Sipping Assyrtiko In Santorini: Wineries, Lunch & Oia In One Day

My wife and I went on a wine tour with Christos all over Santorini and it was incredible! He arrived promptly at the designated time and place then gave us introductions. We discussed our plan of the day, things to visit, lunch time, and winery we were seeing. We were given the flexibility to choose whichever order we wanted and that if we wanted to do something different we could let him know. The car we were driven around in was a beautiful luxury sedan with a very nice interior and comfortable seats. Once on the trip, our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the entire island of Santorini, showing us the perfect picture spots, telling us the history of the island and how the island functions now with the tourism. He took great photos at every stop and took us to places that no one but a local would know for incredible views. He was a great driver who knew the ins and outs of the craziness that is the Santorini Roads. The lunch place we went to was right on the black beach and the food was phenomenal. Freshly caught fish and a huge wine selection (we had to hold off from that though because we had the winery next). The winery we went to, Artemis Karamolegos, was so nice. Christos walked us inside where the staff was already waiting for us with a table. We were given a tasting of 5 wines, 3 whites, a rosé, and a dessert wine. My wife who before this trip refused to drink any wine at all not only agreed to try a sip but actually liked them. The whites and dessert wine are unlike any other whites you’ll have from outside of Santorini. And the Rosé tasted like peaches! If you need a way to have a tour of Santorini we could not recommend anyone else except for Santorini Pickups!

Fanny was fantastic, very knowledgeable about our wine tasting tour. Our other driver, Christian, was great as well. I would highly recommend both people, they made our trip a great memory.

We had a great experience for the winery tour during our honeymoon. Our driver was Elias and he was very friendly, knowledgeable about the Greek history and very flexible with our needs. He went the extra mile for us to have a great time and do as much as we could during the time of the tour. We ended up hiring him again for our transfer to the ferry port the next day. Very recommended!!

Had an amazing private tour with Fanny who was incredibly knowledgeable about wine as well as very friendly and professional, and a great driver. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else, we had an absolute blast. Snacks were plentiful enough to count as dinner.

This was the perfect activity to do on our honeymoon! Pickup was easy and service at the wineries were excellent. The wines and food were all delicious and our your guide Nicoletta was absolutely amazing. She is such a genuine person and made sure we had everything we needed and even provided us with some history about Santorini in between destinations. My husband accidentally dropped his wallet in the backseat and she made sure to return it to us immediately when she found it (we hadn’t even noticed). 10/10 experience. Thank you Nicoletta! We feel so lucky to have met you!

Our driver Elias was great! He gave us some history of Santorini and drove us to some perfect picture taking spots after the wine tour. We were hungry, so he recommended the perfect seafood spot where we were treated like royalty. We definitely recommended this tour.

The wine tour was incredible. Elias was our driver. He went above and beyond. He was so knowledgeable and really wanted us to enjoy our time. He brought us to his favorite sunset spot and even took amazing pictures of us!

We couldn't have imagined anything better for our stay in Santorini. We were picked up at the ferry port by Nikos and immediately were on the way to 2 wineries. The wineries were gorgeous and everything was explained so well. We were able to try a wine, Vinsanto, that is unlike any other wine we've tried. Nikos was so accommodating and the most informative tour guide we have ever had. So easy to talk to and a wonderful man. He then took us to Oia for sunset and took the best photos of us we have from our trip to Greece. He gave so many recommendations!! Can't thank him enough.

We had an incredible experience. Our driver, George, picked us up and took us to two different wineries. The wineries were fantastic. We enjoyed the wines, the small snacks and the view that came with it. The people at the winery were both very friendly and knowledgeable. To top all of it off George took us to a stunning sunset. It made our whole trip. I can not recommend this tour and George enough! Both our driver and the winery were all english speaking!

Elias was truly wonderful! We had a group that included a 14 month old. She was worn out from all the travel. Elias was SO patient and flexible with our group. He iws a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate. I know he wanted to share so much more with us so we would love to return without a little one. Thank you, Elias!

We had a fabulous time with our wine tasting in Thera. We got to sample many different wines, taste tomatoes from the vine, eat the best baklava on the island and see the sunset from the highest peak on the island. Our guide, Elias gave us great history and context about Thera in between stops.

I 100% recommend this amazing tour if you visit Santorini! Nik, my guide was just brilliant.. He was so friendly and so knowledgeable throughout the tour. He answered all of my questions. The wine and food were absolutely fabulous and the transportation was very comfortable and clean. It was a wonderful day and definitely the highlight of my time in Santorini.

Had a great time, Fivos took us around the island and gave us a great history tour. We had a shared interest in music and comedy so it worked out great! After that we went to the winery and tasted 7 wines, very beautiful and fun experience!

We had a great experience on this wine tour thanks to our wonderful guide Nikos. He drove us to three fantastic wineries and explained the history of wine-making on Santorini with a lot of humour. The tour ended with a very nice dinner with Greek specialities. If you are on Santorini and like wine this tour is a must-do.
