An unforgettable experience with Bruno! This was honestly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in São Paulo. Visiting the favela with Bruno was something truly special and unforgettable. Bruno is an incredible guide — friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. He made me feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience, while giving me the opportunity to see and understand the community from a much more authentic perspective. I had an amazing time meeting local people, seeing everyday life and learning more about the community and its culture. It felt genuine and personal, not like a typical tourist tour. Thank you, Bruno, for such a wonderful day and for showing me a side of São Paulo that I will always remember. I highly recommend this experience! 10/10! 🇧🇷❤️

Itinerary
The tour starts at the Community Association Office. Visitors will learn about the community’s history, the foundation of the “Community Association” and its main projects.
Then, visitors will be led to the community radio studio to watch a live show and meet some community speakers. (the itinerary may be different depending on the date and time of the tour)
Pay a visit to Berbéla and his mechanical workshop, a great plastic artist and community resident. Berbéla builds his works of art from automotive parts such as metal scraps and chemical wastes, giving life to all sorts of material discarded in his workshop. He makes pieces of artwork that few can argue about his talents.
Go to the house of the sculptor Estevão, also known as “Gaudí of Paraisópolis”. Once there, visitors will be able to enter a beautiful stone house, full of accessories and common objects such as cups, saucers and dishes, which are part of the structure of the house, giving it charm and a sense of fantasy for the visitors. Go on an adventure through openings and gaps to reach the viewpoint, and appreciate the stunning contrasting scenery of favela across the fancy area of Morumbi neighborhood.
Visitors will walk throughout the community narrow alleyways reaching the Palmeirinha’s football field, and perhaps catch a class of the students of the project "Rugby For All". (the itinerary may be different depending on the date and time of the tour)
Go on to see Luciana’s alley and continue on to “BECEI Library”, which is the 1st library created within a community.
Walk through narrow streets of the center Paraisopolis heading to Paraisópolis Ballet Project. Meet the director and dancer Mônica Tarragó, who will present the project and get visitors to watch a little of the class and meet some students.
After all that, visitors may want to have a superb typical Brazilian food at the charming “Bistro Mãos de Maria” on the rooftop of the community association headquarters in the Favela. (not included in the tour price)

