Great 3D2N trek with the amazing trekking guide Me! Although it was my first time trekking, she made it very easy for me and accommodated all my needs and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend her. Thanks Me and Trekking Tour Sapa!

Itinerary
Day 1
1
The tour starts at 9 am. Our local guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa Town or in front of the local main church. After a brief introduction, you will be taken 2km down to Cat Cat’s road, a well-known village of the Hmong minority. From there, you will be reaching the hanging bridge of the Muong Hoa river and then continue uphill into the mountains and through a bamboo forest. You will then head down to Y Linh Ho village and have lunch at a small, traditional restaurant ran by a local Hmong family.
After the break, you will make it to Ta Van, a village of the famous Giay minority, where your local host family will welcome you. You will then have some time to rest, take a hot shower, and get ready for your dinner – if you want, you will also have the chance to take part in an informal cooking class!
Day 2
2
Enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea and discover your homestay’s surrounding area and the nearby rice fields. After breakfast, you will be retaken uphill into the mountain till the waterfalls of Giang Ta Chai. You will then enter the Red Dao area where, together with your local guide, you will learn more in detail about their culture and daily life. After a short visit at a Red Dao family, you will then head back to the waterfalls by taking an alternative trail and across a second hanging bridge. You will then have your lunch in Giang Ta Chai village at a small, local restaurant run by a Hmong family. After the break, our bus will be waiting for you, and you will then head back to Sapa Town.
After the break, we will make our way to Su Pan, a community of the Black Hmong minority. And then continue walking to the Ban Ho village, where you will meet three ethnic minorities such as Red Dao, Tay, and Black Hmong. A Tay family and check-in will welcome us to their family. You will then have time to rest, take a hot shower, and wait for your dinner.
Day 3
3
After breakfast on the 3 days, we will visit the traditional houses and learn about the Tay culture then go to Nam Tong village.

Great experience. We were a group ranging from 59 to 72 years old. We found the walking was challenging enough to give you a satisfying sense of achievement, but not so challenging that it was unpleasant. That is from the perspective of some who was reasonably fit, but not as fit as they should of been The scenery was spectacular and made the walking worth it. The cultural experiences of seeing the various tribes going about their daily business, interacting with, and seeing the beautiful traditional outfits was the cream on top. The home stays we stayed in exceeded expectation. They were simple, but clean, the ones we stayed in had hot water, and clean sit down toilets. The beds and rooms were totally adequate. The experience of eating local home cooked food with the host families and drinking the local moonshine really added value. Our guide was excellent, she had great English and being a local from the hill villages was able to give us a deep insight to the culture and customs of the villages we visited. All in a very repeatable experience.
Sang is a wonderful Tour Guide. She told us a lot the Hmong culture and also about her family. Exactly what we hoped to get.
I've fallen in love with this trekking! Everything was organised perfectly from the beggining to the end. Very fast contact with the office by email and helpful staff. Amazing tourguide SoSo from local minority. She's cute and helps in everything as you need. Highly recommend!
Wonderful, authentic 3 day experience in rural villages an mountains surrounding Sapa. Booking process was simple and clear. Our guide, Ly, communicated clearly and explained lots of aspects of culture, ethnicity and daily life in the villages. Whenever weather conditions allowed, Ly led us on small tracks through farms and forests to get a real perspective on the terrain and isolation of the mountain gardens. Breathtaking views everywhere. Homestay hosts were gracious and prepared wonderful meals of homegrown ingredients mainly on wood fires. Beds and bathrooms simple but clean. We will remember this trip for a lifetime!
Just back from an amazing 3 day hike from Sa Pa with Trekking Tour Sapa. We’re a family of five (kids aged 12-16) and opted for the longer distances as we have quite a bit of trekking experience. Our guide, Soso, was so fantastic! She was extremely friendly. Her English was excellent and she was very knowledgeable about everything, from flora and fauna to culture and traditions. She knew every path, and often gave us options of routes to choose. The homestays were also brilliant - all of the home comforts of a comfortable bed, a hot shower & more food than we could eat at every meal. We can’t imagine that there is a better guide than Soso! The views were breathtaking at every turn. Such a fantastic experience - we would highly recommend ❤️
We loved learning about plants, animals and cultures while looking ad amazing views. Homestays were cosy and had everything needed. I absolutely recommend
Mae was a very friendly - and good English speaking - guide. She gave us a lot of information. She even took us to her home and made us a lunch. We met several people, had a good time
It was a great experience with our tourguide May! She showed us the beautiful rice fields and small villages. She cares about us and helped us on a difficult or slippery track. The homestays were also awesome and the family were very friendly. We made fried springrolls ourselves. Really Nice to do. An experience we will never forget. Thank you!
