In the old days, Hmong people like Zizi hiked to Sapa market from their village. Now, this path has become a must-do trek.
You will get an excellent perspective of the major communities during this trip and through rice paddies. We'll take photos at a stunning location. The tour will also go into further detail on the communities, valleys, and mountains in the area.
You will be accompanied by a Hmong guide who will tell you more stories about the history of the village and Hmong culture.
You are welcome to join us as a family for a dinner prepared by Zizi Homestay. Your English-speaking Hmong guide will accompany you to explain the history of this road, daily life in the hamlet, and Hmong culture. The Hometrek offered stunning vistas that truly inspired our appreciation for nature. More options for breakfast would be appreciated.
Romantic and secluded. Perfect for couples wanting some quiet time together. Hometrek made our stay extra special. A private dining experience would be a wonderful addition.
Pure joy staying here! Love Hometrek! The landscapes were gorgeous, and the hosts were delightful. Breakfast could be served earlier.
I love Hometrek! Our hearts were filled with tranquility as we soaked in the natural beauty around us. The evening bonfires added a cozy touch to the ambiance. Limited availability of staff during late hours.
Hometrek tour exuded a relaxed atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. The gentle breeze and rustling leaves were incredibly soothing. Occasional noise from nearby wildlife at night.
Nestled amidst lush greenery, this homestay offered a soothing retreat for the weary soul. The traditional herbal baths were a treat for the senses. Insect presence in outdoor seating areas.
I twisted my ankle 10 mins before my trek so my guide had to help me a lot during the trip. In the end, I had to cut my trip short at the 3.5 hours mark due to the pain. My guide was nice and helped me book a bike back. am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of seasonality - there wasn’t much going on in March.
For the price of stay, they are squeezing everything they can to provide us, the breakfast are enough. The room is good enough to just rest and sleep. The home's location is a bit difficult to find
Our room was a great size, over looking the mountains, a cute balcony. Perfect to sit with a beer and look at the amazing view. It has a steep climb to reach and their trek service helped us have great experiences. Internet connectivity may be less reliable.
The view from our room was breathtaking! The staff was friendly and accommodating! The food of the local people does not seem to our taste.
Amazing home, good breakfast with a lot of choice. The view was amazing, if the clouds were gone and the room was beautiful and comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful. You should equip a heater, especially on cold days.
The staff were so friendly, always at hand to help when needed. Breakfast was nice, set us up for the day. The internet network is unstable.
Up grade the room with out charge. Big room and Friendly from the team. With hometrk, we have traverse the undulating landscapes, experiencing the distinct cultures and traditions of each village. The terrain is a bit difficult.
Room was clean and spacious. Staff was rather attentive and helpful. Thanks to the homestay trek, we have the opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes of Sapa with your friends and family, capturing the beauty of terraced fields, mountain vistas, and vibrant ethnic villages. Create lasting memories through photography. Mobile network reception for data usage may be inconsistent, impacting those relying on internet services.
Really nice home, comfy room with balcony and big bath room. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. The location is great. We continued our trek deeper into the mountains. The landscape transformed into a sea of vibrant green terraced rice fields, a sight that left me in awe. We passed through several ethnic minority villages, each offering a glimpse into their unique way of life. The walls are a bit thin so it's quite difficult for people with hearing loss to sleep.
The first surprise- a nice local lady met me at my hotel and said- we are starting our hike now.. walking through Sa Pa and then using backroads we continue and visit different villages.the highlight was - Walking around the rice terraces. And amazing views of the mountains
A nice home with spacious rooms and great terrace. The owners were very warm, funny and friendly, always trying to help. The chef made us best dinner The breakfast menu is less rich.
Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean. Basic amenities in bathrooms may require guests to bring their toiletries.
Great location overlooking the mountains. Just out of town enough so it was quiet. Host and her team were beautiful and couldn't do enough to assist you. Sapa's weather can change rapidly, and guests may find it inconvenient to adapt to sudden shifts in temperature and conditions.
