Isaac was a great teacher and educated us on the history of São Paulo and Brazil .The tour was a great introduction to this city which is quite widespread and we could never have seen so much in such a short period of time without him .But it was the fruit and candy tasting which was the star of the tour .Amazing fruits we had never seen nor heard of and everything tasted great .

Highly sought after by couples looking to celebrate their wedding, the “Parish of the Saint of Brazil” is one of the most famous in São Paulo's capital. With sophisticated decor and neobaroque architecture, the church was built in 1940 and has become a landmark of the city. The location is named after Nossa Senhora do Brasil ( The saint of Brazil) due to the image of the saint on its main altar. Situated in Jardim América, one of the most upscale neighborhoods in São Paulo, the construction's highlight is a set of tiles forming a representation of the Stations of the Cross. The immense colorful stained glass windows and ceiling panels within the structure depict images from the Sistine Chapel, adding to the enchanting view.
Paulista Avenue is a symbol of the city of São Paulo and in addition to its business vocation and the famous cycle lane, it stands out as one of its main cultural landmarks. Theaters, cinemas, museums, cultural and shopping centers are always bustling, as well as craft fairs and street artists' performances.
The historic building of the São Paulo Museum of Art, a rectangular structure made of glass and concrete supported by red columns, dominates the heart of the capital, Paulista Avenue, in front of Trianon Park. Designed by the contemporary architect Lina Bo Bardi, MASP houses the most important artworks from Brazil and all of South America.
Along the alleys of Vila Madalena neighborhood, you'll find an open-air graffiti gallery known as Batman Alley. With narrow streets, visiting the area can be more enjoyable on foot. Its history began in the 1980s when a drawing of the comic book character Batman was found on the neighborhood walls. This event attracted fine arts students who started creating drawings with cubist and psychedelic influences on the walls of the alley, forming a gallery of completely covered walls.
The Historic Center of São Paulo is a neighborhood in the Central Zone of São Paulo. It corresponds to the region where the city was founded on January 25, 1554, by Jesuit priests. In it, you can find most of the buildings that depict the city's history, such as Pátio do Colégio, the site of its foundation. In the region, there are several cultural centers, bars, restaurants, museums, a large number of tourist attractions in the city, and government offices of the municipality and the state. It holds many charms that can be observed on walking tours, like the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, the Sé Cathedral, the Municipal Market, and much more.
The Sé Cathedral is one of the oldest monuments in the city of São Paulo. Surrounded by stories, the cathedral is a significant example of architecture different from the conventional. And the location where it stands has undergone intense transformations, going from a vehicle parking lot to the monumental church that we see today.
Considered a postcard of the most populous city in Brazil, the São Paulo Municipal Theater is one of the most important historical sites in the city of São Paulo. With a similar and inspired architectural style to the Paris Opera House, the theater is located in the Historic Center of the city, near the area of Praça da Sé. Its historical significance is due to the various important cultural events that have taken place within its premises, such as the Week of Modern Art in 1922, which marked the beginning of the Modernist Movement in Brazil.
The Paulistano Municipal Market, also known as Mercadão, is an important public market located in the Historic Center of the city of São Paulo. The neoclassical building with a touch of Gothic style impresses with the beauty of its 55 stained glass windows, which depict various aspects of food production. In addition to its historical significance, the "Mercadão" also holds great importance in the traditional gastronomy of São Paulo, offering a wide variety of snacks, appetizers, fruits, and more.
Ibirapuera Park is one of the main leisure areas in the city. Built to celebrate the 400th anniversary of São Paulo, the Ibirapuera area transformed from a large marshy land into one of the most popular spaces in São Paulo. With over 1.6 km² of space, the park offers various attractions and draws a diverse and loyal crowd. Most visitors come to Ibirapuera for weekend activities. The park hosts numerous events such as exhibitions, fairs, and concerts that attract thousands of visitors. Recreational areas like playgrounds, a skate park, and the three interconnected lakes are always bustling. Ibirapuera Park is filled with spaces dedicated to culture. The main ones include: MAM (Modern Art Museum), Afro Brazil Museum, Oca (Oval Contemporary Art), Ibirapuera Auditorium, Bienal Foundation, Pavilion of Brazilian Cultures, Japanese Pavilion, and the Planetarium (closed for renovations). In the park's outdoor area, you can also visit the Monument to the Flags and the Obelisk.