Our 3 day 2 nights trek with Trekking Tour Sapa was truly unforgettable. Thanks to our wonderful guide, Ten, we had the unique opportunity to connect deeply with the local customs and culture, and to better understand the lives of the local tribes. Each homestay along the way welcomed us with warmth and kindness, making us feel right at home. The food throughout the journey was absolutely delicious, and every encounter added something special to our experience, memories we’ll cherish for a long time. A heartfelt thank you to Ten, whose kindness, knowledge, and patience made everything so smooth and meaningful. And a special mention to the real superstar of the trek Sofia, Ten’s daughter and trainee guide who impressed us with her bright spirit and natural talent. Thank you both for such a beautiful experience. We hope to see you again soon, ladies!
Awesome experience with a very nice guide. Trek is quite long and difficult so be aware but very feasable for the average person. Homestays are very nice.
It was an amazing tour. Our tour guide Dom did a great job and always adjusted the difficulty depending on how we were feeling. The group was great as well. The homestays were both nice and clean and the first homestay was very new. Our guide Dom always knew the weather better than any App and she told us a lot about the local culture an people. Would definitely go on a tour with this company again.
We had an absolutely unforgettable 3-day trek in Sapa with Sush, our incredible Hmong guide. From the moment we met her, she made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Her knowledge of the area, her culture, and the surrounding villages added so much depth to the experience. Sush guided us through breathtaking landscapes, introduced us to local customs, and shared stories from her life that made the trip feel deeply meaningful. She was always attentive to our pace and needs, and her sense of humor and warmth made every moment special. We can’t recommend this experience enough – it was one of the highlights of our entire trip through Vietnam. Thank you, Sush, for everything!
We had an AMAZING time with Ly!! She was so incredibly sweet and informative. She guided us through different villages, rice fields, waterfalls, and answered our many many questions. In advance of our booking the company was extremely responsive and even allowed us to pushback our reservation by a day. Both nights of the Homestay were fantastic, and the beds were super comfy in our first stay. The saw some other groups along the way who mentioned going through very busy areas with lots of ladies selling things and following people… that was not the case for us. We saw a handful of them but were not at all bothered. Heads up - as of March 22 there was a significant amount of smoke(?) in the air. It was still gorgeous and I’d still recommend doing the trek. However if you can, avoid if there is rain or if it just previously rained a day or two before as it can be extremely slick if wet. Thank you again Ly!!!!
This trip was amazing, I really liked it. We walk through the beautiful mountains and rise fields and were sleeping in very comfortable and clean homestays with lovely families. You will meet other people at the trek, but it did not feel too touristy at all.
Amazing place with incredible landscape! The highlight of Vietnam. I would recommend it and do ask for the guide Mei. She is the best!
We did 3 days 1 night trekking through the villages, staying in homestays, with our guide Mai who was amazing, so nice, explained so many things of her culture for us, and welcomed us to her world. We even got to help out with the spring rolls. We were lucky with the weather, and the rest was just great. The views, the people, the homestays, the food… would definetely recommend!
We hiked with Zhu for 3 days with 2 nights at local families. It was a fantastic trip, where Zhu was a perfect guide who speaks good English. She was nice, helped us with everything and knew a lot about the area. We can only recommend others to use Trekking Tour Sapa and especially to use Zhu as a guide.
"Tong" pronounced Tom (not sure how to spell!) was wonderful, welcoming and knowledgeable. Her English is great and she knew the local area very well. Ensuring our group didn't fall over in the mud. Unfortunately we didn't have much luck with the weather but still go to see some rice paddy views and villages. I can only imagine what it is like when it is sunny!! Homestays were comfortable and food very yummy! Definitely small groups as its off season so got my own room both nights. I would like to come back and do it in may or later!
Outstanding experience Soso was a perfect guide with flawless English. Highly recommend. Great trekking and Homestay experience
We decided to do the 3D2N trekking tour and enjoyed every bit of it. Even though the weather wasn‘t on our side our tour guide Mey made the best out of it. She taught us a lot about the Hamong culture and even a little about the other minorities living in this area. The homestays were great to. I would definitely recommend this company and doing this kind oft trip to really emerge into the culture and life here. Special thanks again to tour amazing tour guide Mey!
Me and a friend decided to visit. We had no idea that Lunar New Year was occurring at the time. Instead of closing down the tours they took us on the most insane 3 day trip of all time. Showing us around their homes, inviting us inside, drinking and partying for new year. We discovered a lot about the culture with our amazing guide Sang, who answered as many questions as we asked. Day two consisted of assisting in the New Year preparations by slaughtering a pig and a duck, which was eye opening experiences for me and my friend. I’d recommend this to anyone willing to learn about the Hmong people. Very cool.
