Our guides name was Nhu. We found Nhu to be very kind and knowledgeable. The homestay was far better than we expected, with a room all to ourselves. The views were absolutely amazing on the first day, very misty on the second day but we still got to see two waterfalls and enjoy the bamboo forest. Would highly recommend this guided trek. We learned so much from Nhu.

Day 1
1
Your adventure begins in Sapa town, heading towards the spectacular mountain landscapes of the O Quy Ho Pass. As you leave the busy town behind, the scenery gradually changes to rolling hills, lush tea plantations, local farms, and towering mountains stretching across the Northwest highlands. Along the route, you will discover the natural beauty of one of northern Vietnam’s most impressive mountain roads. The winding route offers ever-changing views of the Hoang Lien Son range, with dramatic peaks, deep valleys, and clouds drifting across the mountains on clear and misty days. There will be opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints, take photographs, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding countryside. More than just a ride through the mountains, this experience allows you to appreciate the landscapes and rural charm that make Sapa such a special destination.
Visit Love Waterfall, a beautiful natural attraction hidden within Hoang Lien National Park. Starting from Tram Ton, the national park station, you will follow a scenic forest trail of approximately 2 km, passing through lush vegetation and walking alongside the peaceful Golden Stream. As you venture deeper into the forest, you will be greeted by the impressive sight of Love Waterfall cascading down amid the pristine mountain scenery. Take time to relax, enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds singing, and admire the surrounding forests. At the foot of the waterfall, you may also have the opportunity to dip your feet or take a refreshing swim in the natural pool, depending on water conditions and safety. This experience offers a perfect chance to escape the busy town and enjoy the untouched beauty of Sapa’s mountains.
Next, hop back on your motorbike and head to the iconic Lonely Tree (Heaven’s Gate), a scenic viewpoint offering spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Here, you can take memorable photos while admiring the vast green forests, rolling mountains, and cardamom plantations cultivated by local communities. On a clear day, the panoramic views are truly breathtaking, making this a perfect stop to appreciate the natural beauty of Sapa and capture some unforgettable moments along the way.
Ride through the magnificent Muong Hoa Valley, where winding mountain roads reveal spectacular landscapes and traditional villages nestled among the hills. Along the way, you will pass through local communities and discover the daily lives of ethnic minority groups who have preserved their unique traditions for generations. Arrive at Lao Chai Village, home to the Black Hmong people, where you can admire the surrounding terraced fields, explore the village, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of rural Sapa. You will also stop here to enjoy a delicious local lunch before continuing your journey through the valley.
Continue to Ta Van Village, a peaceful settlement nestled in the heart of Muong Hoa Valley. Take time to wander along the village paths, admire the traditional local homes, and discover the unique culture and daily life of the Giay community. In the evening, check in at a local homestay and enjoy a home-cooked dinner with your host family. This is a wonderful opportunity to taste traditional local dishes, share moments with your hosts, and experience the warmth and hospitality of life in a mountain village. Spend the night at the homestay, surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of the countryside, and enjoy an authentic cultural experience away from the busy town center.
Day 2
2
Wake up to a peaceful morning in Ta Van Village, where the fresh mountain air and beautiful countryside create the perfect start to your day. Enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the tranquil views of the surrounding rice terraces and mountains. At around 8:00 AM, have breakfast at the homestay before saying goodbye to your host family and continuing your adventure.
Leaving Ta Van behind, your journey continues deeper into the peaceful countryside of Sapa, following scenic mountain roads and trails towards Ban Ho Village. Along the way, you will pass through remote hamlets, lush forests, and green valleys, enjoying a different perspective of the region’s diverse landscapes and traditional village life. As you descend into the lower valley, the scenery gradually changes, with warmer weather, winding streams, and scattered houses nestled among the mountains. Ban Ho is home to the Tay ethnic community and offers a glimpse into a quieter, more traditional way of life. This journey is perfect for travelers who want to explore beyond the popular tourist routes and discover the authentic beauty of Sapa’s remote villages.
From Ban Ho, your journey continues to Nam Cang, a remote village surrounded by towering mountains, lush forests, and beautiful terraced rice fields. This peaceful destination offers a chance to escape the usual tourist routes and discover a more authentic side of Sapa. During your visit, you will meet members of the Red Dao community and have the opportunity to learn about their traditional homes, distinctive clothing, and unique cultural heritage. As you explore the village and its surroundings, you will also admire some of Sapa’s most impressive terraced landscapes, stretching across the mountainsides and creating spectacular views, especially during the rice-growing season. This experience offers a wonderful combination of cultural discovery, local encounters, and the natural beauty of the northern highlands.
