Booking this private experience was one of the best decisions of our Santorini trip. The day was thoughtfully planned around the island’s busy areas, allowing us to explore comfortably and enjoy beautiful places without spending unnecessary time in long lines. The guide shared fascinating local history and made each stop more interesting. We also had time to enjoy a winery with stunning views, taste traditional Greek food by the sea, and visit quieter locations for memorable photos. 🍷 Ending the day with a peaceful caldera sunset was unforgettable. Santorini felt easy to explore, well organised, and genuinely enjoyable from beginning to end.

Itinerary
The village is one of the most stunning locations on the Island, which explains its increased popularity among locals and visitors. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Island and the caldera. Visitors can find accommodations, fine restaurants, bars, and other leisure and relaxation options. Firostefani can meet even the highest standards and needs, as the Island is a famous and ideal destination for world celebrities.
Stop at Imerovogli and visit hidden spots with amazing views of the western parts of Santorini Caldera. This will help you understand and feel the difference between touristy and non-touristy places. The modern village towers over an impressive volcano about 300 meters above sea level. It is about 3 km northwest of Fira on the road to Oia. In addition to the paved road, the village is connected to the capital of Santorini by a path offering endless views of the unique volcanic landscape.
Oia village is one of the most popular and visited places in Santorini. Oia is a small town and former community in the South of the Aegean Sea, on the Islands of Thera in the Cyclades, Greece. It covers the entire island of Thirasia and the northwestern part of Santorini, which it shares with the municipal unit of Santorini. Oia is known for its breathtaking sunsets, but its sunrise is also magical. The city is the most popular place on the island to watch the sunset, so it can be hectic. Stroll through the narrow streets of Oia to take one photo after another, from houses covered with pink bougainvillea to church towers silhouetted against the blue Aegean Sea. It's a good place to wander around and see what you'll find, with plenty of cafes, rooftop bars, art galleries, and boutiques selling local crafts. There are many panoramic viewpoints, including the Castle of St. Nicholas and churches with blue domes. Don't miss the famous sunset in Oia.
Red Beach is located in the southeastern part of the island near the archaeological site of Akrotiri, 14 km from Fira, and is easily accessible by car or bus. At the end of the road is a parking lot next to the picturesque chapel of Agios Nikolas (St. Nicholas). The short hike to the beach over the rocks from the parking lot is tricky. If you want to avoid the walk and go up to Red Beach, you can take a short boat trip from Akrotiri, Kamari, or Perissa. A swim on Red Beach can be combined with a visit to the Akrotiri archaeological site. The best view of the beach opens when you approach and leave. From the top of the cliff, there is a stunning view of the beach, which is a great place to take photos.
Emporio village is located in the southern part of Santorini. It is approximately 10 km from Fira, Chora of Santorini, and 12 km from Santorini Airport. Emporio is located next to the famous black beach of Perissa, just 4 km away. Emporio gives the feeling of being in the lowlands, at the foot of the mountain, and its views are those of a valley village, complete with vineyards. The name of Emporio (Niborios), which means "trade" in Greek, is the first indication of how important this village was to the economy of Santorini in medieval times. Emporio is a castle village with one of the best preserved and most unique medieval castle towns.
Perissa is a gorgeous beach covered in black volcanic sand, great for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. It is located on the southeast coast of Santorini and is extended at the base of the massive Mesa Vouno promontory, suddenly emerging into the sea. At the top of the mountain is the ancient city of Thira. Perissa is one of the island's most cosmopolitan beaches, stretching for miles. It is joined by Perivolos beach, a more than 7 kilometers beach. The water is obvious, easy to lean in, and beautiful. The coarse black sand is walking-friendly, and it shines like glitter. However, summer can be sweltering. Stop at Perissa or Perivolos to swim or have an optional lunchtime at a traditional tavern (extra cost).

Seeing Santorini by private vehicle made the day feel easy and flexible. There was enough time to visit beautiful viewpoints, explore different parts of the island, and stop in quieter places without feeling rushed. The wine tasting with a caldera view was a lovely addition, while trying traditional Greek food by the sea made the experience even more enjoyable. Ending the day with a peaceful sunset was the perfect touch. The guide shared interesting history and useful local details while still giving us plenty of freedom to enjoy the surroundings at our own pace.
Booking a private half-day wine tasting and winery tour with Top Santorini Tours was the best decision we made for our family trip! From the convenient pick-up service to the last moment, every detail was handled with exceptional care and professionalism. Our guide, Themis, was absolute perfection! He was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and shared insightful stories as we visited remarkable wineries and tasted a variety of exquisite local wines. Beyond being an amazing host, Themis went above and beyond for our family—taking incredible photos of us at the best spots to capture memories we will cherish forever. What touched our hearts the most was his remarkable care and attention toward my mother, especially while navigating the steep steps. His thoughtful gestures and genuine warmth made the entire experience comfortable, safe, and stress-free. If you want a authentic, high-quality, and meaningful experience in Santorini, I highly recommend Top Santorini Tours and asking for Themis!
Harrs was the nicest and most attentive driver and guide. He drive us to the jcests spots, told us a lot about the island and made our tour pleasant and smooth in all possible ways.
Excellent tour of the entire island of Thera. (santorini) great lunch dtop (Best Gyros in Greece). Very knowledgeable guide!
Absolutely incredible experience with Alex and Andrea! From start to finish, they made our day unforgettable. Alex is not just a driver he’s smooth, safe, and genuinely friendly. Andrea, our guide, was an absolute gem: knowledgeable, engaging, and full of heart. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and having fun the entire time. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every detail. If you’re lucky enough to tour with Alex and Andrea, consider yourself in for a truly five-star experience. Don’t miss it you’ll be talking about them long after the trip ends!
