We had the most incredible experience not only were the views amazing the food was delicious the communities we walked through were incredible but our guide su was so friendly and knowledgeable she really made the day I really can’t say enough good things about her or the experience definitely some rough terrain at certain parts it had been raining which made it even more challenging so I would be weary if you aren’t a strong walker but for the most part it was paved walking through neighbourhoods thanks again su

We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed our tour with our guide Soso. She is very friendly, easy going but most importantly always asked what we wanted and/or preference. She had passion of the culture and very easy to communicate. Good history lessons of the area and local communities. Excellent hike through the rice paddy fields and towns. Highly recommend.
Amazing guide June was super funny and her English was great, we had such a great time walking with her
We went on a hike with a local guide Stong and she was amazing. She took us on the natural path (not the easy way) and it was so much fun. We walked up and down through the rice fields, local homes and had beautiful vistas. She told us about the land, people and culture and was very helpful and kind. I was having some trouble with my knee, but she helped me in all the harder places. I highly recommend this adventure and hope you get Stong as your guide.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, our guide Soso was excellent, on top of showing us around she told us many stories about the local history. Lunch was delicious and lots of it. Please remember to bring cash as it is important to support the local crafts people.
Made the most of my one full day in Sapa, it’s muddy and slippery so wear sturdy shoes you don’t care for. My tour guide was very kind, highly recommend for a more intimate authentic tour
My wife and I had so much fun doing this walking tour. We couldn’t recommend it enough, We’d do it again any day. If you want to get off the beaten path and get a glimpse into rural life in the villages around Sapa then this tour does just that!
We have a very good hikingtour. Very nice views and the guide Zhu was very helpfull. We have a great time together Thanks Zhu
Had a good experience walking with the guide I had called Mei, got to see plenty of wildlife and see the cave, bamboo forest and plenty of farms. The lunch was enjoyable too. Looking forward to join again in the future
This tour was great. As expected, waking trough the rice and other crops fields, astonishing views, contact with the locals, seeing their farm animals such as pigs and water buffalo, a wonderful lunch in a very y local restaurant with great views, the bamboo forest. This was feasible thanks to the guide, a very nice and knowledgeable local woman that answered all questions including their history and culture.
We only had 2 days in Sapa so wanted to experience as much as possible on the trek we chose. We loved this one, particularly our wonderful guide Xu (pronounced “Sue”). She met us at our hotel, gave us bottles of water, and the walk started from there. We trekked through a couple of small villages, through rice fields and farms, a bamboo forest, had a great lunch in one of the villages and learned so much about local life from her. Xu really made it special - she was so knowledgeable, warm, funny and the perfect guide. We were lucky to have her to ourselves. Trainers are most definitely required, hiking shoes would be even better. The pace is easy, but some of the terrain is not.
It was a really nice trip in the mountains, the landscape is amazing, and the way was pretty funny, among the rice fields, the forst, the buffalos and the local villages !
Amazing trekking in the valley and among the rice fields. Our guide, Don, introduced us to the ways the village people go about producing their textile and the many plants they used for it.
We hiked with our guide,Sang, a local woman who, with her never ending positive energy can tell everything about the villages and the surroundings in very good English. The landscape is really beautiful and the tour was great!
The trek was fantastic. Say was a fantastic guide, very relaxed and knowledgeable. At first the title "easy" of the tour didn't seem appealing, but it was great because we got to learn from other areas of Sapa and we learned a lot about the traditional people from the villages, the way they live and work. The scenery was also amazing.
Photos and words can’t express what a great experience this was! The views were breathtaking even in the fog and rain. We were so lucky to have Soso as our guide, she was amazing, had great English and her information on the history of the villages and Sapa was extremely insightful. This was a great tour with delicious, filling lunch included. We went through villages and farming areas that weren’t overpacked with tourists so we were very lucky. The walk wasn’t overly tough but there was a lot of mixed terrain, rocks, small paths and mud - be very careful if it is wet! If you are going to go during the wet season be prepared to get wet. Definitely be mindful of footwear choice, bring an umbrella, waterproof shoes or easy to clean shoes and/or maybe a poncho. Thanks again to Soso for making this an unforgettable and lovely day
May took us through the villages and tribes of Sapa. Stopping for lunch up in the hills for quite a feast. Landscape was breathtaking as were the hills!
Pang was our incredible guide. We heard the very best stories and information about her life as a Hmong ethnic minority woman. The scenery was as spectacular as her! We loved it all. Be aware though this is a full day tour and not an "easy" stroll.
Great trekking along the rice fields and several villages where different tribes live. Our local guide (Xay) had lots of information about the people, how they live and the area here. Fun to see the animals, know more about the rice and other agriculture/crops and how traditional clothing is made. Lunch that was included was very good! This was the easy trekking, which more applies to the types of roads/paths you walk on. In total it was still about 13kms, so something to keep in mind (the first part walking through Sapa town wasn't necessarily needed for the experience of this day in our opinion).
