It is definitely the best hotel in São Paulo! The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast has all the best things in Brasil with good quality fruits. The staff is beyond professional and has helped me with a very delicate situation with attention and care. I couldn’t be more thankful and always come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at L’Hotel PortoBay São Paulo. What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of hospitality. From the moment we arrived, there was a genuine attention to customer service and a feeling that the staff truly wanted to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and had everything we needed. Nothing felt forced or transactional. We genuinely felt taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel itself is elegant, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. The pool is on the smaller side, but we actually loved the peaceful atmosphere and found it to be the perfect place to unwind. And the sauna was HOT, exactly how a sauna should be! The gym is fairly small and may not have everything you’re looking for if you’re someone who works out regularly. However, there are excellent gyms just a short walk up the street that offer inexpensive day passes, so this was an easy solution and wouldn’t stop us from staying here again. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was absolutely delicious. The food, atmosphere, and service made for a wonderful evening, and I would definitely recommend having dinner here during your stay. Above everything else, it was the hospitality that made L’Hotel PortoBay special for us. There’s something wonderful about staying at a hotel where you feel like the staff genuinely cares about your experience. We really, really enjoyed our time here. L’Hotel PortoBay will absolutely be at the top of our list when we return to São Paulo. An easy five stars from us.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to all the services and places a tourist might need. The hotel is quiet, pleasant, and a great place to relax. The interior design is elegant and visually soothing. The staff are helpful and respond quickly to requests. I had a wonderful three-day stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

My stay at PortoBay São Paulo was disappointing and far below what I would expect from a five-star international hotel. To be fair, the staff were generally polite and friendly, and the breakfast was satisfactory for the price paid. However, there were two major issues that seriously affected my stay. First, every morning at around 7:00 a.m., I was woken up by very loud plumbing noises coming from the building’s pipework. This happened repeatedly and made it impossible to enjoy a proper night’s rest. Second, the bathroom facilities in my room had significant sanitary problems. The toilet repeatedly failed to function properly, forcing us to contact reception on multiple occasions. At times, we even had to use the public restrooms in the hotel because the facilities in our room were not usable. What was most disappointing was not only the existence of these problems, but the hotel’s response. The reception team acknowledged the issues, yet no room change, meaningful solution, commercial gesture, or compensation was offered. For a hotel that markets itself as a five-star property, this lack of professionalism and customer care is difficult to understand. Maintenance issues can happen in any hotel. What distinguishes a quality establishment is how it responds when they occur. Unfortunately, PortoBay São Paulo failed in that regard. Because of the combination of the room issues and the absence of an appropriate response from management, I cannot recommend this hotel. There are better options in São Paulo that provide a higher standard of comfort, maintenance, and guest service.