After exploring Nam Cang, continue your adventure along scenic mountain roads, passing through remote villages, lush valleys, and mountain slopes that reveal the untouched beauty of Sapa’s countryside. Along the way, you will encounter local communities and enjoy ever-changing views of the surrounding landscapes, offering plenty of opportunities to stop and appreciate the peaceful atmosphere. Your journey will then take you to Su Pan Village, where you can take a break and enjoy a delicious local lunch. Surrounded by mountains and traditional village scenery, this is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and experience the simple charm of rural life before continuing your adventure.
After lunch in Su Pan Village, continue your journey back to Sapa through the scenic landscapes of Muong Hoa Valley. Enjoy the final views of the terraced hillsides, winding mountain roads, and traditional villages nestled among the mountains. Along the way, take in the fresh mountain air and the peaceful beauty of the Northwest highlands before arriving back in Sapa town at approximately 3:00 PM, bringing your two-day Sapa loop adventure to a memorable end.

The Sapa tour was an incredible experience, but what truly made it exceptional was our guide, Nhu. From the moment we met her, she was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and traditions of the region.
An experience not to be missed. We visited amazing spots thanks to our guide Nhu. I highly recommend asking for her, as she was a fantastic guide — always helpful in front our needs, kind and fun. "
One of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had in Sapa. The guide was incredibly friendly, kind, and always available. Her name is Nhu. I recommend asking for her.
I would like to thank Nhu for this incredible adventure in the mountains. This was a perfect trek and the homestay was fantastic. The food is delicious and you can’t dream of a better hike in the sapa region. Thank you so much for the experience!!!
I had the chance to go on an unforgettable trek in Vietnam, guided by an absolutely amazing woman (Nhu). From day one, she was warm, attentive, and passionate about her region. Thanks to her, I discovered breathtaking landscapes, authentic villages, and truly experienced the local culture. She perfectly adapted the route to our pace, while generously sharing her knowledge and love for the country. Always smiling and kind, she played a big part in making this experience unique and meaningful. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching adventure in Vietnam!
We had an incredible two-day trip in Northern Vietnam with Nhu. She’s not only professional, but also warm, friendly, and passionate. Thanks to her, we discovered beautiful places off the beaten track and learned a lot about the local culture. Always attentive, smiling, and caring, she truly made a difference in our journey. We felt both safe and free to fully enjoy the experience. Thank you, Nhu, for your kindness and great energy! We wholeheartedly recommend your services 🫶🏼🌾⛰️🍜🥢
The view of this trip was amazing. We trekked up to the mountain and village, and stayed overnight at a Hmong homestay with very nice rooms and friendly owners. Our guide was very kind, and we learned many things on this trip.
The 2-day, 1-night trekking trip was truly an amazing and meaningful experience. We had the chance to explore beautiful trails winding through the mountains, valleys, and local villages. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. One of the highlights of the journey was resting at a H'Mong homestay, which was a memorable experience. We shared a delicious meal and enjoyed a bowl of rice wine together, which was a delightful part of the trip. Our guide, Keyni, was not only professional but also deeply knowledgeable about the local culture. He shared many fascinating stories with us about life in this area, including legends and the role of shamans in the region. His storytelling made us appreciate and respect the unique cultural values of the place even more. This trip was not only an opportunity to explore nature but also a chance to learn about the people and history of this wonderful land.
Our Sapa trekking trip with our guide Phenh was absolutely wonderful. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely recommend. My teen daughter and myself did a 2 day, 1 night trek with Phenh. We were really sad when our time finished and we had to say goodbye to her. Phenh was so informative and taught us so much about her Hmong life and culture. We left feeling enriched and grateful to her. Phenh was patient and calm and went above and beyond in her gentle manner to help us in many ways. She is a mother of 4 young children and just seemed to know the sort of things we wanted to know about her culture. She often paused as we walking thru villages and forests and explained things so us, which was exactly the kind of experience we wanted. We have already recommended her to another traveller we met today. Thank you Phenh. Our time with you was a highlight of our time in Vietnam. Our homestay was also fabulous. Super comfortable bed. Delicious local food. And the most stunningly beautiful views!
My family have a great trek in Sapa with Keyni, he is very nice and knowledgeable. He guided us through beautiful landscapes, sharing stories about the local culture and nature. We had an unforgettable experience and felt very welcomed.