The Museum of Contemporary Art, University of São Paulo is located in Ibirapuera Park. It is one of the largest art museums in the country. The museum houses one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of 20th-century Western art in Latin America, with more than 8,000 works, comprising the most important artists, art movements, and tendencies of modern and contemporary art. Enjoy the café on the second floor, the restaurant, the bar on the terrace and the marvelous panoramic view on the 8th floor.

We just finished up a fabulous tour with Isaac Roa around Sao Paulo. Me and my best friend had an 8 hour layover in the city and wanted to utilize that time to see some of the sights. This excursion did not disappoint. I enjoyed all the history and knowledge Isaac imparted, we stopped at the market for a good lunch and we visited many sights in the city. I will definitely be recommending this 5 hour tour to family and friends traveling to and through Sao Paulo.
It was a rainy day in Sàl Paolo. But Mauro made it sure we enjoyed our tour especially with his superb narration of some important facts about the place.
We had a 5 hours Sao Paulo tour which started from Guarulhos airport. The pick up from the airport was flawless (got a message from the guide as soon as the plane landed at 05:30am). The tour itself was excellent (you will experience real Sao Paulo), but the real gem was our guide Mauro. He did everything and more for us to have a lovely time. Thank you from the bottom of our heart my friend.
Great experience. Paulo was well informed and focused on the things I preferred. Highly recommend him.
Vivienne was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable about São Paulo and flexible. We enjoyed her touring skills and her enthusiasm. Would recommend her to others!! She was very personable and had good communication with sense of humor.
Marco was a passionate, knowledgeable and awesome tour educator. Private 4 hour tour for 4 friends on short notice. We were grateful and appreciative to have lucked out to get him. We were all very pleased with our tour.
Juliana was both knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure our every need was met and took us to all locations to give us a great experience. I feel a greater connection to São Paulo. The iced chocolates were a great send off with the cheese bread.
Isaac was a fantastic guide! Not only did we get a tour of Sao Paulo, but learned a detailed history of Brazil and the city. This tour includes a visit to the Mercadao Municipal Market where we enjoyed tasting a myriad of fruit and a traditional lunch (extra $). Great tour to introduce you to the highlights of this wonderful city!
This was indeed individually-designed private tour. We asked our guide-driver Mauro to show us places, which we still have not seen in SP, and he was able to show us all during 5 hours
Viviane was the best guide I could have wished for! She adapted perfectly to my needs and interests. She’s incredibly passionate, professional, kind, and FUN! Her English and Spanish are excellent — I’ll miss you, Vivi! Communication with Upper Tours was outstanding as well: super fast responses, very flexible, professional, hard-working and friendly. I would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommended!
My friend and I booked our excursion late. We were lucky and extremely happy to have gotten David as our guide for our tour. His vast knowledge about the area and its history made for an enjoyable day. His stories along with a wonderful disposition will leave us with long lasting memories of Sao Paulo.
This tour is a must for first time visitors. Planned out very well. Vivienne was an extraordinary guide. Her love of the city shined through. Her enthusiasm was infectious. She looked out for our every need and safety. Most of all, she was lots of fun. We would rate this tour 10 stars if there were more stars to give her! Bravo!
Mario, is a fantastic host and your guide. Looking forward to my next visit. I truly enjoyed the tour and will definitely book again.
Isaac was a very friendly knowledgeable guide. We spent our first day in São Paulo with him. He was full of information on the history of the country and city. Everything was perfectly timed as we hit the sunset from the rooftop of Muesum of Modern art.
