We did the “non-touristic” tour with Ly. She picked us up from the hotel on time, and we drove a bit outside of Sapa before starting a fairly demanding hike right away. In total, I think we did around 900 meters of elevation gain. She told us about fruits, customs, and the different tribes. Once we reached the top, we took a short break with lunch she prepared for us. Afterwards, we headed downhill again to some rice fields and a village of ethnic minorities. Ly is super kind and funny, and everything was very well organized.
We really enjoyed Ly our guide she took great care of us and shared her knowledge about her country Her English is great and I would love to recommend her to anyone
A great experience with a knowledgeable and friendly guide, Soso, who told us a lot about the people and the history of the area. The lunch was very good and we really enjoyed the opportunity to explore Sapa’s surroundings with a local who’s been giving these tours for the past 25 years! Highly recommend!
Soso was a great tourist guide!! We walked around Sa Pa’s waterfalls and villages; Soso was FANTASTIC and we learned a lot of things about her culture.
Our guide Mae was great! She was very patient, speaks English very well and has a lot of information about the area. We had a truly great day, I would recommend Mae to anyone.
Exceptional. Only for people with solid fitness levels and accustomed to hiking. Taken on local routes in the mountains used by the Hmong.
Truly excellent, the most stunning views, hiking through local routes not known to tourists. Our group (2 ppl) got to meet locals, learn stories about local culture me and traditions from our wonderful guide Su. Strongly recommend!
We had an amazing day with our guide Mai. We booked a group tour but got a private tour. The hike was sometimes challenging but Mai respected our pace. And every climb was worth it, with breathtaking views! We learned a lot from Mai about the local communities, farming and nature and would definitely recommend the hike!
Amazing views throughout with local guides. Our guide Mai was very knowledgeable of the cultures and region and lovely to chat to also!
We spent almost 3 days with our guide Zhu who showed us around in Sapa and some local villages. We did a few nice hikes. Zhu told us a lot about her family, and their way of living. She was very helpful and answered all our questions. When you come to Sapa, we can definitely recommend this agency and Zhu.
We had a wonderful trek with Mai, who spoke impressive self-taught English. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her as she guided us through the beautiful valleys, hills, and villages of Sapa. Mai shared a wealth of knowledge about the nature around us, including the local flora and fauna, as well as insights into her culture and her country's history. We enjoyed every moment of the experience. The lunch was delicious, and we had the opportunity to meet some lovely local people who walked part of the journey with us. Sapa is stunning, and even though we didn’t have the best weather, we were still incredibly happy with our trek. Thank you!
Me was our tour guide and she was amazing. We had such a wonderful time exploring the rice fields and all the villages! Me shared with us many details about the area and the way of life at the villages. Me was so kind and made our experience so special. We will always think of her when we reflect back on our travels to Sapa.
Thao Thi Só, our tour guide, was very helpful and informative about the villages that we walked past in. She's kind and smiling.
Had a fantastic day walking through the villages near Sa Pa! May, our local guide, led us on our walk and explained many different parts about the way of life of the ethnic groups in the area. The things we learned and saw we would never have discovered on our own and couldn’t recommend this enough. A brilliant experience and a highlight of our trip up the north of Vietnam!
The trip is amazing and Tour guide she is very helpful . We have enjoyed and do a lot of activities.we have ate the local food which is very delicious.
Really good trekking office. Lovely lady that is able to explain the different options. She gave us a great recommendation based on our preferences and the pricing is good. Also an excellent local tourguide with good understandings of the local culture. Would 100% recommend! We did the cow hill trek and this is great if you like hiking up a mountain.
My guide is Ly, done a terrific job! Very caring and give us a deep tour around the village! Highly recommend you to book this tour🥰
We did the non touristy Trekk. It was very non touristy and we didn't see anyone else the whole time. Only point to make would be that Trekking and Hiking are two different things. This was a Trekk more akin to bushwacking than a nice trail hike. Go in with that mindset and you will have a good time.
This hike was amazing. We had a really good time hiking around in total about 5 hours with a super delicious lunch break in between. Our guide was super friendly, helpful and explained us alot during the hike about the culture, flora and fauna. The hike itself was sometimes a little tough due to the heat and deep slopes, but so worth it. We saw rice terraces, bamboo forests and passed some villages. We really enjoyed the hike. I can totally recommend it. I took so many beautiful pictures during the whole hike.
Our tour guide was so friendly and everything was really good. We saw amazing things and the lunch was delicious. Would defo recommend 10/10
Zhu was a highlight and such a wonderful resource and guide. Amazing experience. Thank you Zhu for making this such a special experience for my family.