Soh was our guide and he is very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned quite a bit about local culture and life from him. The route we took through the farmlands was stunning. The lunch was delicious and fresh with a fantastic view. We ate rice with stir fried veggies and meat, fresh stir fried veggies and tofu braised with tomato. Two thumbs up
It was an amazing experience and well off the beaten track with stunning views. The walk was just strenuous enough to make it enjoyable and our guide So was brilliant, lots of knowledge and very personable and his English was very good. . Our lunch was gorgeous in a very scenic restaurant. Thank you So for a day we will always remember.
Let me begin by saying I am 61 years of age and trekking is the least of my interests. But, how can one come to Sapa and not trek? Because it was Tet, Chinese New Year, no one else signed up so it ended up being a private adventure. Sang, my guide, picked me up at my hotel and we were on our way. Sang was very patient, caring and guided me the entire journey. We walked at my speed and pace. Sang is not only a tour guide but a farmer herself and represents of one of Sapa's ethnic groups. I learned so much about the culture, visited 2 villages, and ate with the locals. It was truly a wonderful experience.
Amazing experience with views of the Fansipan mountain, the cable car station and Rice fields. Lost our passports somewhere along the way, but our guide, May helped us get it back from the police.
Sapa gets quite foggy during the winter, so I wasn’t able to enjoy a clear view of the rice fields. Unfortunately, that’s just how it is during the season, so I didn’t mind too much. My tour guide, May, was fantastic. Since it was the slow season, I was the only one in the group, but we had great conversations. She explained Hmong culture and village life clearly and took excellent care of me, ensuring I didn’t slip and guiding me on the right paths. I was impressed by her decent English, especially considering she never attended school and learned the language through conversations with tourists at work. She’s clearly very smart. One area for improvement would be the choice of route. I’d recommend selecting Muong Hoa village instead of the Cha Pa area, as there isn’t much to see near Cha Pa. In Muong Hoa, you can watch an elder lady sewing traditional clothing and enjoy a more expansive view of the rice fields, perfect for wide-angle photos.
The trek was really good despite the slight drizzle and mist. Sang was a great guide, providing lots of info on the way of life for the Hmong and other people groups. Most of the route was on paved paths (flat or with slight incline) but due to the rain, those were a bit muddy. One small section was more challenging and slippery due to the wet weather. The views were worth the efforts, and lunch was delicious too.
My, the tour guide, was wonderful! She was so kind, well-spoken and informative. I learned soo much about local cultures, both the Hmong culture (where My is from) and other cultural groups in the region. The tour was interesting, easy walking, scenic views, and a delicious local lunch. It was run punctually and it felt like a good pace the whole way. I really enjoyed it and especially learning so much from My!
We had a private tour through rice fields. We really enjoyed our trek. Our guide Say took us through nice fields that would we never find if we would be without guide. She also explained to us way of life in the villages.
One of the best tours I have ever taken! I had May as my guide and she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The trek is amazingly and the views are incredible at every turn. You don’t trek at a fast pace but at times going uphill it’s challenging. Wear hiking boots as at times it’s muddy and slippery and you need good footwear. The guides will help you though when you need it. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Sapa’s rice fields. The lunch was great too!
The "Sapa Easy Trekking Tour" is a great way to experience Sapa's beauty and culture. Our guide, Zhu, was fantastic! She shared insightful knowledge about the region's nature and traditions. The ~11km trek is manageable, mostly on paved roads with some scenic paths. Highlights include rice terraces, local villages, and a bamboo forest. A few slightly challenging downhill sections add some excitement. The tour ends in Ta Phin village, with a taxi ride back to Sapa. Highly recommended for a moderate trek with cultural immersion!
We had the joy to have Me as our guide for two days. The first day she took us sightseeing Love waterfall en Silver waterfall. The second day Me took us hiking up Cat Cat and back. We saw beautiful scenery. She speaks good English en is funny. She has good knowledge and informed us very wel about the locals and the customs. We had a pleasant day en advice this trip as a must do.
My friend and I did a private trekking tour with Me. We had an amazing time! The views were spectacular and the trek was not too difficult. That being said, there were some difficult bits where it was a bit slippery but Me was very patient with us and helped us safely cross. Definitely recommend!
The four of us (with 2 children aged 15 and 20) did the one-day trekking tour (13 kilometres). It was a unique experience. Because of the landscape, the people we met along the way, but especially because the best guide in Sapa led us. So comes from the Sapa area and told us a lot about the area, the history and the culture along the way. Thank you So, you made our day unforgettable.
We had a wonderfull tour. Our guide Pan was very good. She was very nice and knowledgeable. She fitted the trip to our needs.
