Fantastic experience. Beautiful photos with an amazing view. Unfortunately, I had an asthma attack but the guys were super quick to respond and a car came to collect me very quickly. Sorry for the trouble. I’m fine now. Thank you
Really good tour, horses are well cared for. Beautiful views. Zimis was a great guide. I would recommend
First problem: the booking asked, speaking language but the guide did not speak English; we used google translate to communicate when possible. We're beginner level but able to ride however, the guide (poor guy)walked us through town pulling the horses and pointing to things. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell us what they were in English. Lol. I offered to end the ride but he did not want to that. At one point we had to lay close to the Horse to avoid a low bridge. These poor animals are not in the best of conditions (dirty, smelly, worn) and there was something all over the Horse that made this even more gross. I canceled my plans and rushed back to the hotel to shower before doing anything else. The guide gave us the service so earned the money spent but definitely was not the experience we'd hoped for.
Avery enjoyable short ride to the edge of the cliff overlooking the caldera...the perfect spot for those scenic pictures of Santorini
The sunset was beautiful and food was very tasty. The guides made us feel at home and have great conversations
The horses were lovely and the guide took lots of beautiful photos for me on the horse. It was a great way to explore part of the village Megalachori which is very pretty so make sure you leave time to walk around after your ride.
Definitely recommend. Awesome communication. They even set up a taxi for us. Beautiful ride. Horses were so good and calm.
It was a small 50 mins horse ride. The horse don't gallop or trot they just walk calmly. A little overrpiced. Couldn't get sunset pictures of caldera as the horses are not well trained to stay still. Our guide Jimmy was good
Great experience! It was well worth the money. The guide didn't know a lot of English, but he was very friendly.
We had great fun on our horse riding experience, we were shown all the local sights and places to go. A must if staying in Megalochori
It was so fun and exciting. Our guide, George was very accommodating. He made sure that we are very comfortable with the horses. We rode all over, the stopped on top of the cliff to watch the sunset. We had such a great time. Would definitely recommend!
This was the perfect experience. Beautiful town, beautiful views. Our guide was so kind and informative. I am not super comfortable on a horse but enjoyed every minute because of our guide.
The company/guide was very late. I waited 45 mins at the pick up spot and though they were friendly, they weren’t apologetic. We went in a circle on the horses down a few alleys to see lots of airbnbs and hotels. Nice scenery. Took a couple pictures. Horse riding lasted 30 mins literally and we were finished.
A peaceful ride through the city, ending with a great view of the island. The guide took wonderful pictures and it was a memorable experience! Riding horses in Santorini should definitely be on your bucket list.
It was neat to get off our feet for a while and enjoy the horses. We enjoyed seeing another town. The guides took us to a beautiful overlook of the caldera.
Great experience. They were extremely accommodating. We were running late and they found a time that worked for us both.
Good trip. The guides didn’t speak a word of English, and the horses were fine. Much of the trip was through alleys.
We took a tour around the small village of megalochori, its a nice village, at the end we went to a point where you can see a breathtaking view of the volcano and thira. I recommend going at the evening so it wont be so hot and the animals wouldnt suffer the hot weather (we took the tour at 19:00) , the guide was very nice and friendly, he took pictures of us. There was a little issue with the payment, i booked via trip advisor and payed by credit card but the guide expected cash ,they dont speak english fluently so i didnt really understand) For summary, go for it!
We had a little trouble finding the stables since there’s not really a sign for it, just signs that point you in that direction, but once we found it, it ended up being a fun and private way to see the beautiful little old town of Megalochori! My mom who is 63 had a blast, and we both loved how healthy the horses looked as well as how good they were. It was just us and our guide, but he knew little back roads to get us to the view of the caldera which was absolutely stunning! We weren’t sure what to make of it at first, but this experience has definitely been a highlight of our trip. Would highly recommend!
Super friendly people and the trip was awesome. We were running a bit late due to Uber drop off at wrong location, the operator was patient enough to explain and help us to find the right place. Still manage to get the tour running 20 mins behind.
We had a wonderful experience horse riding here. Everyone was friendly, ensured we were safe and were devoted to ensure we got a good picture by the stunning sunset! Great views and would 100% recommend to come here!!
We had a fantastic time on our horseriding experience. Our guide was very patient and helpful. I would highly recommend
I thought the tour would be in English, but no just no talking just pictures. Also the cabs hagled with everyone. They should figure out the pick up the cab driver was a horrible experience.
