Tour guide Doris is super friendly, informative, and enthusiastic. Covered several centuries of SP architectural development, with particular emphasis on the Paulista School, of course. She had lots to observe about SP cultural aspects and opportunities in general, which we found very helpful. We also appreciated her flexibility and ability to adjust her itinerary based on our prior knowledge/tastes. And, we ended having a lovely dinner that evening at a restaurant she recommended!

Higienópolis is an old district in the city of São Paulo, since its foundation was residence of the more wealthy classes. There are examples in styles such as eclectic, neoclassical, picturesque, Norman, Florentine, art nouveau, neocolonial, art deco, and others, being the subject of studies and researches. Many of these properties have been registered as historical heritage properties and are under preservations laws.
Walk through the historical downtown of Sao Paulo to see the history of the city being told by its constructions and concrete manifestations. A village that until 1872 had little more than 30 thousand inhabitants and was restricted to a couple of streets, São Paulo has been going through an everlasting process of verticalization from the early times into this current metropolis status of more than 12 million inhabitants. Discover some of the superstar architects behind the designs and the quirky and unusual features of São Paulo’s innovative buildings.
Paulista avenue is one of the most important in São Paulo architecturally and historically. It has several different architectonic styles representing the last 130 years ranging from old mansions to high-teach green buildings.
Mirrored buildings, glazed towers, environmentally-friendly buildings, giant free spans, vertical gardens and the largest number of helipads in the city. The area of the Brigadeiro Faria Lima Avenue it’s the main Brazil’s business district full of modern pieces of architecture. Among the mirrored buildings, the architecture that most attracts attention is the Pátio Victor Malzoni. It’s really gem!

Our guide, Doris Kertsman, was outstanding. Our group was picked up in a large, comfortable van, and for the next 5 hours she led us in a very comprehensive walking and driving tour that covered the architectural history of Sao Paulo as well as its development, from the founding of the city in the 1500's to the current megalopolis. We saw wonderful examples of the many architectural styles in the city, including a grand finale panoramic view of the city from the top of an Oscar Niemeyer masterpiece building. She is a born and raised Paulistana with a deep knowledge of her city. This tour was an absolute delight.

