I had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel from May 31 to June 1.
Luna was fantastic from the moment I arrived. She checked me in with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, making me feel truly welcome. She also went above and beyond by offering excellent gift recommendations for my wife. The suggestion was perfect — my wife absolutely loved the gift!
The service and attention to detail made my short stay memorable. I truly appreciated Luna’s helpful and friendly approach. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to São Paulo.

The room I received looked nothing like the photos on the hotel’s website. I booked a modern, updated room but was given something straight out of the 1980s. Worn furniture, scratched surfaces, felt dirty, and the mattress was rock hard.
I complained and was moved into basically the same outdated room. When I raised it again, staff brushed it off as “just the decor,” which is ridiculous. The decor is exactly the problem. It felt closer to a cheap motel than a 5‑star hotel.
There are no photos of these older rooms online, which is misleading at best and feels like false advertising.
Only when I said I was leaving did they finally give me the room I actually booked. That one matched the photos and was what you’d expect from a hotel in this category: clean, modern, comfortable bed.
Overall, the experience was inconsistent and disappointing. You shouldn’t have to argue multiple times just to get what you paid for.
As a solo traveler so has visited resorts and many upscale properties this was the very best experience all around. Every staff member: from the front desk at check in, the spa, M lounge, bellman, bar tender, were courteous, polite & always willing to assist. This was consistent across the 6 days I was here. One staff member held the elevator for me on two separate occasions. This is not common in today’s world unfortunately.
The restaurant on site was amazing and beautiful, the room service whether requesting through the app or call never to place an order never took longer than expected.
The location is perfect and the navigator even located a barbershop nearby and helped translate what I needed before arriving.
I even just took a day or two to just enjoy the hotel instead of exploring the city. Thanks again for the birthday surprise and thank you to everyone who helped make my birthday experience here one to remember!
Wonderful place, but the mattress was too firm. Costly but the room was quite minimal even at the top floor. I had problem sleeping the whole week. The gym was very nice and well equipped and the sauna did its job.
Where you need to keep an eye on is the services. I found in the bill that I was being falsely charged for a service I didn't use. About 900 brl. And. When you try to escalate and resolve, it's not easy. They don't have an email address and through the phone call, it hangs you up even if you provide the correct confirmation number. So overall, if I go back I'll avoid booking here again. Hotel is Flamboyant but the services are quite poor.
Had an excellent stay at this property. The location is one of its strongest assets—being at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel, you are just steps from Avenida Paulista, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. With easy access to shops, restaurants, cultural attractions, and metro connections, it’s an ideal base whether you’re visiting for a short stay or several days.
The level of service was consistently exceptional. Any request made to the front desk was handled promptly and often exceeded expectations.
A special mention goes to Madu, who made a lasting impression from the moment we arrived. Although she was not the one formally checking us in, she took the time to personally greet us, ask about our travels in Brazil, and share her genuine enthusiasm for her country. Throughout our five-day stay, she continued to engage with us whenever we crossed paths, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly elevated the experience.
The hotel’s amenities are equally impressive. The gym is well-equipped, making it easy to maintain a regular fitness routine while traveling. The pool area offers ample seating, and while the pool itself is moderately sized, it never felt overcrowded during our visits. Room service was efficient and reliable, with late-night orders arriving within approximately 20 minutes, even over the weekend.
On our final evening, we spent time in the lobby enjoying wine and were pleasantly surprised by the live music, signature cocktails, and vibrant ambiance. It was a memorable way to conclude a very enjoyable stay.
