Our Santos tour with Danilo Valisserra was outstanding from start to finish. Danilo is the kind of guide you hope for: knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely engaging. He brought the history of Santos to life with great storytelling, from the Coffee Museum and historic downtown to Pelé’s legacy and the port. He paced the day perfectly, balancing major sights with hidden gems only a local would know. He was punctual, courteous, and went out of his way to accommodate our interests and questions. His English is excellent and he handled logistics seamlessly, making the whole experience effortless.

Itinerary
Ride on a tram upwards Mont Serrat which is a peak that has a superb panoramic viewpoint from the former old casino on the top of it. The access to the hill is made by a funicular system (called the cable car of Monte Serrat) that connects the top hill to the center of the city and departs every 20 minutes. From its viewpoint, it is possible to have a complete view of the port, the urban part of Santos and surroundings, Bertioga Canal, Estuary and Barnabé and Santo Amaro Islands.
Have a breakfast at the stylish coffee shop of the coffee museum in Santos, and visit it to learn about the importance of the coffee for Brazilian socio-economic development. The coffee shop offers the opportunity to try out all the types and aromas of coffees grounded right before drinking.
Take a sightseeing in the beautiful restored historic center of Santos and drive along the 8-km long of continuous, wide and flat strip of sandy beaches. Santos major highlight is the largest beach garden in the world, recorded in the Book of Records with 5335 meters long, full of flowers and carefully treated trees. Santos is also home to the largest port in Latin America where a huge portion of the Brazilian GDP passes through at a never-ending coming and going the transatlantics.
Admire the marvelous view of the shoreline of Santos and the city of "Saint Vincent" (First permanent Portuguese settlement in Brazil) from Niemeyer’s monument on the top of Porchat Island hill. You'll be able to see the whole shore, ships on the horizon, waves being formed, people like ants and paragliders flying around!
Guarujá is a classic Brazilian beachfront. A combination of many family-operated businesses, snack bars and restaurants. When you’re hungry, you’ll find plenty of vendors offering all kinds of tasty food, snacks, and drinks. Vendors also rent beach chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, bodyboards, scooters, and much more.

Danilo is one of the best guides we’ve ever met — always smiling, funny, an excelent driver and incredibly knowledgeable about Brazil’s history and culture. In Santos, Danilo guided us through the Port of Santos, Monte Serrat, the Coffee Museum, Rei do Café, and the Pelé Museum, bringing each place to life with stories and history. We visited Orchid garden, a wonderful combination of fauna and flora. We finished the day in Guarujá, enjoying lunch on the beach, ocean time, and a peaceful atmosphere. Conclusion: We highly recommend Danilo to anyone wanting to truly understand and enjoy São Paulo and the coast. An exceptional guide and an unforgettable experience!
We had the best tour from São Paulo to the beaches! Danilo personalized the tour to make sure we had a great day and exceeded our expectations! We would love to take more tours with Danilo when we come back to Brazil.
I Had an amazing time at the beaches. My tour guide Valiserra, was both knowledgeable and courteous. He made the day so much fun. I learned so much today about the history of coffee museum and enjoyed the parasailing. He made it a point to make my adventure personal. He was wonderful.
It was so fun. Lots to see and do. The beaches were beautiful and the town quaint. My tour guide was energetic and knowledgeable. He was such a joy to hang out with.
Our guide Mellio was fabulous! He showed us lots of cool spots in Santos and took us to the beautiful beach for a leisurely lunch. The car was clean and comfortable and he took great care to get us to our destinations quickly and safely. His English was excellent. We’re very glad we did this tour. It was worth the cost.
This was easily the worse tour experience I have ever had, especially for the price, which at the time I took the tour was over US$500 for two people. 1. The tour guide did speak English, but not very well. Kudos to him for learning more than one language, but the experience led to much confusion and a diminished experience. 2. The "historic cultural downtown" was a drive by and hand wave. 3. The Monte Serrat funicular was ok but we had all figured out by then that the language barrier was going to be a problem. I learned more by looking at the Wikipedia page after the tour. 3. The Coffee Museum was somewhat interesting but again the tour guide skipped through a lot of the exhibits because of the language barrier. 4. We chose to skip the Santos Beach because he said it was not as good as the Guaruja beach. Why would that even be a tour stop? 5. We did go to Guaruja beach which was.....fine. It's not any better or worse than any other Caribbean beach other than the water is colder. We ordered fried shrimp and they brought peel-n-eat shrimp that was not deveined. The meat filled pastry was a little better but greasy. I did love the pina colada made from fresh fruit. 6. The last stop was a lookout point over the Guaruja beach. That had pretty views. The tour lasted 6 hours - off the ship at 9 am and back to the ship by 3 pm, so we paid nearly $100/hour for a bad tour. Other people on our cruise paid US$30 for a taxi to Santos Beach, or a little more for a taxi Guaruja Beach. Should we ever return to Santos, we will do the same or just stay on the ship. This tour is a terrible value.
