The name Firostefani comes from the Greek characteristic "Stefani ton Iron," which means the crown of Fira. Firostefani is one of the oldest villages on the island of Santorini. It is located on the north side of Fira and is currently considered one village along with the capital of Santorini, Fira.
Since the time of Byzantium, Imerovigli, one of the most impressive villages of Santorini, has stood on the highest point of the caldera. It is believed that the early settlement of Skaros was built in 1207 by the Venetian James Varotsi, who was granted Santorini after the conquest of Constantinople by the Crusaders in 1204. The modern village towers over an impressive volcano about 300 meters above sea level. It is about 3 km northwest of Fira on the road to Oia. In addition to the paved road, the village is connected to the capital of Santorini by a path offering endless views of the unique volcanic landscape.
The village of Oia is one of the most famous tourist places worldwide for its sunset and cave buildings stretching over Ammoudi and Armeni up to the Perivola district. Recently, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and shops have appeared in the buildings. It is trendy throughout the day and at sunset.
Megalochori is a village that is full of vineyards. It is located on the southwestern side of Santorini, and its region reaches the location of the Caldera from the West and the traditional residential development to the East. Here, archaeologists found items Dating back to the first Cycladic period.
The village of Kamari in Santorini is built on the seashore, on one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. It is located 9 kilometers from Fira and is located next to the airport, on the one hand, and next to the mountain of Meat - on the other. It is one of the largest villages in Santorini, with about 1300 inhabitants, while the beach is considered by many to be the most popular beach on the island. This is one of the most "modern" villages since significant reconstruction began after the devastating earthquake of 1956 when many residents of Episkopi-Gonia moved here to live.

The boat was clean and comfortable, and it was great having an onboard kiosk with reasonably priced snacks and drinks whenever we wanted a quick refreshment. The highlight of the day was definitely swimming in the hot springs. The safety briefing was clear, and with basic swimming skills it was easy to enjoy the warm water and make it back to the boat within the scheduled time. Good call shortening the sightseeing layout to 4 hours. George managed our group of seven nicely—got us to the western side just in time for the sun to drop. Driving on those island hills can be tricky but he kept a very safe, controlled pace. No rushing through stops.
This was the best tour of the entire cruise, because of our Guide Kenzo and our Driver Alex. Kenzo was prompt and met us exactly where the tour confirmation said he would be. He was so nice, spoke very clearly and projected his voice well ( without yelling) so every person on our tour could hear him clearly. When we first met Kenzo, I informed him of my Mothers hearing impairment, which we can struggle with on tours. Kenzo immediately treated my mom like he would his mother and made sure that she was always able to see him so she could lip-read and understand what was going on. That truly made a difference. Not only that, but both he and Alex were amazing photographers and knew all the good places to take our photos with the white buildings, blue domes, Azure sea, and bougainvillea. Not only did they take Instagram-worthy photos for everyone on the tour, but they did it so fast, no one was ever waiting around long. The island was beautiful, and Kenzo gave such good commentary explaining things. We paid roughly the same price as we would if we booked a tour through our cruise line, but got so much more value. We only had 8 people on our tour (compared to the fifty or more that are normally on a cruise line tour) . I cant say enough good things about this tour and our guide. Thank you.

We had the best day in beautiful Santorini thanks to Viator’s excellent customer service. We booked a small group minivan tour, but my husband and I were the only ones on the tour. Our driver had car trouble and Viator quickly rescheduled us with another driver. George arrived within 30 minutes in a beautiful Mercedes sedan. Due to our delay, he extended our tour and we saw the entire island. It was a fabulous day! George is so knowledgeable, kind, fun and entertaining. Thank you George for the wonderful memories. Kia was a great guide. She was knowledgeable and showed us great sights with wonderful information. The less star is from the fact that Santorini is just very crowded to get to the meeting place. And though we avoided crowded places on the tour, getting to the driver and leaving tainted the trip.
This tour was a good way to see some of Santorini's breathtaking scenery and highlights of the island's unique architecture and blue domed churches. Our tour guide George (00306939068227) met us at the top of the cable car exit and stopped at several places with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and to the Black Beach in Peruviols so we could take photos. George was a knowledgeable guide who provided us with options about places to stop or eat which made the tour more personal. Highly recommend this tour.

Our small group tour ended up being a private tour, since we were in Santorini at the very beginning of the season. No complaints here! Arthur was fantastic! He gave us a bit of history and info as we walked from site to site and was wonderful about showing us the perfect spots to take photos. The tour was a good pace and gave us the chance to see so much of the island. He answered any and all questions we had and showed genuine pride in living in Santorini and sharing it with us. We were a group of 7. And we extended the 5-hour tour to 6 hours. Our tour guide Maria was great. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and even a bit funny. The island was picturesque and calming. I took tons of photos. It was the best day of the 8 that we spent in Greece!