Dóris was an expert guide, curator, facilitator, and enthusiast for her beloved SP. We learned so much about the city’s history, energy, and moods in the time we had together — 5 hrs was too short! If you want to be shown through one of the world capitals of the built environment, she is just the person for you.
It was a great experience to go on this group tour. Our guide Bruno was awesome in explaining the historical elements of all the places we visited. Our driver Ronaldo was also good in showing us awesome places. I really enjoyed this trip. If you have a leisure day you can definitely try this.
We had a fantastic tour with Dóris! The architecture tour was a great way to get to know the city. Dóris was knowledgeable and fun. Would definitely recommend!
Danielo knows his city, its history and its architecture. I had only one afternoon free to enjoy the city and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. This five-hour tour provided a broad perspective on the architectural history of the city, from its oldest homes, to the many brutalist buildings, to the newest buildings in the new financial district to the final stop at a sweeping vista of the city. All along the way, Danielo provided the historical and cultural context with kindness, professionalism and a deeply informed knowledge base. I also enjoyed his anecdotes of Brazilian culture. He will drive you in his private car and you get a very memorable personalized tour. Highly highly recommend.
What an amazing tour! Danilo was such a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and we learned a lot about São Paulo with him; the 5 hour itinerary was perfect to see some examples of the most important local architects and styles and visit a few historical buildings. And I also have to mention that Danilo was a fantastic driver - and photographer! -, and that we (my niece, who is studying architecture, and I) felt very safe walking with him in downtown São Paulo. Already planning to do a part 2 soon!
On our way to the Pantanal for a photo tour, we had one day to immerse ourselves in São Paolo to represent the culture and built environment of Brazil. We found the perfect company in Gregtur Tourism and the perfect guide in Danilo for this day. Gregtur allowed us to change arrangements on the fly, offering to meet us at the airport to reduce wasted time. They did not charge us extra for this service and we benefited from the extra time with Danilo and were able to meet with our other group on time in the evening. Danilo was gracious and generous in sharing his knowledge of his city, its architectural history, the political history of Brazil, the current situation, and his personal situation) in response to our queries), and his additional knowledge as a result of his training in and practice of psychology. As physicians, we could relate to Danilo’s observations and interpretations of patients’ dilemmas. Danilo was generous with his knowledge, time, heart and spirit. It was a very memorable day- an experience we will always treasure!
If you want to develop a good understanding of the history and architecture of Sao Paulo my guide Danili was exemplary. He arrived promptly having cleaned his car ready for his new client was warm and so knowledgeable with an obvious passion for his city. I could not recommend him more highly. Thank you Danili Warmest wishes Helen Melbourne Australia
Our driver, Marcio Mitro, was wonderful! He had extremely good knowledge about both architecture and engineering, and between sites visited, he spoke about the history, culture, and people of São Paulo and Brazil in some depth. He was also very courteous and polite, and got us water, since it was quite warm at that time! We would not hesitate to recommend him for the Architecture tour, or any other tours he hosts! Thanks Marcio!!!
The tour was engaging and brilliantly eye opening, this is my 4th time in this magical city and I saw so much points of interest that I had never experienced during my previous three visits. Sao Paulo is incredible rich in stunning architecture and vibrant culture - the time flew past and I was so sad when our time came to an end. I had to many more questions! Our tour guide, Bruno, was absolutely amazing. Perfect english (embarrassingly we have barely a word of portugese between us), professional and patient, yet incredibly adept at keeping us on track and moving along our itinerary, as we were prone to dawdling at something interesting, potentially foregoing an opportunity further down the track. With Bruno's totally professional, patient yet firm management of our group (akin to herding cats at points) we were able to maximise our time, experience and exposure of this incredible city's thrilling buildings and history. Bruno was a genuinely enjoyable host, passionate about his job and wonderfully skilled at answering our multitude of questions, particularly whilst navigating the wild traffic and roads. I would give Bruno 6 out of 5 stars if I could and I will recommend his services and this tour to all of my visiting friends and family in the future. Thank you Bruno, it was a pleasure to spend 5 hours with you!
We had a truly excellent tour guide called Bruno. He not only had great knowledge of the city now and throughout its history, but he was magnificent at shepherding us through the various sites and locations so we saw - and understood - as much as possible. My family and I are from Australia and this is our fourth visit to São Paulo. I learned more yesterday from Bruno and his tour than all the other times together. Our special interest was in architecture and the general evolution of the city. We saw great examples of the early classical period, the 20th century nouveau, deco and modernist periods. However, you didn’t need to be passionate about architecture to enjoy this tour.
Very pleasant experience. Nice and competent Guide. Flexible to adapt program according to our interests.
We were staying in the financial district for business, and we had a half-day to make the most of the sights, and we did. A great tour, Adi was very knowledgeable and shared some surprising facts. He was passionate about Sao Palo and everything we asked he knew. We saw everything you could wish in those few hours, and he took us to the food market to conclude, which was terrific to see. Thank you, Adi, you did great.
I had a long lay-over in Sao Paulo and wanted a quick tour of the city. Doing on my own would have been too expensive and logistically difficult, as there are not many public transport options in Sao Paulo. Sao Paulo Executive Drivers provided me with the most convenient (picking me up and dropping me off at the airport) and also least-expensive option (it did not cost much more than just a roundtrip airport transport with other providers). All arrangements were easily made and confirmed online. I was met at the airport baggage claim by a greeter with my name on a placard, and introduced to my driver and tour-guide, Laura. She was very warm and friendly and effusive and excited to show me around. She tailored the sights to what I was interested in, and took me to other places I would never have considered on my own. With her commentary she provided very informative background, with historical and contemporary context. Sao Paulo is immense but she gave me a thorough and very interesting tour, even actually going over our allotted time just saw I could see everything she and I wanted. And in the end I was delivered back to the airport safely and in plenty of time to make my ongoing flight. I saw some amazing sites and buildings all over Sao Paulo. I appreciated all her insights, and they certainly enhanced my experience. Thank so you much, Laura!
A great choice to book this architectural tour. The guide Danilo has extensive experience and knowledge of the architecture and history of São Paulo and has shown us the most important landmarks of the city. Very happy with the experience, which we consider highly recommended.
Knowing St. Paul and not staying with the image of the big city, its traffic and its visual chaos was what we wanted. This tour is amazing, but Danilo is especially a great guide, not only knows its city, its history, and architecture but has the Capacity (in covers) to show each space and neighborhood, and its particularities, to finally show us a city that has multiple cities in one, all different. We leave with a totally different idea from the one we got! Thank you for such a nice experience and such kind company!
Excellent service!! Bruno our guide was very polite, had complete command of the subject and an excellent attitude.
O guia Márcio foi muito atencioso e cuidadoso com o que gostaria de conhecer. Pena que pegamos muito trânsito durante o tour, era em uma sexta-feira à tarde.
They are the ones who make travelers want to come back again, after all we want Ester in these restaurants more often