Really enjoyed the entire experience. Learned a lot about the culture even tho the rice field was not in season the views were breathtaking. Thank you
I went on 3d/2n trekking with the amazing Soso as a guide. She's a wonderful and knowledgeable guide that speaks great English. We were never in a rush and had time to enjoy, talk and learn about the local places and traditions. More then a wonderful guide she was someone that I really enjoy the company for this 3 days. Thank you so very much Soso!! Even though the weather was not great the experience was still amazing and I definitely recommend it. The home stays are very comfortable and welcoming, the owners and their families are lovely and the food is amaaaaazing. Hugo Sousa
We had a great experience with our guide, Hau So. The experience was tailored so that we couldn’t up to see the top of Fansipan the first day. Note that even taking the cable car to the top, there is still quite a bit of additional steps/hiking to get to the peak. The second half of the first day was spent hiking to our first homestay. Note that the hiking does involve a lot of elevation which was challenging on the knees. Pack as light as possible. For the best experience, be open minded and willing to learn about the communities that you will be trekking through. Ask lots of questions. The people in the community are very kind.
If you want to see the beautiful Sapa villages area with a local guide, this is the best way to go. Our guide So took us from Sapa town to see Fansipan and then walked us to the local villages to see the bamboo forest, rice paddies and to stay at home stays - comfortable bed and breakfasts hosted by village families. Our hikes were 10 miles each day, stopping at picturesque lunches on the way. Highly recommended when in Vietnam!
We are so grateful to do this trekking with Mama Tung. She take care of us, explains everything, answers all the questions. Trekking was amazing!
Had a great time exploring the sunny valley and mountains close to Sapa. Our guide Soso showed us the rice harvest, explained her peoples customs and was very knowledgeable about the local flora. Cozy homestays, lots of good food and views for years!
Just completed the 3d2n trekking under the professional guidance of Me. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, delicious food and great homestays. Good mix of nature / hiking and insights in local culture. Our guide - Me - really went the extra mile to show us the life of the local people and provided all the information (in great English) to make this an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend!
Great experience! Sai was the tour guide and she was really helpful and kind. The homestay we slept was nice and the food too! We recommend this tour!
We had an amazing time trekking in the rice fields of sapa. Our guide So leaded us through hidden paths in the mountains and told us about the local culture. The homestays were nice and the host families were really friendly.
We had a great time trekking through the Sapa Villages. Our guide, So, was informative, kind and very eager to teach us about the local culture. We could not recommend doing a tour with him, or the company, more! Thank you, So!
We had a fantastic time trekking through Sapa with our guide Ly. She is an amazing guide and helped us through the difficult parts of the trek. We learnt a lot about the local culture, her life and the people. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it.
Exceptional 3 day trek with Tong around Sa Pa and its surrounding villages. It was a real pleasure to be integrated with her family and tribes people with trying on their clothing, learning some of their cultural ways and being embraced with only joy and happiness. The homestay’s were also so neat and tidy, showers were excellent and food was delicious and abundant (definitely none of us were hungry at any point!). I would highly recommend anyone to do this trip and if you are to select the more challenging walk, be ready to be ascending and descending a lot.
Highly recommend this tour company. We did the 3D 2N Sapa Valley Trek and homestay experience. We were the only ones who booked so ended up getting a private tour, though we met plenty of travellers on the way! Our guide, Xu, was amazing. She was a wealth of knowledge and taught us about the day to day life of the local villagers. She was so kind and patient and always gave us options to go the easy or harder way. I did not bring a hat and she kindly went to her sisters village and borrowed one fof me. We saw amazing rice fields, rivers, mountains, waterfalls, animals (cow, buffalo, chicken, ducks), met many locals (and their children) and the homestays and meals were above our expectations. The weather was amazing for rainy season, though im sure Xu would have thought of alternate routes for us if it did rain. The actual tour company had excellent communication, highly organized, and helped us book trains to and from. They had many tips for us. We were able to shower at the office after our trek and before a long ride back to Hanoi. Overall very pleased with our once in a life time experience.
We were lucky enough to have Zhu as our guide. She is very patient and very kind, knowing the area very well (although we chose the less frequented one). her explanations of local life and traditions were a delight. The evenings spent with local people were a real immersion into the heart of their families (a small dedication to Mary Kay, who, at 5 years old, brightened up our evening). The scenery is fantastic, and despite the bad weather on the last day, it didn't dampen our spirits or our enjoyment of the walk between Laos and China. The little shower on the way back to Sapa was welcome and absolutely necessary. Finally, beware: this 3-day/2-night trip is pretty sporty, as it goes up and down.
We had an amazing time on this trek. We felt like we got a really good taste of local life by walking through different villages, rice fields, bamboo forests, staying and eating with local families at homestays and watching them prepare and cook delicious food on a bamboo fire. Our guide Xay was really knowledgeable and we learnt so many things from her. The weather wasn’t the best during our trek but it didn’t take away from our wonderful experience and when the clouds did lift, it made the views even more special. Definitely recommend!
