Our tour guide, Kali, was extremely pleasant and courteous. We visited several landmarks and understood their history and significance as Kali was able to tell them well. We had lunch together then proceeded to the fruit stand at the market downtown. Excellent foods and company for all to enjoy. This was a really excellent tour with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide Doris. Doris asked us about our specific interests and tailored the tour to that. We gained a really good appreciation of the history of Sao Paolo through its architecture from its founding to the present day. We finished the tour with a coffee and the most spectacular view of the sun setting over the city. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. We spent several hours with Doris, who showed us the most important architectural highlights of Sao Paulo. Doris is knowledgable, smart and funny; a great person to guide us through town. She didn't hold back and put in plenty of political commentary which gave the tour an added dimension. I would recommend a tour with Doris very highly. Sao Paulo, to me, is not a city that shows you its' best easily, as places like Barcelona or Paris do. SP is a huge, sprawling, sometimes unattractive mass of humanity and to have someone like Doris help make sense of it for you is well worth the effort. We ended up loving Sao Paulo and it was mostly due to the quality of our guides.

Her charm, knowledge and driving skills were awesome and made our half day architectural tour of Sao Paulo exceedingly pleasant, even the large downpour towards the end of the afternoon could not dampen our spirits. Our guide's knowledge of the architecture of the city was much better than I had expected and her manner is also exceedingly pleasant, giving her charges a number of options for them to decide as it is impossible to see everything in an afternoon. We chose to look at modern architecture and we were amply rewarded with the buildings that we saw, including the Unique Hotel designed by .Ruy Ohtake, and other buildings designed the legendary Oscar Niemeyer see the picture with this review of the Ibirapuera Auditorium built in 2002-05.Many of his early works are concentrated in Ibirapuera Park, which establish to commemorate the city's 400th anniversary. Great guide, great tour, great city, great memories.</p>