Ly is a very good tour guide. I learned a lot from the trekking, and also about their culture. The views were breathtaking! Highly recommend :)
I’d hoped to climb Mt Fansipan but it was looking very misty so I decided to change to a tour of the mountains above and around Sapa including a visit to a Hmong village. So was my guide and we were joined by a couple from Spain who would be doing a two day trek. We set off from the office in the middle of town and walked through the streets of Sapa before exiting via a small laneway directly onto a path which climbed up the hillside through low bush. We kept ascending (probably 400 mt overall) walking through corn fields and several large crops of marijuana (of the Hemp variety) until we reach a ridge line from which we had a splendid view of Sapa. All the while, So was explaining the local fauna, her family history, providing information about her village, the Hmong customs and Vietnamese life in general. Walking along the ridge we gradually entered into a large valley and from our high position could see many small villages dotted along the valley. We arrived at So’s village (900 people) and had a simple lunch before beginning our descent through a bamboo forest and many terraced rice fields. At about 4pm we arrived at a Homestay where I departed the tour leaving the couple from Spain and So. A taxi ride back to Sapa was included in the price of 875,000dong.
When weather was horrendous for 1 day Mt Fansipan hike, TTS quickly organised a wonderful walking trek through valley and H’mong villages. Guide Ly stopped more often than any other guide to explain and highlight points of interest so it was really worthwhile.
The 1 day trekking tour was the highlight of my Sapa trip. My guide, So Giang was amazing, she speaks fluent English, shared her culture and was very knowledgeable. She’s able to answer all the questions we had about Hmong culture and share their way of life. She took care of us through some slippery and muddy trails. She’s always so smiley and has great attitude. The tour took us to Y Linh Ho-Lao Chai-Ta Van. Coordination was great pre trip too and pick up was at the hotel. Lunch was included as well and was delicious. Highly recommend So!
I did the tour with Sou and she was amazing! She speaks English well, told us a lot about the culture and happily answered all our questions!
Fantastic day trekking out of Sapa. Friendly, interesting and funny guide with great local knowledge. Beautiful sites and views 🙂
100% recommend this trek. Beautiful views and away from the crowd, certainly the best way to see the valley, the villages and what the mountain / farming life is like here. Hau So was a great tour guide who was very attentive to our group. He comes from one of the local villages so was very insightful. I look forward to coming back :) Fair warning: this is not an easy hike, make sure to bring proper trekking shoes / hiking boots!
We enjoyed our experience trekking with Tung. She was a brilliant guide - very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the Black H'mong people and other local tribes. Unfortunately the weather was quite rainy and foggy on the day, but she helped us to navigate the muddy trails. We still enjoyed amazing views of the rice paddies and the bamboo forest. It was very convenient that she met us at our hotel at the beginning of the hike, and then the taxi dropped us back there at the end. I would highly recommend this tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Me (our guide)! We booked a private tour for one day and visited Cat Cat Village, Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van. Overall the trek was about 16km (according to my step counter) and was at a moderate level with some climbs but all on good pathways. Our guide, Me, spoke very good English and told us all about village life, traditions, culture and beliefs. We got to see examples of Black Hmong culture including hemp clothing being made on a loom, corn grinding, rice farming and more. Me was great at answering our questions and we loved hearing all about her life and family in Ta Van village! Lunch was included and we had a feast of delicious local food. We were lucky with the weather and had some fantastic views of the valley, mountains and rice paddies. I think the best time of year to come is June, to see the rice paddies in full bloom, but we really enjoyed the trek. Thank you Me for a great day out!
Totally overprice with bad arrangement. I was informed the night before that extra charge is need for public holiday, none of the terms mentioned about this. The company only call and arrange the guide when I arrive which I wait for 40mins for him to come. He had no idea he need to work on the day. I have not enter any village as mentioned in the description, for the whole trip mainly chat with the guide and see some normally rural area which you can see at many other places and don't need to pay so much for it. During lunch, I do expect I can try some daily farm product from the minority group, but only a normal fried rice is provided. None I have see the activity of the minority group or wintness the culture or art craft of them. Join other company tour please, Just for people who consider coming, please choice a sunny day without fog and the trek is a bit hard and slippy, wear your hiking shoes .
We had a great time doing the sapa trekking tour for 1 day. Sadly the weather wasn’t the best, still we had a great time hiking with Dinh. She was a great tour guide and cooked great food for the trip. I can only recommend the trekking tour!
We had an amazing time on this trip with guide Dinh! It’s a remote trek which requires a botvier fitness but the nature and views are stunning! You will not encounter a single tourist on this hike and it ends in a small village. Recommended!
