This is a wonderful place to spend a half day at!! There’s lots of arts and crafts in both stores as well as temporary booths. It’s less than an hour from the city center, so the location is super convenient. I hired a guide, Nelio, who was fabulous!

Tour was wonderful and Regiani was very knowledgeable of the history of the region and village. We had an outstanding lunch, toured a couple historic buildings and shopped the weekend craft fair. Price were very good as was the quality of merchandise especially leather products.
We went on a Sunday and toured the old church and wandered the markets and had lunch in town. It was a lot of fun and great way to get some culture while in the big city!
We had a wonderful time with Monica! She picked us up and took us to a fun town on the outskirts of the city. We were able to shop the market and tour a beautiful church and eat too much delicious food! She even bought us coffee and treats! She was knowledgeable of the area and spoke 5 languages. It was truly a pleasure and a great way to start our trip. I highly recommend this tour!
This was such an easy tour. Very responsive to WhatsApp messages. We arranged a private tour with an excellent guide. Denis spoke perfect English. Was really interesting. We really felt we were in good hands
Let me whisk you away to Embu Das Artes, a town that’s no ordinary tourist attraction. Founded by the Jesuits with the help of the local native people, this place holds a fascinating historical significance. It’s like stepping into a living canvas that tells the tale of Brazil’s cultural tapestry. Embu das Artes is one of my favorite destinations in Sao Paulo for a weeked get away. The charming colonial center is full of charming galleries, resturants and stores full of unique visual and items that can't be found anywhere else in the city. The weekend market is a real treasure with artisians selling everything from cakes to handmade leather goods and local wine and food products. Its a great place to slow down and let your give all of your senses a real treat.
Today was great with Regiani. The small quaint town of Embu Das Artez was the highlight of my stay and Regiani made it special. Thanks for a great tour and fantastic guide.
Watching vendors at work on pieces they will have for sale soon. Taking in amazing variety of items for sale.
Very nice place to take family or friends. Go early because places close early!! There is a bit of everything here for food, drink, and gifts.
Not exactly what we were expecting. Items sold at the stalls and shops were a bit kitschy but still nice to have a day outside the city.
Danilo is an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and yet shows a lot of care to his guests. I really enjoyed touring everywhere near São Paulo with him and eventually booked 4 tours with him! Highly recommend!
This was a delightful half day tour from Sao Paulo. We were very lucky to have a knowledgeable guide in Danilo who was both interesting and friendly. The village is busy with plenty on offer especially the lovely art gallery run by Jessica - Fenix Galeria de Arte. Yanomani Store had some great finds and so did Gurani Arts. There are many places to eat and the the museum is a must.
The paintings were amazing and the crafts were so well made. Our guide was the best ever with amazing knowledge of the area and the artist's
We loved our time she Laura - she was very personable and knowledgeable! We learned a lot about the area, had a nice time visiting the local artisans and shops, ate a delicious meal and it was a memorial time! Highly recommend!
It's a quaint little streets filled with so much of fun food and hand crafts. The quality of the products were really good and prices were reasonable. I got couple of cast iron vessels and it turned out really good. If you want to decorate your home with good crochet mats, table linens, this is the place. We found great deal of local cheese, spices, locally made wine and liquors.. We had brazillian buffet lunch and found very tasty and cheaper. Even though it's just a 4-5 streets of shopping, it was very colourful with fresh art display, wooden items, handicrafts, antiques, plants and garden items, food and beer, local flavors of desserts and live Music. They had good place for pets as well to play around. Awesome place to visit and buy.
Marzio is a very helpful and friendly guide. We enjoyed the trip a lot! We tried a lot of local delicacies and saw beautiful art and handcraft.
My 13 year old daughter and I participated in this 5 hour tour with an excellent english speaking tour guide - Laura. Laura was friendly, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable from the moment she walked into our hotel (she even arrived early). The drive from our hotel was about an hour. Laura then proceeced to show us around and talk to us about the local artists. We got to see several of the artists actually creating their work. It was nice to see how the artists created their masterpieces. She let us decide what we wanted to do and when we were hungry she helped us pick a suitable spot for lunch. My daughter has many food allergies and it's always a challenge to find a place to eat. Laura found the perfect spot and the manager actually spoke directly with Laura to get our food allergies and explain which food were actually safe. This tour was perfect for us! Laura made it extra special.
We had a really good time! Laura was very friendly and explained everything, plus her patience and affection! Highly recommended to do this walk
Despite the pandemic, some tents are in full steam. It’s worth taking a moment out of your Sunday and strolling through the tents and shops at Embu.
Note ten!!! Excellent guide to Laura. The city is beautiful. Laura brought us a lot of information! I found the crafts very beautiful! The buildings are very interesting!