I compared several tours in this area and booked with this company because it covered the most locations. In the end, my decision proved to be right—I was able to see the various initiatives in Paraisópolis, and my experience was absolutely wonderful. Actually, on my first visit, even though they were listed on the tour itinerary, no appointments had been made for visits to the ballet studio and the community radio station. However, my guide, Carlos, listened sincerely to my requests, and the tour company was very courteous, allowing me to take the tour again at a discounted rate. As a customer, I want to honestly document this and express my gratitude for the wonderful service provided by the tour company and my guide, Carlos!
Fantastic show beautiful music from the musicians and dancers were mesmerising. The show was sold out and the atmosphere was brilliant.Thestaff at the hipperdrome are always friendly.my wife and granddaughters loved the show from the start and all said the same how did the performers keep going.Welldone to all and highly recommended
Carlos was absolutely incredible. Had such positive energy and wonderful knowledge of all of São Paulo. We have been blessed to travel all over the world and he was definitely one of the best. The guadi faces house in the favella can not be missed and can’t believe it’s not advertised it’s unbelievable.
Danilo was an excellent guide. Not only did he provide a lot of background information on the way there, but together with the G10 organization he was able to offer incredible insights into life in the Favela during those 5 hours— with meaningful encounters, great food, unique views, and authentic perspectives. He is a fantastic guide! Highly recommended!
I did a guided tour of Paraisópolis, the largest favela in São Paulo, and it was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my trip. My personal guide Adi was fantastic — fluent in English and deeply knowledgeable about the community. He helped translate from our local favela guide, Marcus, who spoke Portuguese, so I never felt out of the loop. The tour was informative, respectful, and gave a nuanced look at daily life in Paraisópolis — both the challenges and the incredible creativity that thrives there. I was amazed by the talent, art, and sense of community within the favela. At no point did I feel unsafe; instead, I felt welcomed and inspired. The highlight for me was visiting what locals call the “Gaudí of Brazil” house — a surreal, hand-built architectural wonder that felt like stepping into a dream. If you’re visiting São Paulo, don’t shy away from this experience. It’s powerful, human, and unforgettable — a side of Brazil that deserves to be seen and understood firsthand.
Never expected that we could get a chance to get to Favela. It was absolutely fun, interesting and unique experience. Our guide Carlos was professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!
Wonderful trip to change the prejudices regarding the favelas and to get to know some kind and friendly artists and other people. I can highly recommend the guide and the agency.
This wonderful hotel in the centre of the old city of Avignon is highly recommended. Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable room and close to everything you need. Stayed 10 days in a Privilege Room with Terrace - just brilliant to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Lots of room and added bonus of being outside on a rooftop with views of the old city. Great value for money. Well done Hotel de l'Horloge.
Mauro was a lovely guide! This is a great way to experience a piece of authentic Brazilian culture and creativity. I learned a lot and felt entirely safe.
I went with my family, including two children, ages 8 and 10. This may have been the highlight of our trip to Brazil! Marcio was a wonderful guide, and the tour is well designed to highlight the special positive features of the favela. The art was breathtaking.
It was a fantastic experience , my guide Aby knows the wright people on the favela , I never felt unsecure and learnd alot from the people in there.
The tour was very nice and interesting, with Bruno being an absolutely fantastic guide. We give 4 out of 5 stars, because we feel the tour is marketed wrongly. You do go in the favela, but actually that part is very short and you only visit 2 or 3 places. We thought we would walk around more in the streets to try and get some feeling of what “life in the favela” means. That being said, we still had a great time with an interesting tour, much of it thanks to Bruno!
The tour was very fun and interesting and we got to experience how the people in favela are living which was very interesting. We also got to meet different artists in the favela which make absolute masterpieces. I would definitely go back again.
Absolutelely amazing experience. Great guide, great food and overall a great time. Highly reccomended
My wife and I toured the Paraisópolis favella with Adi and two local residents. Adi and the other guides and tour were fantastic!! We met the mayor of the favella and had our picture taken with him. We toured the streets and learned how the residents are working to improve their lives. We spent time in the favella home of a artist whose home was ornate and grand and amazing. We had lunch in the favella with our guides and it was delicious! I would highly recommend this favella tour to anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of favellas. You will be inspired by their warmth and intimate community.
Thank you Carlos for a wonderful tour. I loved walking through the market, trying street food and getting to know the community. I really appreciated you showing me more of Sao Paolo as well. You were right, the view you insisted I see was spectacular!
A walk through the favela, mingling with local artists and learning about what an amazing job people in the favela do ti lift up their community. Great guide and communication.
Touring the favela provided intimate insight into the challenges of sustainable development. This was also one of the most inspiring experiences. We toured the favela with a member of the local development agency. He welcomed us with open arms and exposed us to members of the favela community. The tour includes a visit to the local ballet school, a women's cooperative, two artists homes, and the local development program. The tour guide was welcoming, informative and so kind. I highly recommend this experience.

I highly recommend the walk. It is a unique experience, of great artistic richness and affectionate welcome. Both the place and the people of Paraisópolis have a very good energy, overflow creativity and fascinate us with their examples of resistance.
It was very interesting. A real experience of what is the favela d paraisopolis. With urban artists very intresanyes
Hello, this is the second round I have done. I just visited the favelas with a guide in French who speaks the language perfectly. The agency is very serious and responds quickly. Rates are correct. Security is present, you risk nothing. The guide adapts to your wishes, which is excellent. I highly recommend this agency. Eric Paris France.
Visited a favela with Carlos and then did a short tour to explore Sao Paulo. Carlos knows great places in the city; ones I would also show friends from abroad in my hometown. It was the perfect mix of historical facts that capture the mood and way of life in the city, get some culinary impressions and the whole thing came to life with its stories about the city. It was a great tour. Carlos speaks super German. Thank you.
It was a very different and beautiful experience. I was very surprised by all the projects being developed in Paraisopolis. The people are very friendly and cheerful. Our bruno guide was excellent very gentle and helpful, definitely an unforgettable experience.
Our experience in the favela was extraordinarily good and we learned a lot thanks to the Adi guide who offered us many explanations and attention in everything we need. The guide Adi had an exceptional attitude with us explaining everything with a lot of passion showing that he really likes his work and knows very well the favela and everything related to Sao Paulo and Brazil.
