The name "Cat Cat" was given by the French who discovered the beauty of this place in the early 20th century and chose it as a vacation spot for high-ranking officials. The French named the village after a beautiful waterfall in the area, CatScat. Perched at the foot of Hoang Lien Son Mountain, Cat Cat Village is protected by nature's embrace. Green fields and hills cover the entire village, and small houses are scattered throughout. Together, they create a colorful and romantic painting of nature.
The village is famous for its absolutely poetic and wild beauty. along with many terraced fields and streams, and the primitive, simple bamboo houses of local people, Y Linh Ho Village is one of must-visit attractions in Sapa and definitely worth your time to discover.
Lao Chai Village is situated about 7 km to the southeast of Sapa town’s center. It likes peacefully in a deep valley named Muong Hoa while embraced by marvelous ranges of Hoang Lien Son Mountain.
Ta Van village is actually a small community with hospitable, amiable and friendly people living together at peace. They scatter at the foot the of the mountain, the valleys or along the streams. They live on growing rice and producing instruments as well as engraved silver.

Ghenh was our favorite tour guide! She did such an amazing job explaining her village and the others in sapa and was a great driver!
My guide was super nice and give me lot of interesting facts about the villages!
I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants fabulous views of the fields and cat cat village. The guide was super friendly and helpful - a good way to spend half the day
Was an amazing experience. Our guides was so friendly and professional, very capable riders we felt safe in their hands the whole time. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Achert for an amazing and unforgettable experience x
La was really good in driving and very fluent in English. She even took pictures and videos of me during the travel. Really recommended
My husband and I booked this tour for the half day and chose the option of having a scooter to drive ourselves. My husband rode the scooter with me on the back and our tour guide Sisi took us around the local villages. Sisi was very knowledgeable as she is a local and took us through to her village. The scenery along the way was beautiful and she offered to take photos of us along the way. Highly recommend
This was a great experience with a great guide. We are not big tour people so the half day was perfect for us. Sissy was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Very skilled riders, we felt very safe the whole time. Would highly recommend if you're looking for an enjoyable way to see parts of Sapa and aren't wanting to hike!
Incredible half day going through the rice fields and villages around sapa. Our guide Zer was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions about the Hmong and was so enthusiastic to share with us. We like to take pictures so sometimes we take our time but we never felt rushed and he even suggested spots for us to take great pictures. The roads were rough but we felt very safe with our easy riders. The scenery was beautiful and the people were so kind. 10/10 recommend this tour.
This was a very fun motorbike tour. I was the only one on the tour with the guide. We began with ride from Sapa Stone Church down to Cat Cat Village. Afterward, it was followed by several other villages nearby and down in the valley. Along the way, the scenery was amazing, the weather was good for riding and sightseeing, and the guide did a great job in introducing the villages, including her own. Overall, a must do in Sapa. Some of the roads are quite challenging with rough unpaved surfaces, narrow paths, and steep hills. But without the expert guide leading the way, it was something I would’ve never dare to do on my own.
It was a was a really fun trip. The scenery was beautiful. And it was clear that our drivers knew how to drive in the mountains. We felt very safe. Our guide Su told us a lot about the culture in the villages and the rice fields. It was all truly fascinating to learn so much about it. He also took great care of us in the cat cat village. We’ve had a lot of fun conversations together and he is amazing at taking your pictures. Thanks again for taking care of us so well and for giving us such an interesting and fun trip!!
A great way to see the countryside and villages around Sapa. Fantastic guides and we felt very safe!
The whole experience was beautiful, it was truely a perfect day !
Great experience with Mo, it was a really fun way to know about Sa Pa and the neighbouring villages, my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time, learned a lot about the local culture and way of living.
Wonderful experience with Sisi, she speak well English and ride well! We enjoyed it very much, almost forgot the time=) fantastic rice fields and mountains view. Best your ever. Highly recommend.!
Nice scenery but foggy. Cat Cat Village is a must visit place. You can buy handicraft from the stall alongside the road. Fun and easy way to explore villages.
