Wow! This food tour is amazing! Do not eat before you go!! Don't even have breakfast because you will eat so much delicious food. Mrs. Merohal was the best tour guide ever. She led us around to so many great places to eat and sample very local foods. She gave us a lot of information about the history of Liberdade and we tried so many unique and delicious foods (wait until you get dessert!). If you have a few hours to spare in Sao Paulo, you definitely want to book this tour.

Itinerary
This is where we begin, at the steps of one of the largest neo-Gothic cathedrals in the world. Our guide kicks things off here, marking the starting point for a walk through the historic center of São Paulo and into the food that shaped it
The historic center of São Paulo, home to some of the city's oldest surviving bakeries. This is where you'll find the mortadella sandwich, a working class classic brought by Italian immigrants in the late 19th century and still stacked thin and high the same way today.
Known as the largest Japanese enclave outside Japan, Liberdade has grown into a pan-Asian food destination shaped by generations of Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian immigrants. Steamed buns, Korean fried chicken, Japanese griddle cooking, and Thai desserts all sit within a few blocks of each other, alongside family-run spots that have fed the neighborhood for generations.