Ku was an amazing guide. Her English is very good and she is a local… we observed other non Hmong guides pretend to know the culture where as Ku lives the culture.
We had an amazing stay, Lily was so welcoming and helpful! she organised us a fantastic day trek with a local guide at a great price. The accomodation is out of Sapa town but in a lovely spot with amazing views. The dinner available is very nice and great value. Public restrooms in Sapa needed some cleaning up.
Great place! Staff is super nice and helpful. The vibe of the place and views are really nice and chill. If you're vegetarian, Sapa's restaurant choices are kinda limited. I'm still appreciate them.
Staying at Hmong Sister House provides an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of Hmong culture and traditions without the need for extensive research or planning. The hosts are often eager to share their cultural insights. Some guests may find the bedding to be thinner or less comfortable than what they are accustomed to, which could affect sleep quality.
The staff was fabulous here, and I felt like I was being taken care of while there. The room was spacious & would have had a great view, but for the weather (Sapa was completely socked in when I visited). Because of the weather, I spent more time inside the room, and paid for an extra 1/2 day, because I couldn’t really do much without seeing more than a couple of feet in front of me. So I’m quite grateful for such a comfortable place to stay.
The home were great! Amazing view of Sapa, a mosquito net around the whole bed was included and greatly appreciated. There was a kettle to use in the room and the included breakfast options were great. You could also rent scooters directly through Hmong Sister House which made it easy to get around and explore. Would highly recommend staying here.
We are a family with two children (8 and 11) and the four of us absolutely loved spending time at Hmong Sister House. The owners are truly friendly and will do everything for you to have an amazing stay. We did the trekking with the kiddies and they were so patient and adaptable. We ate our breakfast, lunch and dinner in the house and all the food we ordered was so tasty! We loved every evening we spent at Hmong Sister House, we learnt so much about their culture, their games, and had so much fun! Also, the views are totally breathtaking and you can relax in the hammock, or on the swing! If you are reading this review, don’t hesitate, book your stay, you won’t be disappointed !
Loved my time at Hmong Sister House. Really warm and welcoming people in a stunning location. I extended my stay to three nights at the last minute which my hosts were very good about! If you can get up at 5/6am in a sunny day as the views across the valley are incredible, with the clearing mist and sun peaking through the mountains and gentle village noises. I would recommend having a motorbike and staying 3-4 nights if you can! On your visit you can do some trekking and visit beautiful road passes and local village markets.
We loved our few days at Hmong Sister House spending time in nature. The common areas have a good view and are nice to spend time in. The family dinner was very good (as was the rice wine that came with it) and a fun way to meet people. We took an embroidery lesson, which was fun, but it’s definitely harder than it looks. You can also book a guided tour here or you can walk around Ta Van yourself. It’s a wooden house so sound travels, but we didn’t really mind.
Sapa is renowned for its beautiful hiking and trekking opportunities. You can explore the surrounding terraced rice fields and mountains. Zizi Homestay often organizes guided treks, but you can also venture out on your own or with a local guide. The only pity is that the wifi system is not very strong.

From the very first meal, our palates embarked on a flavorful adventure. Each dish was a masterpiece, a tribute to the rich culinary heritage of Sapa. Whether it was the comforting hug of a bowl of pho or the crunchy delight of spring rolls, every bite was a revelation. Some dishes were milder than expected, but this allowed us to appreciate the subtleties of Vietnamese cuisine.

We loved our stay at Hmong Sister House. Couldn't be better. Such a nice and caring family and does everything to make you feel comfortable and speaks English very well. We stayed for 6 days/5 nights. The atmosphere at the homestay is great, the view spectacular, the meals are great and we also loved the rice wine made by het father. Everyday we rented a motor and saw a lot of the Sapa valley which is beautifully. Would definitely go back there!!!