Really friendly they gave us cold bottled water and took pictures for us .overall a great experience
Very nice tutor, beautiful horses, love the view, everything was really really good, we enjoyed so much. Definitely need to try
We had so much fun, the views were incredible, the horses were well behaved, the instructors stayed with us the entire time which really helped our nervous group members.
This horse riding excursion was unfortunately disappointing. I am an experienced rider and have done these sorts of rides in several countries, and I’m also a solo traveler, so it was just me and the guide. But starting from the first impression- the place is not easy to find, has no marked door, no office, and I had to flag down someone, who then had to find someone else, to then call the person who would be my guide to meet me. I was not offered a bathroom or water. There was hardly any talking at all from my guide, who I’m not sure even spoke English very well. We did ride through the town to the caldera. Once there, the horse is trained to pose against the background, facing the camera, and wouldn’t turn around, so I didn’t even get a view of the caldera in the literal 90 seconds we spent there before turning right back around. My guide barely even said goodbye to me as I got off the horse, and just walked away. It was pretty boring, as I didn’t get any commentary from my guide about the town. I will say the experience was as described, but would not recommend. This was the least fun activity of my trip, which is a shame because I love riding.
the views were amazing and great guide. he asked about experience and let the more experience rider do his thing which he really liked. Would definitely recommend
Absolutely amazing horse ride and great guides. Just note that there is little shade and just be clear about timing. But everyone was suer friendly and helpful and we felt absolutely safe on the horses! Thank you so much for a wonderful time!
I thought we would be taught how to ride the horses independently, but instead were led on the tour. It was a nice tour and the views of the caldera were stunning, though I think they led us dangerously close to the edge. There were several times we felt our horses might slip off.
My mom and I really enjoyed the relaxing ride through the pretty village of Megalochori! Shout out to our amazing guide Babi for showing us around and taking lots of great photos for us 🦋
The guide was friendly and informative and the views were spectacular! Highly recommend to anyone that wants an off the track tour.
First time riding a horse and he made me feel ok to be comfortable. The view was nice. It was great!
Well cared for horses. Nice guys running it. Nice in the morning in May. Would be hot in the afternoon in the summer.
This was one of the best experiences on Santorini. They guides were great and they took us to a beautiful cliff overlooking the water! Good for those with no experience on a horse.
Although I am terrified of riding a horse, I still decided to do it. The tour guide made me feel safe, confident and kept pointing me at places and teaching about all the trip. Thanks 😊
Our guide was very nice! You get to see Santorini through a different perspective instead of the busy streets in the more crowded areas. Very beautiful and serene!
Wonderful experience to wander around town. Beginner friendly. Highly recommend! Will not disappoint.
Good on the whole, and represents in my opinion better value than alternative horse riding experiences. Perfect length of time for us, 1 hour riding. Slightly tucked out of the way, and a bit tricky to drive to the place with our hire car as narrow roads near the stables. Only reason why I have given only three stars as is despite asking there were no helmets available even for our 7 years old.
The views were stunning and old Megalochori is definitely worth the tour. The guide was very friendly and even helped take pictures
The horse riding was good but they can improve by adding a bit of room for recording. Having a recorded bit of the horse riding would have been more appropriated
This was my first time riding a horse, however our instructor was reassuring and the horses were very well tempered and trained. The experience included myself, one friend and one instructor and so ensured a good ratio if it is your first time. Although it is an activity Santorini can be quite windy and so I would recommend wearing a coat of jumper in the cooler off peak season.
Great riding experience! Our guide/ owner was very accommodating and showed us some beautiful views where he took pictures for us on our horses. We would recommend this experience to anyone. Horses were well taken care of.
This Horseback riding experience was absolutely amazing! The guide was very personal and taught us all about the culture we were riding through. We felt safe the whole trip. Stunning view of the caldera for the halfway point. Great for beginners and people that ride! Would recommend and return 100%!
The experience was great. Our guide Took some beautiful photos for us. Truly one of the best way to explore santorini
Relax house riding with great views. The guide was very helpful explaining the areas. Recommended for a relax time.
This was a great experience. Google maps will bring you to a good parking lot, you will walk down a hill, take a left and see a fenced in area with horses. That's the spot! Easy to find. The guides were both very friendly, made sure that everyone was comfortable with their horses. A slow walk through the town, out to a beautiful cliff, and at 4pm an amazing sunsite.
It was such an amazing experience. Bobbi was so nice and social he made the experience so great. The horses are beautiful and treated so well. Must try!
This was a really fun way to see some of the city. Our guide was excellent and had some amazing places picked out where he took photos for us. We got to oversee the whole island and volcano from horseback and had a very pleasant ride