We just completed this amazing 3D 2N Trek and home stay in and around Sapa. Our guide Dong, was so friendly, knowledgable and accomodating, always providing options for easier or harder pathways along the trek and proudly sharing the customs and history of her her own and other ethnic minorities from the villages we passed through. The home stay accommodation and meals were great. The trekking itself is challenging at times, but so worth the effort to get away from the general tourist path and venture through bamboo forests, crossing streams and balancing across muddy rice field terraces, not to mention so many animal encounters including water buffalo, sooo many chickens and even a herd of goats! Some tips: wear trekking shoes with good grip, bring a poncho, definitely wear sunscreen and insect repellant, buy extra water at lunch and over night, and bring little snacks for later at night as you end up in your room quite early after dinner.
Did the trek with Ly as guide. She was really good in explaining the different cultures that live in harmony across the mountains close to Sapa. We did almost 40km in the three days and I was able to taste different foods and enjoy the landscape. Ly was also super helpful with logistics! Super recommend the tour with Ly!
Nice trekking tour with funny and local guide. Food and homestays were quite nice, as well. First day we hiked through bamboo forests. The other two through rice fields.
The tour was amazing! We would not have been able to navigate our own way without the local guides. They took us off the road and through the rice fields and mountains. Ly and Pang were absolutely the best!! They were our guides and they have very big hearts and were so helpful the entire time. We felt safe and very grateful for there help in exploring this beautiful region of Vietnam.
Amazing trekking tour! The landscape and views are amazing. You get to see local villages and get a taste of it at the Homestay. We had So as our guide and she was so good! She knew so much about the farming, villages and tradition. Furthermore her English was so good even though she didn’t learned it at school - impressive!!! Tour 5⭐️🤘
My tour guide, Me, was phenomenal! Couldn’t have asked for more. I booked a group tour but ended up being the only booking so did it solo and Me was great company. Really informative, kept a good speed. She is truly an amazing guide, she is an asset to the company.
Really amazing experience. The views are gorgeous, the homestays are very comfortable, and my guide So So really made the trip incredible. I think this trip was the most at peace I’ve felt during my time in Vietnam. So So is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable guides in Sa Pa. She has been doing this for over 25 years and her English is very very good. She answered so many questions for me about the Hmong culture, her life growing up, and the customs and traditions from her village. The views are incredible of course, but I think the rich cultural insight you get from this trip is what really makes it special.
Very Nice trekking route and the guides are so sweet, the homestay’s are so nice and cozy, and the owners are just amazing. Such a nice tour where you really get to see the real vietnam
We had a great time on our 3 day 2 night trek. We were with a group of 5-6 and our tour guide Xu who was very friendly and informative. We originally booked for 2 days and decided to extended our stay. The home stays were very nice and family dinner was always a joy. Some days were misty but we still had a great time. 100% recommend.
We had a fantastic trip. The tour company booked our travel from Hanoi to Sapa. We arranged our own hostel night before. Our guide Domg picked us up from the hostel in the morning. We dropped our luggage at the tours office for the 3 days and set off. Through the trip our guide was extremely attentive. She spoke great English sharing with us all the facts of the local area including the people and the history of Sapa and the surrounding villages we went through. The first nights home stay the beds were comfortable, the food was very good. The second night the beds weren’t as comfortable but the food was again very good. We walked around 35km over the 3 days. Due to the time of year we went it was foggy and the views weren’t as good as if we had gone another time of year but we still got to see the scenery. Overall it was an unforgettable experience make extremely special by the our very special guide Domg
We had the most amazing trek!! Thong was the best guide ever, she is so funny with the best laugh and the sweetest woman. We laughed so much, learned a lot and even with some misty days it was a great time!!! Thank you!!
This tour is phenomenal and well worth doing if you are in Sapa. It gives you the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views you are constantly surrounded by whilst also immersing yourself in the local culture. The home-stays far exceeded our expectations and the hosts are so welcoming. What made the tour was our guide, Tom, who went out of her way to ensure we were having a great time. She answered all of our questions and gave us a fascinating insight into the lives of the local people. Incredible!
I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough! If you want to fully immerse yourself into the North Vietnamese culture then this would be perfect. Led by Tom, our extremely helpful and friendly tour guide, we trekked through some of the most beautiful routes around Sapa, stopping off in small villages, where we were able to learn about the culture and traditions of the different ethnic groups. The homestays were some of the nicest places we’ve stayed on our whole trip, and it was a highlight sitting with the families and enjoying the local cuisine. If you’re visiting Vietnam, this tour should be a must, you won’t find a better value for money trip, which is all thanks to Tom, who went above and beyond to make the trip so memorable!