Superb experience. Walking was straightforward as mostly on tarmac and small unmade roads, although you do need to concentrate on where you are placing your feet! Beautiful views up and down the valley through several busy villages. Plenty of opportunities to buy local crafts and to watch how they are made along with details of the crops being grown and how they are planted, harvested and prepared. We were able to go inside a traditional home and had a simple but delicious lunch in a local cafe. This is a must do as although you could do independently it is great to go with a local guide who is very knowledgeable and happy to explain her culture and those of other villages. Sang our guide was wonderful, thank you for a wonderful few hours.
We had a great day! The highlight of out Vietnam trip so far. Our guide Me was fantastic!! Very friendly and told us all about the surroundings.
Amazing experience and a privilege to see the local tribes in their villages. Xi was so knowledgeable and told us so much about their cultures and traditions. Stunning scenery, so many animals. Lunch was great too, simple but super tasty. Don’t leave Sapa without doing something like this. In terms of ‘easy’ it was 21,000 steps in total, some rocky/slippery parts but we had plenty of help from the nimble local tribes women who joined us. Take cash to buy products and drinks.
Tzu was an excellent guide, we had an unforgettable experience trekking through the rice paddies, villages and farm land. She catered to our every need, nothing was too much of a hassle. She was also extremely knowledgeable and educated us about the culture and practises of the Hmong and Red Dao peoples. Shout out also to Fen who was a great assistant, and taught me many Vietnamese phrases throughout the day. If you are looking for a trek in the Sapa area, I would highly recommend Tzu as a guide. You will not be disappointed
Tung gave us the best experience in Sapa!!!! She took us through rice paddies, local villages and corn fields! Best and most beautiful experience in Vietnam! Thank you!!!
We really enjoyed this tour. It was not too tough a hike, it was just right for us. The scenery is amazing but the most interesting part was passing through the different ethnic villages & seeing their different way of life. Our guide Xay, who is Hmong, was so lovely & told us lots about life in the villages & the different ethnic groups & their customs. This was one of the most interesting tours we’ve done in Vietnam. We would highly recommend this tour & Xay as a guide.
Absolutely amazing experience. Sang is a great person and a fantastic guide. She had so much to share on Hmong and other minorities cultures and she was super friendly and a very good English speaker. We absolutely enjoyed our time with her and the tour was tailored to our specific needs. Would definitely recommend!
Chu was an amazing guide and we really loved the trek. It wasn’t too hard at all and we got to see the valleys around Sa Pa, away from all the touristy gimmicks. Chu was very knowledgable and lovely, we would 100% recommend this hike to anyone else! We barely saw any other trekkers on the path and the views were amazing!
We have had 1.5 days of wonderfull tours with our Host Tongh. We have been walking through the rise-fields and through some local villages. The area is very nice, we have been walking in end-April and than the rise-fields are planted. Next day we visited the waterfall’s Love Waterfall & Silver Waterfall
Great walk and scenery. My guide, called "Me", was an extremely nice person and spoke really well english. Great experience, I recommend!
We really enjoyed this trek, our guide was so lovely and informative with really good English. She met us in our hotel and gave us water bottles, the first half of the day was our favourite, we got to walk off the beaten path a bit past many local's rural homes with their animals, past rice paddies and other crops, crossed rivers, and had amazing views. We didn't see anyone else except a few local village ladies walking the other direction. Lunch was delicious and we had great views there too, then the second half of the trip was more walking along the road through local villages. At the end a taxi picks you up and drops you back to your hotel. Note that Sapa plant their rice paddies a lot later than other places in Vietnam so they will still be empty in March and early April.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trek with Ku and friends. Ku was so helpful, friendly and knowledgable and we were also assisted by some Hmong ladies who helped along the way, adding to the immersive experience. Aside from the exceptionally scenic route, we learned so much about the Hmong culture and people. The experience was priceless and I have no hesitation in recommending Trekking tour SaPa. I would love to go back and attempt a longer trek sometime in the future. This really was the highlight of our recent trip to South East Asia. Thank you so much, Trekking Tour SaPa! 😄
The Trekking was amazing. The conditions and the weather was perfect. My guide „Me“ picked me up from my hotel and then we started our hike. I was very lucky to have Me as my guide. Because she lives in a local village, she could tell me so many things about her culture and the nature. Me was very professional and took care of me. Her English is also good, so we had no issues with communication. If you book a trekking, I would recommend Me as a guide!
Great day out exploring the landscape, villages and culture. Easy walking but muddy. Saw lots of animals and learnt a lot about the Hmong people’s
The views were amazing! dinh were very knowledgeable & helpful, overall would really recommend anyone who would want to explore Sapa’s nature through friendly trekking.
Ly, our local guide was very attentive and looked out for my safety during the entire trip because I wore the wrong shoe which caused me to slip several times. She held on to me and made sure I was alright throughout. When my hiking stick broke, she found me a bamboo stick in replacement and it served me well during the entire hike. Ly has good knowledge of Sapa, she was friendly, helpful and would go the extra mile for us. What struck me about Ly was how sincere, genuine and lovely a lesson she is. 100% recommended.