Absolutely excellent Mauro was so positive and enthusiastic about São Paulo you couldn’t help falling in love with the city. Thank you for a lovely day
The best tour I took during my trip, and I took quite a few tours. My guide, Isaac, was super knowledgeable and I learned so much about the history of Brazil. He clearly has good relationships with the people at the places he takes you. The fruit tasting was great! I saw all the main highlights of São Paulo, even more than I saw on a different 8 hour tour of São Paulo. If you want a great tour of São Paulo, I cannot recommend this one enough
Many thanks for the great tour, Juliana was outstanding! Juliana is very passioned about Sao Paolo and shared a lot of insights and great places. She was flexible to adjust the agenda as per our discussions and my interests. Would definitely recommend!

Zack is amazing guide he know about the history of places that he take me. He very professional and knowledgeable and respectful.
This is a great way to get a good overview of São Paulo in a short amount of time. I was picked up at the airport, the tour guide was on time, gave great directions to meeting him and car was very clean. I was a blank slate going into the tour and learned so much! Highly recommend.
Osmar, was a fantastic guide, super friendly. As a local he knew a great deal about each of the locations we stopped and explained there importance and function clearly. Well worth it for anyone wanting to get a feel for the city before expanding their travels
What a wonderful personalized tour! Paulo was both gregarious and knowledgeable. He kept us both safe and entertained and his clear love for São Paulo shown through. He was very accommodating to our needs and comfort, with AC and cold water offered and gladly accepted. Thank you Paulo for the great tour!
Decided to book a last minute city tour after missing my connection in São Paulo. Juliana picked me up at my hotel on time and we set out to tour this busy city. She is super nice and pleasant and very knowledgeable about her city and her country’s history. I really got a sense of the city and its origins and development. I felt that I really got to see the most important landmarks. She was a pleasure to spend the day with and the tour was definitely worth it for the short time I had in town. Highly recommend it!
Viviana was an excellent guide and made the experience top tier . Really pleased with her service and her knowledge. Many thanks
Juliana was an excellent guide for the day! Really friendly and tailored the trip to my preferences! Would definitely recommend
Having a knowledgeable tour guide, make a big difference to wether the city tour will be worth or not. Kudos to our Tour guide Mauro
I had an amazing time in São Paolo thanks to excellent service and knowledgeable tour guide Vivian from Upper Tour!! She was knowledgeable, patient, friendly and very flexible!! She was also a great photographer! I had the best solo trip!! Thanks to Regiane for working patiently to coordinate my trip and making me feel comfortable about my visit!! Sao Paolo was a city worth every bit and 5 days is not enough. The city has so much to offer with its rich history, beautiful landscapes and amazing food from all over the world!! I definitely will plan a trip back to Brazil!!
We took a private tour with Isaac around Sao Paolo. It was a superb day. He has showed us a mix of historical 'hotspots' as well als art, culture and gastronomy. The fruit tasting in the foodcourt was a nice experience. His English was perfect. Thanks for the tour Isaac!
I learned so much from my city tour with Pedro. He’s very knowledge, funny, and really easy to talk to. He gave me tons of tips and lots of laughs.
Excellent way to learn the history of the city and the country! Highly recommend it. I booked it a very last minute and could not be happier. Leo Gleicher has been simply amazing!
A highly professional, fascinating and brilliant tour of Sao Paolo, Isaac was an awesome guide with so much interesting information and lots of patience with our questions. Despite having a relatively short time before we had to catch our flight, he picked us up early and arranged the tour around our timeline and ensured we were back at the airport at exactly the right time. He showed us some key sights and interesting view points of Sao Paolo, with lots of detailed information about the history of the city and the sights we were seeing and gave our family a wonderful tour in perfect English. Calm, very friendly and a great person to talk to we really felt we had great a time. Thank you Isaac - it was very much appreciated!