She even helped us customise the tour to include Akrotiri which we wanted to see, and brought us to the picture perfect spots, and the beautiful Perissa beach to collect volcanic stones! Great guide and driver. They were both very kind and friendly On this tour we were able to see all the highlights and Santorini is so beautiful!. Please be aware that even though you have a nice air conditioned van when touring Oia it will be on foot with big crowds and little shade. When I booked I didn’t realize there would be so much walking and was traveling with my mother who has mobility issues and is elderly. The guide was kind and patient with us. I chose this tour because of visiting the winery. I thought it would be fun and relaxing. However it turned out to be my least favorite part of the tour. Our nice guide was no longer with us and we were given a long winery tour standing in the heat and sun listening to a lot of wine production info. I was just wanting to drink wine! Anyway the wine guide was not very kind and told kids at our table on the tour the snacks were only for wine drinkers and was rude about it. No snacks for purchase were offered for the kids. Wine tour portion of tour just felt like a sales pitch to buy their wine not for enjoyment.
Had a wonderful tour of the island by a married couple who live there, Dimitris and Yota. He’s a great driver and she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Saw some beautiful views and learned some new things about the island (had been there before). Stopped at a lovely restaurant on the beach and had some local wine, tomato fritters and fried cheese….it was awesome! Someone in the van asked about a good ATM on the island? They even took us there to get some cash. Enjoyed the day with this fun couple! Thanks 😊

We had a marvelous experience on Santorini with tour guide, Daniel M Gurry. He was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and personable. As Americans, we enjoyed that we could understand his American English! Daniel was previously a history teacher so he is well versed and well spoken. He directed us through the crowds like a champ and we saw a lot in five hours time. I’m sorry that I don’t remember our drivers name but he was fabulous also. We highly recommend booking with Daniel. I think this tour with Yannis will be my favorite part of this entire vacation. We were panicking because it’s not easy to predict how long you’ll take getting up the cable cars from the cruise ships. Yannis was so wonderful in every way that I’m not sure how to not write a very longggg review. My daughters phone needed a phone charger, he stopped without hesitation to get one. Took us to an amazing stop for breathtaking pictures and we stopped for a nice lunch at Nobu. This allowed all the tour buses to take the masses to the area we were dying to see. It was less crowded for us in Oia as a result and it was everything we dreamed it to be. He knew the best photo spots, let us shop leisurely and then more touring to the monastery and wonderful tales of the island and its history. Best tour ever. Ask for Yannis, his easygoing manner mixed with interesting knowledge of Santorini makes us want to come back again… soon !!!
We had originally booked the Amal group tour which magically turned into a private tour for the two of us! Alex and Mary did such a wonderful job! We learned so much and enjoyed good food! We don’t drink wine or coffee due to religious and health reasons so they changed our itinerary for us to go to a seafood tavern which was wonderful! So grateful we booked with them.
Superb. Our guide (Janis) and our driver gave an excellent service and accommodated our group request to adapt the tour. Got all the major sites and a couple of hidden gems. Defo well with it.
Enjoyed walking through the old village. The monastery was okay but takes time to get to top for views. In the description, it stated "wine tasting" included but there was NO TASTING! Disappointing as wine is supposed to be one of the top things to do in Santorini.
Overall we loved our Santorini tour. Mary did a great job showing us around, pointing out good photo spots, local plants, restaurants and informing us of history and what we were seeing. We had a really good day. The reason we gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because they skipped the Prophet Elias stop saying “we did not have time” and then dropped us off after 4 1/2 hours - 30 minutes early from our 5 hour tour. The view from the top-the Prophet Elias Monastery was the stop I was most interested in and had asked about it a few times during the tour, and was the reason I chose this particular tour, so definitely disappointed in it being omitted and dropped off early.
Great opportunity to take a sweep around the island fairly thoroughly and quickly. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The places we stopped at was great IG pictures and beautiful backgrounds. I learned a lot
Sofia was our tour guide and she took us to the best picturesque spots in santorini. She knew the places with the best views and scenery. She was very sweet and kind and it was like spending the day with a good friend. We ended the day at a beautiful niche winery/art gallery and tried some delicious Greek wines. It was a perfect way to end the tour. Sofia was the best!!!!

Absolutely had the best time on this tour! Very worth it for the amount of places you get to see & incredible pictures without having to drive around on your own!! Nick, our tour guide, was so friendly and knowledgeable, he really personalized the experience. I wish we could have stayed a little longer in Oia to take pictures but at the same time it was so crowded when when we went it would have been very difficult. The wine tasting and monastery views were the highlights for me! Nick gave us great recommendations for food and coffee after the tour, ask for him if you can! Overall, I highly recommend!!!

Our favorite excursion for our cruise for sure! We got to see so much more of the island than we would have on our own. Our tour guide, Minas, was so nice and knowledgeable. We had a great time with him and the driver in between stops. The overall trip was well-run and easy, and there were only 4 of us on the trip excluding the guide and driver, which was very nice. I feel like we made the most of our day in Santorini because of this tour. Would highly recommend!

We feel that we got a good overview of Santorini so as to revisit areas of more interest and had great insight of local information. His ratings of Santorini wine was spot on. Really good trip the guide was very knowledgeable about the islands history and very friendly as was the driver. Good value only think I would say is we visited a couple of villages and it would have been good to even have half an hour in one or two to get a coffee or look around the shops.