One of the best trekking companies in Sapa, we spent a few days exploring stunning landscapes and local culture. Each day, we trekked through lush rice terraces and visited vibrant villages, connecting with friendly locals. Evenings were filled with stories and delicious traditional dishes, making our experience truly memorable
We had 2 days 1 night trekking experience in Sapa, the scenery was amazing. Our guide Sinh was very helpful and knowledgeable, sharing with us a lot of local culture and history. Highly recommended
Toa is the perfect guide and host, very personable and delivers a great experience. We hiked about 10km through the paddy fields and the clouds, together with a local homestead lunch and visit to an authentic (rather than tourist) village. A genuine experience carefully tailored to not only match but exceed our expectations. I would and have thoroughly recommend this wonderfully fun and professional guide.
We did a 2 day 1 night trek with a homestay in Sapa. The trek was manageable, not too tough with some muddy portions. Toa was an amazing guide who made the experience enjoyable and pleasant. We had some nice exchange on sharing our cultures during the trek as he openly shares his experiences and the traditions in vietnam, sapa. Highly recommend if you’d like a guide who’s willing to share and make the trek enjoyable!
We had the most amazing time in Sapa, walking and cycling around the most stunning rice fields, visiting the local people and learned about their culture. Our guide named “Toa”, was such a kind guy, who could tell so many stories about their culture, the people and about so much more. We really enjoyed this trip and would highly recommend anyone else to go on the same tour - you wont regret it!
Out of all the travel I’ve done in my life (42 countries), this was the most memorable and touching experience of my life. Toa is the most gracious, and kind guide. He genuinely cares about your experience and does his best to deliver. The community loves him, and It’s apparent by his interactions with them. I’ll be back very soon. And I hope one day with my children 🙏 Thank you Toa for who you are and what you helped me experience.
We had the best experience going with a local guide Toa on a two-day trekking and staying at Topas Ecolodge. Toa knows everything about nature, culture in tribal villages and Vietnam and also his self-taught English is very good. Deep respect for this guy. We found this trekking in the Lonely Planet, much better and non-touristy than the trekkings offered in Sapa town. If you like off-the-beaten track and being in nature with someone who knows everything about it, this is the trekking you should book. No regrets, only good memories!
My family had such a good time with Keyni to mountain, rice fields and a bamboo forest. Keyni was very informative about all the different tribes and what mountain life is like for the locals, he English was perfect. Our Homestay was great and clean and the food was good...I would definitely recommend this trek.
This is my second time to visit Sapa, i didn't have a chance to trek last time so i chose this trekking trip with Sapa Local Trekking on website. It must be said that Sapa is a city that is extremely worth living and experiencing, the natural scenery is truly majestic because there is no pollution, our trip lasted 2D1N so we rested overnight at a Hmong homestay in the village, we experience their lives in a very realistic way. In particular, Bau our guide is really good and knowledgeable about local culture, always sharing with us interesting things about this place, trekking through mountains, terraced fields, bamboo forests and villages is truly a perfect experience, highly recommend
The 2d1n experience was wonderful. Keyni is the best guide you can get. he speaks English very well, shares many interesting information about local culture, takes us on a beautiful trip... in the late afternoon we arrive at the homestay of a very gentle family. The second day the scenery and trekking were more beautiful. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hike with Keyni! Best guide ever!
we had a 2d1n trekking trip in Sapa, the trip starts from Sapa and goes up Dragon Jaw mountain through green corn fields. The scenery was breathtaking as we could see the entire Sapa town and Muong Hoa valley from above, We stayed overnight at a homestayr, Sinh our guide and the homestay host were so friendly, the people here are really friendly, especially when we had dinner at the homestay, so that helped us understand more deeply about the culture and lifestyle of the people here. Really highly recommend this trip
We had the chance to make this trek with Nhu who quickly realized that we were trying to avoid other groups of tourists and that we were also very sporty, so she adapted the itinerary so that we could be alone as often as possible! We loved discovering its culture, history and the beautiful landscapes and villages we went through! We ate very well and the homestay where we were was perfect! Thank you Nhu, thank you Viator (thank you the dog that kept us company all day long)
The two-day trekking and homestay experience in Sapa with guide Sinh was unforgettable. On the first day we started our journey in the city of Sapa, hiking along beautiful hiking trails and arriving in a small village where we stayed with our host family. Guide Sinh was dedicated and knowledgeable, sharing insights into local culture and nature. The host family was very welcoming and prepared a delicious dinner so we could feel the warmth of the place. On the second day we explored the surrounding villages and visited a local market. When we returned to the city in the afternoon, we were satisfied with the perfect mix of trekking and cultural immersion.