Leonard was the perfect guide for our first time visit to Sao Paulo. His profound knowledge and his love for SP was very inspiring. He conciliated history, political and social aspects of his hometown on a very personal and as well professional basis. Thank you very much for this great tour, Leo. You have given us the best possible insight to Sao Paolo. We extend our thanks to your great and safe driver. You were a super team! We can only recommend you 👍🏼😍😀
Pedro the tour guide is awesome and very knowledgeable and speaks great English (for those that need it). The tour is private and customizable based on your preferences. I'd definitely recommend it!
Julianna was an absolutely fantastic guide for our private tour around São Paulo! She was not only knowledgeable but also super friendly and attentive, making the experience truly memorable. Julianna tailored the tour to our interests and made sure we got the most out of every moment. Her passion for the city really shines through, and we left with a deeper appreciation for São Paulo. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional tour
Our tour guide was Viviane. She was friendly and informative. She took us all over Sao Paulo to see the sights. We would recommend this tour.
Thank you Leo, great tour guide. Very kind and very knowledgeable of the city. Great spots, great views.
This was an amazing intro into amazing sites that São Paulo has to offer. I had one day available for leisure and this is what I chose. My guide - Nelio was knowledgeable and friendly. Because I chose a private tour we were able to talk about my interests and cater it to what I would like to see. Plus I got to choose the start time and the tour started and ended at my hotel. I loved Batman Alley and can’t wait to go back. The Market was so cool and the knowledge from the local guide adds so much to the experience. Will definitely book another tour with this company. Highly recommend Nelio. As a solo female traveler this was a great way to see the town.
The tour was fine, but we were not taken to the market and didn’t get a fruit tasting. We mostly just rode around through different neighborhoods that were mostly just generic buildings
Our trip to São Paulo was short so we wanted to make the most of our free day. We are so happy to have found this tour! Nelio was a delightful and knowledgeable guide who organized based on our preferences.
What an awesome city tour! Our guide Issac was amazing. He’s extremely knowledgeable on the history of Brazil. We learned so much and had a fun time with him. He was a strong English speaker so that helped us understand the significance of all the places we visited. The fruit tasting at the Municipal Marketplace was our fave part! Thanks for being cool Isaac.
We had a wonderful tour with Isaac today. He was on time and very professional. He was very knowledgeable and made you feel the history. He is friendly and so knowledgeable and kind. The car was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend Isaac and this tour. He is 10 out of 10. Thank you Isaac for a great day.
Isaac was my tour guide and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and polite during the whole trip. He went beyond his way to make my short stay in São Paulo a great one. He was also a great photographer and helped me out taking some pictures.
A fantastic private tour around São Paulo with this tour agency that provided excellent service. Our guide, Carlos, was knowledgeable, personable, and went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. I highly recommend this agency and Carlos for anyone looking to explore São Paulo with a top-notch guide.
This tour was amazing. My tour guide, Paulo was excellent! Paulo was knowledgeable and was very familiar with everything going on in São Paulo. I am so grateful for the experience. I look forward to another tour.
Our tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the history of São Paulo and was very patient. We were able to see all the sites promised and more. Thank you very much Isaac.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with all the sightseeing, deep conversations and history that was discussed. Highly recommend.
Me and my fiancé had the best experience in São Paulo doing the 5 hours São Paulo tour with fruit tasting. Isaac was absolutely amazing, great knowledge about São Paulo history, very calm and polite driving around the area. Took beautiful pictures of me, my fiancé, my best friend and my mum. I have to say, he’s English was spectacular, very well spoken and always with a smile in his face. highly recommended.
What an incredible day! Mauro went above and beyond to show us and help us to experience the city of Sao Paulo through his eyes. His insights to the city were evident from the multiple memories he shared of living here his whole life. We were treated to a wonderful day of seeing so many sights! We especially enjoyed sharing lunch with Mauro at the huge market. The experience did not disappoint! Our tour could not have been any better. We were exhausted at the end of the day, but it was definitely worth it. Mauro was patient in answering our every question; he paused whenever we needed to take pictures (many), and was delightful and courteous. Thank you so much, we will treasure our time with this amazing man!
Isaac was an exceptional guide on this 5 hour tour. He was very informative and accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour!