You'd definitely want to do a tour because then you have a guide who can describe the culture in Sapa and gives you good company. May was our guide who took us around our day trip in Sapa. She is very friendly and we had great conversations with her. We took the overnight train till Lao Cai and then a public bus from there to Sapa. The views are really nice of the terraced rice fields. I'm not too fussy so I still enjoyed the off season before the harvest. You get to see a different view of the rice fields. The walk can be challenging in certain parts but rewarding. There may be some ethnic ladies who may follow you on your trek . They act as good help but will ask you to buy some local handicrafts and souvenirs in the end.
Memorable day with our guide Zhu! She speak well English and she’s very sympathetic! View and discovered were awesome!
I had the most amazing experience with our guide Pang from the Hmong community. Her passion for sharing her culture and the breathtaking sights made the day truly unforgettable. The highlight was visiting her home, where she warmly welcomed us and cooked a delicious meal. Pang's personal touch and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of authenticity to the tour. I highly recommend this one-to-one tour for a unique and enriching cultural experience. Thank you, Pang, for making our day so special!
Zeng guided us through the muddy paths, always concerned about our wellbeing. We had a lovely day, with lots of explanations about the weaving and dying, wonderfull views and a lot of very nice memories. Highly recommended!
We did the tour in end November 2023, Dinh was our guide and the tour went really well! On the way up to the mountain view spots, she stopped by certain plants and explained to us what they were used for. At the top, she also shared with us the different villages, their people and their languages. It’s quite a climb up but views were worth it. Along the way, we saw some buffalos, horses and chickens. Lunch was in a cookhouse with all the other tour groups, the meal was simple but tasty. After lunch, we started the descend down, walking along rice fields. This part got pretty slippery and tricky but Dinh was very patient and helpful. Dinh was so cheerful, kind and patient throughout the tour. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time here in Sapa during our trekking tour. Tung was very kind and showed us all the beautiful sights of Sapa and thought us about the culture here. The length of the hike was perfect and we were able to deviate from the normal route to avoid the crowd as Tung knew many alternative routes. We felt very welcome at all the places we visited during the tour. We would highly recommend this tours if you would like to experience Sapa from the perspective of the local people!
Hang Thì Dinh took us on an incredible 8 mile trek around Sa Pa. She was knowledgeable about the region, the traditions, the people and culture — we learned so much from her throughout the trek. The hike was gorgeous with stunning views of the mountains. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visit Sa Pa.
Hang Thi Dimh was the best your guide ever. We LOVED the views of sa pa and learning all about the culture and the people living here. The lunch spot was great too. We highly recommend!
I and my friend had a wonderful time with our guide, Sinh. Especially, walking through the muddy valleys of the mountain for 4 hours and looking at the epic scenery of the mountain and the village was a great experience for us physically and mentally! Also, we enjoyed the local cuisine of lunch that she provided! Recommend this tour if you visit Sapa!
Great Tour and great guide Mae! We enjoyed every minute! Nice scenery, small villages, bamboo forest and waterfalls next to the Rice fields
This was my second day trek trip with Trekking Tour Sapa - and it was just as good as my first one! The hike is a little challenging at times, especially when the sun is out, but the views and experience 100% make it so worth it. Our guide Tung was really nice, she had a lot of information to give about the area and was always there to help us when the hike got difficult. I would happily do more trips with this company if I’m back in Sapa again, definitely recommend!
Our guide for this tour is Sang! Because of her this tour was more than exceptionally great! With her cheerful and outspoken personality, the entire hike though was a bit challenging a terrain, she had made it so enjoyable! She speaks very good English and that makes such a difference! To top that she has great photography skills. Sharing in this review the pics she took for us! I would highly recommend anyone booking a tour to request for her as your guide :)
Amazing day spent among rice fields and Hmong communities! Our guide was exceptional, helpful and willing to find amazing spots for us!! Really suggested if you go to Sapa
Today we did the mountain trekking with May/Me. It was a bit cloudy so we didn't get the breathtaking views we were hoping for but May was an excellent guide. She was friendly and patient - and her English was impressive to say she is self-taught. We saw lots of water buffalo, dogs, pigs, chooks - and locals going about their everyday business. Would definitely recommend this trek - especially on a sunny day!!!
We had a great experience with the tour! She showed us a lot of special places and local routes. Would definitely recommend this tour!
We absolutely loved our day with our guide Me. We had a 5:30h long walk over local mountains which was more than enough for one day. Our trek was well balanced with a lot of great views and a personal approach. It was cool to get to know Me and her background which made the whole day a lot more informative and authentic.