Our driver/guide (Nick White) was top notch in every way. We totally circumnavigated the island seeing all of the significant sites. We even had time for an additional stop at a winery for a tasting (small extra fee). Very nice vehicle. Lots of great interesting information. Highly recommend this program.
My wife, daughter and I had an amazing day with our guide and, who we will now call our friend, George. He arrived at our hotel early, had cold waters for us throughout the day and took us to amazing sights around the entire island. His knowledge of the island is great. He knew all the great locations for incredible pictures and we soon realized that we not only had a tour guide taking us around the island for 5-plus hours, but we also had a great photographer. I actually nicknamed him “King George” because everyone on the island seemed to know him and he/we got preferential treatment at many spots that we stopped at. Our tour ended at an amazing Greek restaurant/winery by the name of Artemis Karamolegos. The food, wine and service were all 5 stars. I have not been a big fan of Greek food, but, I must admit, the food at this restaurant was incredible. We did wine tasting and were even taken on a tour of the winery, including into the wine cellar. All in all, an extremely highly recommend thing to do while in Santorini.
Maribelle was an absolutely amazing tour guide. Our boat let us off about 1.5 hours later from our scheduled time. She accommodated our group of 10's late arrival by showing us some amazing views and tasting delicious food. She told us about the history and interesting facts regarding the island. She made our time in Santorini very enjoyable and filled with laughs. She had everything timed to the minute, even with our late arrival. George was our driver and did a phenomenonal job navigating the narrow, traffic filled streets. Would absolutely book them again in a heartbeat. Our group of 10 said it has been their best time in Greece so far!!!! If you are looking for an enjoyable, laughter filled day with some delicious food, book this tour, hands down!!!
ANGELOS did a wonderful job showing us places around the island. We never knew existed. He was courteous and gracious to us. His car was comfortable and clean. It was a wonderful tour my wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you for such a good job.
Awesome guide and driver team! It was the best decision to have them shown around the less crowded secret spots in Santorini, in the comfort of private vehicle with AC which made the experience a lot more enjoyable. Learned a lot about the history and culture, also great food at winery.
We were a group of 12 and wanted to see as much as we could. Our guide Yainnis was very knowledgeable and took us to a couple extra spots since we made time in our schedule which we really appreciated. Definitely recommend their tour when visiting Santorini.
We had the best time with our tour guide Natalia! We booked this private tour with another family and there were 4 adults and 4 kids total (ages between 6-9). Natalia is a native of the island and knew all of the best places to take us. She was great with the kids - playing music for them and keeping them engaged. She took us to all the "Instagram-worthy" places and then made a lunch reservation for us at a restaurant right on the black sand beach where we ate the fresh catch of the day. I highly recommend this tour company and especially her to lead you around for the day.
We traveled comfortably with my 88-year-old grandmother! Our guide, who spoke excellent Spanish, was knowledgeable and warm, extending a hand to help my grandma on any difficult steps (my grandmother is in good health but does tire). Our guide waited right by the exit from the cable car in Fira to escort us to the cushy van. They also supplied waters the whole time. She and the driver accommodated our itinerary to ensure we would return in time to the cable car. No better way to get around when you only have one day in Santorini! Thankful for Top Santorini Tours' making it the best, in such a short time!
We had a wonderful day with Yannis and Alex. They were both so helpful and knowledgeable. They made us feel welcome and made the day so fun. I would highly recommend taking this tour with them. The 6 of us had a wonderful day!!!
We had a great tour of the island with Minus as our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to take us wherever we wanted to go. He had a great place picked out for our lunch at a restaurant on a quiet beach. He also took us to many of the top attractions around the island. Minus was a great host for our group of 12. We enjoyed the tour and would definitely use Top Santorini Tours again.
My tour guide, Mary was excellent. She is a fountain of information about history, mythology, archeology, art, botany and all kinds of local knowledge. We visited the hilltop monastery, with its 360 degree panoramic views, the archeological excavations at Akrotin, the Archeological Museum at Thira, and Fira, among several other places. In addition, our very kind driver, who Knew I only had a short time here, made a few extra stops somI could get additional photos. Couldn’t have been more pleased with my private tour.
Helen was such an informative tour guide. We we able to say our priorities and the tour was based on that. Since we are in Oia, we were able to end our tour in Oia for a sunset view. We were also able to do 6 bottle, wine tasting in Venetsanos Winery all within our schedule. Helen was also a great photographer. She took us to hidden gems around Santorini and took awesome shots of us. As an Asian myself, she's awesome to have as a tour guide and photographer! She kept us well informed of the sites we're visiting and talked about the history of Santorini the entire tour. The 6 hours was very well planned. I can't forget to mention how professional of a driver we had. I don't recommend driving yourself in Santorini so having a driver around is the way to go. This is a highly recommended company to go with when in Santorini!
We will not be able to actually take this tour in Fall 2020, due to COVID-19 closures and pause of cruising. However, I wish to compliment Tatiana and Top Santorini for promptly refunding our 100 EUR deposit and will not hesitate at all to book with them in future when we do get to visit Sicily.
Excellent services with a clean & comfortable mini-bus for a group of 8 people, and absolutely with a super-friendly driver - Takis. He's very knowledgeable and took us to all of the prime locations, adjusted the itinerary as requested. We even booked a second 5-hour tour with him! Highly recommended to join the Top Santorini Tours!