Our guide, Nelio, showed up 5 minutes before the designated meeting time, he is a good driver and speaks excellent English. We visited some great sightseeing points and museums, Nelio is knowledgeable about the region and its history, he explained things very well and answered all of our questions.
Márcio is an exceptional guide, who provided me an extended tour of southern SP in and around Santos at the very last minute. I booked this tour less than 30 minutes before he picked me up at my hotel. He speaks excellent English (as well as multiple other languages) and customized/personalized the tour exactly to my liking. He showed me an incredible restaurant in São Vicente and shared his extensive knowledge of history and culture in SP. I cannot recommend him and GregTurs highly enough. This was an OUTSTANDING TOUR AND MARCIO IS AMAZING ❤️
I was very happy to do this tour, it’s a beautiful drive outside São Paulo that takes you to the beach which would be difficult for a tourist to do without a knowledgeable guide. I felt very comfortable in a nice vehicle and my guide let me decide on many options to make my experience most best. He also made sure to bring back in time for a early dinner I had planned which I was very appreciative of. Obrigado!
The guide Fabio was very friendly, his English, historical knowledge, driving skills were excellent. He was flexible with us and fulfilled our needs. He was not only a tour guide or a driver , he was a passionate person sharing with us Brazilian experience and vibe. I would recommend this trip and Fabio as a guide as it was a memorable time which stays with us forever.
Wonderful and memorable tour with lovely and excellent guide, Danilo. Danilo was a responsive, informative and flexible guide. Highly recommended.
Danilo took us on this amazing tour. We had had him as our guide on a different tour the day before and were delighted to find we had him again. He was a very responsive and flexible guide tailoring the tour to us. He quickly picked up what we were interested in. We drove to the port of Santos and Danilo gave us a tour of the historic centre and a fascinating explanation about it’s history and culture. We could have visited other places there but we were keen to maximise our time on the beach in Guaruja so we briefly visited the beach and port area of Santos and then took the ferry to to Guaruja. Danilo took us to a beautiful, idyllic part of the beach and we had a fabulous afternoon there. He gave us space to enjoy the beach as a family whilst looking after us beautifully. Santos and the beach were quite a drive from the city. Danilo was a great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed Danilo’s thoughtful, interesting and informative conversation and the time flew. His English is absolutely excellent. My husband and 2 grown up daughters loved the tour and thought Danilo was an excellent and lovely guide. It was a truly memorable day. We all felt sad to say goodbye to Danilo. I cannot recommend this tour and Danilo as a guide too highly.
Joyce was very helpful and flexible in letting us choose what we were interested to go to. Excellent experience and would do it again on our next Brazil trip
Our tour guide was wonderful what an amazing experience the beach the museums very knowledgeable great customer service if I come back I would like to have this tour guide again
Strongly recommend tour guide Nelio! He is excellent english-speaking guide with lots of knowledge to share of Brazil history, culture and of course the sights to see in and around Sao Paulo. We were in safe hands everywhere we went, he is an excellent driver and knew his way around. He was also open to our requests to see some less-touristy spots, and we spent a very memorable day at a beautiful (bit hidden) beach. On the way he made sure we had enough stops and options for good food (and fruits on the way!) & fresh beverages. He is also inspiring with his learn-something-new-everyday approach! Very grateful for the experience and his time.
We had a fabulous time visiting the beaches in Brazil with our guide Dennis. He was very personable, knew the city well and was able to show us some great views. Highly recommend this tour and would also recommend you request Dennis as your guide!
Nelio was a great tour guide and companion throughout the day. He engaged with us easily, showed us all sorts of great sites and was very pleasant to be with (even when he had to deal with driving through very dense fog!). To get 5 out of 5 on the rating, we'd recommend that some different food options at the beach were available. We were set up with a table, umbrella, menus and beer (!) but the fried food wasn't really to our liking. It's possible that there were other fresher options on the menu and it would have been great if Nelio could have given us a sense for the range of food so we could have gotten food that was more appealing to us. We would definitely recommend the tour!
Very knowledgeable guide. He knew so much. Helped communicate with the local people. Made me feel safe the entire time.
The private tour gave us the opportunity to spend more time at the beach like we wanted, sun tan and drink caipirinhas! Adi, our tour guide, was really nice, knew lots of information and chat with us throughout the whole trip. We loved this day tour; getting to know Santos and Guaraju is a most!
Today was an amazing day with another great tour guide in Denis. We visited Guarujá and Santos. The weather was perfect and beaches were amazing. The water was super warm. After the tour of beaches I went paragliding for the first time which was amazing. After we ate lunch at a beautiful restaurant that looked over the beachfront. Then we visited the coffee museum and my goodness right when you walk in you smell the amazing coffee. Also Denis knows a lot about coffee since he makes his own. Today was another perfect day in the beautiful country of Brazil.