This was absolutely the highlight of our trip (and maybe of all time). The views are incredible and being on a motorbike with a guide was just so incredible. Highly recommend!!
We were not sure what to expect; our drivers Sisi and Lo were fantastic and quickly made us feel at ease. They were very easy going and professional; and expert scooter drivers! We visited various landmarks including the touristy Cat Cat village. However Sisi brought it all to life by relating the various aspects to her own village life. A very well put together tour.
It was a lovely trip. Mr Hu the motorbike driver was very pleasant and helpful and taught me a great deal about the villages, and about SaPa and the cultures of the area. Very interesting. Also he was a great driver over the bumpy roads and tracks. It was a wonderful outing.
The guides were excellent and we saw a couple of villages that allowed us to get closer to the Vietnamese lifestyle and culture. Driving through the countryside allow us to see the rice fields and terraces close up. The guide did a great job explaining the culture and traditions and activities of day to day life.
The best experience we had on our travels It was truly wonderful and would recommend it to anyone The guys helped us so much and were very safe and brilliant riders
I only had a short amount of time to visit Sa Pa, so I booked this trip hoping to enjoy the majestic scenery. I did it, it was amazing. I encourage you to take this trip. It was amazing.
My tour guide is a careful driver. She is an ethnic minority here, her traditional costume is beautiful. She took me to the bridge made of rudimentary wood that people here used a long time ago, then crept into the villages in the valley. The trip was meaningful.
My tour guide is Ginh, she is very knowledgeable about this locality as well as a careful driver. I asked her to stop at some spots that I found beautiful, she was very happy with that. After the trip she took me to the office for a herbal foot soak, the staff here is also very nice.
I had a wonderful time with limited time in Sa Pa, I can not trekking much so I choose this tour for sight seeing terraces paddy rice field and villages. So amazing trip!!!!
Really enjoyed this tour with a knowledgeable guide and tea break after finish the tour so amazing. 100% recommend. Sight seeing on terrace rice field, villages,...
The girl who drove me was 21 and very nice. She was driving cautiously. BUT SHE IS A EASY DRIVER, rather than a tour. For 1/3 of the price of tour, you can hire the easy driver on the town square… motorbike easy drivers are everywhere. I thought, this will be a tour where the tribal culture will be explained. The girl is subcontracted by Nina, she takes 3/4 of this, but the girl was nice easy driver, not a tour guide. English was minimum.
I loved this!!! Riding motorbike down tiny paths thru tiny villages, seeing so much of sa pa and being able to stop for photos and other surprises (buffalo, small kids, rickety bridges) for pics !!
We were picked up at the hotel by our guides who were two sisters: Dihn and Su. They couldn't be more charming and friendly. They made stops whenever we wanted to take pictures and they were always smiling. They showed us more hidden corners and always very willing. It is a highly recommended excursion and you have enough time to see it quietly and well
Excellent way to see strategic points of Sapa and see the rice terraces. Unfortunately it was not good weather but the tour super well organized even gave us ponchos. We were driven by motorcycle in all safety. I didn't want to walk and this tour was perfect for me
Very good experience! Giang and his partner were very good drivers. She explained everything in detail, speaks very good English and was super friendly.
My guide was very friendly and attentive. He met me at the hotel at the agreed time and took me and explained everything about each place we went. Highly recommended as you visit many places in a short time thanks to the bike.
An unforgettable experience when going to Sapa, I was lucky to rent this homestay. My trip lasted 2 days and 1 night. When entering this homestay, the first thing I felt was a warm and airy space.
Very delicious hot pot, variety of fresh vegetables, reasonable prices, enthusiastic and friendly staff. I went with my family and felt very good
In the limited time, I had a wonderful time in Sapa. Since I couldn't hike for a long time, I chose this sightseeing tour to enjoy the terraced rice fields and villages. This trip made me deeply appreciate the beauty and tranquility of Sapa. Walking in the terraced fields and admiring the golden rice fields swaying in the breeze, it was like being in a painting. And the simple folk customs and ancient buildings in the village also made me feel the cultural heritage here.
