty fast. “We were off” on route riding through the city on our first Segway tour and what a tour. Gaspare was very attentive, informative and had a great sense of humour. We learnt so much about Sardinia’s past and present. During our stops at specific, churches and city gates, he would take photographs of us just so we could remember everything that we’ve seen. Partway through the tour we stopped off for drinks where he proceeded to explain the flag that we’ve seen all over the city which was extremely interesting. If you are debating whether this is for you, I would definitely wholeheartedly say yes I was very apprehensive initially I’m over 60 and wondered whether I would be able to partake but with the expert instruction literally within five minutes we were zipping all over the city with Gaspare as your Guide, you can’t go wrong.

Segway tour was great! Gaspar , our guide , was kind, patient and informative . The sites of Cagliari were stunning . Recommend !

Ivo provided a great tour of the city. Highly recommended. A great cover view and local history with a good combination of stopping for photos and exploring.

A great teacher and a fabulously diligent guide. Very interesting and very helpful.y first sedgeway experience and it will not be my last. I'm 68 and not so great at keeping myself still on a sedgeway. But the guide was famtastic

Ivo was our tour guide who was brilliant. We really had a great time. He brought us to loads of places. Segways are a great way to see a City close up quickly. We recommend this Tour company and remember to ask for Ivo.

Very fun and covered a lot of sites and history! Ivo the guide was exceptional! Lots of laughs along the way! HIGHLY recommend if you are on a cruise that has Cagliari as a port and not a fan of cruise excursions. This covers a lot of ground in a little amount of time! You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Segway tour! Ivo was friendly and funny and really good at helping beginners. Definitely book the two hour tour as one hour is too short! It takes a few minutes to get used to but after that is is great fun. Lovely views from the top of the Castello and cool to learn about the history of Cagliari. HIGHLY recommend!

What great fun had by all! Ivo , our guide was very patient to several of us as we worked out how to mount a Segway. Once on it was fantastic, working our way through a hilly city at leisure. He was very knowledgeable and great fun (if a little straight with us). We were a group of 6 chaps in our 50's who enjoyed every minute of this tour!

Fabulous way to see the city. We did it on our first day to get our bearings and see the highlights so we knew what areas to revisit over our 5 night stay. It was great fun and easy after they gave us all a lesson before we took off. Lidia was a great guide, thanks Lidia. Highly recommend

We were four 70 somethings from Florida. Never been on Segways before. It was fantastic!! We all enjoyed it thoroughly!! Lidia, our guide was just as charming as can be. Very knowledgeable of the area and the history. We found it a most pleasurable way to see the sites of. Cagliari, Sardinia!!! Highly recommend this tour!!!!

The Segway tour of Cagliari was so much fun! Luca was a fantastic guide; so friendly and very knowledgeable. We were able to cover a lot of ground and see some great views. A lot of bang for your buck!

We like to do a Segway tour on the first day or so for orientation purposes. The first tour we did was private to the four of us (and Luca) - and it was exactly what we wanted. Good job! We did a follow up tour with Ivo to see the Flamingo's that was really appreciated too He could also offer another longer range tour that unfortunately we couldn't make. Only reason for not being a 5 was that the helmets were a bit tired - Offering a hair net type covering would have been all that was required.

Great and fun way to explore Cagliari! The guide made sure that everyone was comfortable riding the Segway and gave important safety advice. Overall, a fun way to explore, while making stops along the way for photo opportunities!

We have done a couple of Segway tours in other countries and seeing the availability in Caligari wanted to take a tour there. Newwaysardinia was called and a booking made. We took a long 3 hr tour which was amazing having had a 15 minute refresher training we covered more than 20 Km. The running commentary given was very good and ensured safety with the guide. That tour was so enjoyed that a further tour of the old city was booked. It is very hilly and my 73 year old legs would not pound those hills to the top but on a Segway no problem. We were able to got to the top of the Castle and around many small streets with no effort. Luca was our guide for this trip and gave us a comprehensive commentary on the various historic places. His linguistic abilities made conversation very easy and really interesting. I cannot recommend the Segway tours enough.

We had an amazing experience with NewWaySardinia segway ride. My husband, my kids and I have tried it first time and we were a bit nervous in the beginning. But Luca, our trainer and guide has been amazing. He was very patient and has given us a great training and confidence for us to try the ride. This has been an excellent experience and we would definitely recommend Luca and the NewWaySardinia to anyone, who is looking for adventure, fun and sightseeing. Thanks Luca.

This was amazing. Especially if you don't want to climb hills by foot, but also not be cooped up in a bus or car all the way up as well. Our tour guide Ivo was entertaining and informative. Time was spent in the beginning making sure everyone was comfortable on the Segways.

Thanks Ivo for a fantastic tour of Cagliari by segway! Such a great way to see this beautiful and interesting city. Ivo was relaxed, good company and very knowledgeable. He took his time easing us into riding the segway but we quickly got the hang of it. My husband and I had a super afternoon. Would highly recommend the tour.

The best way to see Cagliari. Our guide Evo was a good teacher (specially if its your 1st time on a segway) and knowledgeable about the city. You get stop off at several locations to take in some amazing vistas and see the stunning cathedral.

Excellent way to see a lot of sights in a very big, hot city. Our guide was very patient with us teaching the Segway technique and kept a constant eye on us throughout the tour.

This was a great way to see and learn about Cagliari! The Segways were fun to use. Lydia was a super guide - both helpful in explaining how to use the Segway and also her Cagliari knowledge. Definitely recommend this tour. Will now be looking for Segway tours in other cities in future instead of bus tours!

My husband was terrified when I told him what I had booked. He is 6ft 3 and a big fella so felt he would not be good and was ready to back out. My kids (ages 12 and 17) were super keen and eager and so wanted him to join us. Against his better judgement he did and within a minute (after we laughed at him wobbling) he had got to grips with it and we had a fantastic 2.5 hours led by Lydia. I would highly recommend this tour. Its informative and fun and we all had a great time and will do again when we do our next city break. Thanks Lydia

Fabulous experience for our family of 4, ages 12, 17 and 2 adults. Saw more than we had on foot and much more informative. Take water as we thought drink meant you were provided with one but you actually stop at the end for a drink.

Met Ivo outside his shop - very good briefing on how to use segway(we had done before but good to get refresher) - taken on a great tour of Cagliari and glad we did by Segway as so hilly - Ivo is hugely knowledgeable and really friendly - great places to stop and take photos and learn about the history - all tourists should help him as much as possible as due to Coronavirus he has a lot less tours to arrange but it was great fun - Ivo - next time in UK in Cheam let me know!!

Segway is probably the best way to discover Cagliari (such a nice place btw) if you only have a few hours and you don't like to climb hills...very easy to drive! Ivo is a nice guy, always smiling :)

Fantastic way to tour the city, much better than walking and very easy to learn. We are in our mid fifties and my wife was a bit apprehensive about using a segway for the first time but Ivo was a very good teacher and after only a short tutorial, we were both very much enjoying using the Segway. We would not have been able to see so much of the old town or go all the way up to the Cathedral on foot so very happy we chose this tour. Five stars