This trip was the one of the highlights of our time in Brazil! Denise and Galhardo (driver) took such good care of us! This trip takes you to Santos and the coffee museum (yum!). While there, you can visit a church built in the 1600's which has breathtaking art and master craftsmanship. It is a jewel in this historic town. Then, travel to São Vicente for a spectacular view and take the lift to the top of a mountain for a little extra fun...you may get lucky and get to see a monkey or two! From there, we traveled to an exclusive beach where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful ocean while spending time with family and friends. The service provided by Denis is truly top notch. The entire day Denis and his driver took care of our every need. It was a hassle-free day and extremely relaxing! This tour is a must!
It was a spectacular day, we were in 8 people, 4 from the USA and 4 from Brazil. It was the first time that these Americans visited Brazil, they loved the food, the culture, the delicate form of attention and service of the people, leaving them feeling more welcome here. The tour of the cities of Santos, São Vicente and Guarujá was excellent, including the coffee museum, the cable car, porchat island and the enseada beach in Guaruja. On that day tour guide Denis and his partner driver (Galhardo) were excellent service providers served above prospects, and representative Renato of Gregtur Agency, was an essential person in our week in the kind attending the best possible way, offering great tours for us. Thank you very much for each who participated in some way in our week in Brazil, in various tours. We strongly recommend the Gregtour Agency and their employees.
We (group of 7 people from Serbia, Croatia and Romania) enjoyed our visit to Santos and Guaruja. Our daily trip from Sao Paulo was a very interesting experience covering some of our favourite things: Santos Coffee (which is a famous sign of quality in our countries) and beautiful Brazilian beaches of Guaruja which indeed are just as beautiful as one may imagine any tropical paradise beach. :) Our guide (Bruno) was amazingly careful, knowledgeable and was quite helpful along our way and he gave insightful explanations about the sights along the way. We also felt very safe with our driver Severino in charge of our very comfortable ride. All in all - we’d recommend this trip to anyone coming to Sao Paulo for 3 or more days! :)
Give him total genius! Very cultured and entertaining for many conversations. Well needed to pass the São Paulo traffic. Highly recommended. I learned a lot from the area and Brazil in general. Besides Guarujá is beautiful and I saw the citrosuco pipe
Danilo is a great guide, with a lot of knowledge of the history of the area. Drive great and tell details of the places. Also highly valued are their tips on where to eat. I ate the best Moqueca I have ever tasted and had a spectacular coffee in Santos. Thanks Danilo for everything!
Lovely trip had insane guide. Showed us everything. Train to former casino very nice. Too bad it was Monday and some things closed. And dropped off at the airport on time.
We had a great time, good food, excellent views and our guide Danilo was very attentive, friendly, had a pleasant conversation, apart from all that he was a wonderful photographer, we were delighted with the beaches, the road and the places. THANK YOU 😊
The tour very special and super recommended. Our guide Danilo, the most for his excellent attention and dedication. Unmissable!
We had to go on a private walk with Bruno Ferrari as a guide, it was a very nice experience, very punctual, prudence in handling, a lot of patience, empathy at all times and excellent communication! I am certainly very satisfied with the tour taken. I highly recommend the company and our star guide.
Mauro was an excellent guide. Very pleasant and very friendly, indeed I forgot some souvenirs in the coffee museum and very kindly took me back to pick up what I had forgotten. The weather favored us a lot, if you are in a hurry through São Paulo, this is an excellent option to know more emblematic places and quickly. The car we moved in was top notch and all the time I talked a lot about different topics of Brazil, I could share with the new words and never rushed for time. Excellent everything and highly recommended. 😎👌👍
Good ADI Service, lots of patience, support and support throughout the tour we do in Santos and Guaruja.
We really enjoyed the city, with its wonderful views and museums. In the afternoon, we went to lunch in Guarujá at a beachfront restaurant where we could combine the food with refreshing baths in the clean and calm water. A 10 by Carlos, our guide, always ready to help and enliven the day with his anecdotes. Another 10 to the driver, always prudent and responsible behind the wheel.
Despite the bad weather, we really enjoyed our visit to Santos and surrounding areas. Pursuing the main objective of the tour, our guide Bruno took us to know the beaches of the region from the most beautiful perspectives, but, due to bad weather (it did not stop raining at any time) our visit focused mostly on the historical and cultural aspects of the city. Bruno was able to answer accurately and interesting information and anecdotes to the most varied questions, and we are extremely grateful for the beautiful day we spent in Santos.
The guide Bruno Ferrari very good..i.lending his knowledge with a lot of professionalism and the very friendly driver
They were punctual in arrival at the hotel, normal vehicle with air conditioning, the team that attended us excellent, the guide very attentive and patient to attend to 7 people, the very nice places ....recommendable
Professionalism shows when you make a last minute decision and achieve a good experience. Despite the weather we managed to tour, visit and know much of the area. In addition with a company and guide with a lot of instruction, dedication and high level.
Bruno is a super good guide, knows a lot about history and is very entertaining, has very good layout
