My husband and I had a wonderful day exploring Santorini. We were able to choose our own priorities to visit, not just follow an organised tour. Joanne was a wonderful host, with lots of stories about the places we were visiting as well as Greek history, language and culture. The whole experience was well-organised and stress-free. Would recommend.

Itinerary
Our usual first stop is the picturesque village of Oia, a place of unmatched beauty and tranquility. Built on the slope of the Caldera, it is truly the quintessence of what Santorini has to offer: glorious skies meeting endless blue seas, traditional Cycladic houses along idyllic footpaths and an entirely immersive atmosphere – a generously rewarding experience for the visitor.
Another stop on this tour is Firostefani, the ‘crown of Fira’. Taking its name from its elevated position, this settlement is blessed with truly breathtaking views of the island. This location is also home to the Blue Domed Church, a prominent icon of the island of Santorini.
The authentic old settlement of Megalochori, the ‘big village’, awaits visitors with its warm and inviting atmosphere. Dating back to the 17th century, it is one of the most picturesque villages of the island featuring historical mansions with inner courtyards, traditional architecture and pirate hideaways.
And how can someone not visit Emporio. Once the center of commercial activity, it is the largest settlement of Santorini with a definite medieval flavor and well-preserved traditional houses. The heart of the village boasts Emporio Kastelli, the best-preserved castle on the island. Enjoy a walk through the charming narrow streets and don’t forget to visit the churches.
Black Beach, or Perissa, is actually the end of the long black sand beach of Perivolos and, it is the busiest and most famous beach in Santorini. After enjoying the clear waters and impressive black sand, we shall try the local specialties available at the many seaside restaurants.
Standing true to its name, the distinctive Red Beach features a remarkably imposing odd formation of red volcanic rock dramatically contrasting the magnificent blue of the sea – a truly unique sight to behold.
Here is one of the most significant prehistoric settlements of the Aegean. Akrotiri had developed into a major city before it was covered in ash by volcanic eruptions. However, the ash has preserved structures and their contents allowing the visitor to marvel at this wonder of antiquity.
The island is also famous for its wine-making tradition. This private tour makes a stop at Venetsanos Wineryand allows the visitor to seize the opportunity to try the splendid local varieties Santorini is famous for.
The museum is truly one of a kind: a 300-meter labyrinth shaped cave, 8 meters under the ground, it is an exhibition of the history of local wine and the life of vine-growers since 1660! A wealth of artefacts, images and representations will take the visitor on an amazing journey through the history of winemaking in Santorini.
Perched on the summit of the highest mountain of the island (600 meters above sea) and dating back to 1711, it is a place of great historical interest and indeed a rewarding one in terms of stunning views beyond description.
At about 300 meters above sea level, Imerovigli is very often referred to as the "balcony of the Aegean" and it definitely lives up to this name by offering a most spectacular view of the Aegean sunset. Other highlights are the many churches in typical Cycladic architecture, especially the church of Ai-Stratis and the Monastery of St. Nikolaos, as well as Skaros Rock which features the remains of a medieval fortress.
Pyrgos Village exhibits all the magic of Santorini and trademark panoramic views of both sides of the island but also retains features of the Venetian rule. The traditional Cycladic houses and paths surround the old Venetian castle, offering the best of both worlds and making Pyrgos Village a place not to be missed.
Please keep in mind that this tour is customized and that there will be approximately 3-7 stops in the private tour that you will book. Above you will find in the programme 11 suggestions for the places you can visit and together with your guide you can craft an itenerary that suits your interests better. If you choose the 3 hours it will be approximately 3 stops . On a 4 hours, 4 stops on 5 hours 5 stops, and on 6 around 6 stops, and on 7 around 7 stops. Always depends on your wishes and the traffic jam. We can customise the tour as you want it on your needs.

George was brilliant. He took us ways that bypassed crowds. We saw everything we could want in ways only an experienced local could.
We visited Santorini on a cruise ship, on a hot busy July port day (4 ships in), with two kids aged 9 and 7. Our guide Joanna was amazing, super knowledgable and great with the kids, the vehicle was a luxury van and the driver navigated the chaotic traffic well. The tour was customised to what we wanted to see, and Joanna helped us skip the crowds and queues in many locations. She also included several less known stops that felt more authentic, while also providing fantastic views and memories (along with obligatory ice cream when you're travelling with kids!). Highly recommend this tour and our guide Joanna.
Professional outstanding service. The owner is easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and very responsive. They are flexible with timings if you want to stay longer /shorter in a location, they offer good advice about destinations and about places to visit. Drivers are all friendly, safe and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company. A very personalised service.
Excellent tour, very informative and knowledgeable about the island and very friendly as well, we had a great time and are really happy we made the decision to do this tour it was very worth it and comfortable, we were able to choose what we wanted to see and learned a great deal
Sara is fine, but the shop she takes us to is more expensive than the other shop that I purchased. She may need to aware of this. The price is almost double high.
Antonia and Electra were two fabulous tour guides. Electra was really knowledgeable and took the time to show us all around santorini. She was really accomodating, made us feel safe and showed us all the beautiful places on the Island. It is really reassuring knowing we were in safe hands, were able to see all the places we wanted to see and more. I would highly reccomend this tour. I wish Electra all the best and thank her for making our visit to Santorini one we will never forget. Much Love Sarah and CC
The entire experience was wonderful. We were able to customize the ride with the sites that we were most interested in seeing. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the island and its history as well.
Thanks to our guide Sara, our tour of Santorini was a charming and unforgettable experience. She showed us beautiful places without many tourists and helped us take beautiful photos. We are very grateful that she showed us the beauties of Santorini.
Joanna was an amazing guide. So informative and relatable. Joanna tailored our tour to exactly what we wanted and guided us where to purchase souvenirs that were not over priced as we could get exactly the same item for a lot less.
Excellent, professional, punctual
We had a great trip getting to see Santorini with our guide Joanna and driver Tonia. The tour was customized so we saw what we wanted to, including Oia, black sand beach, red sand beach, and a great winery Venetsanos. The excursion also included several less known stops that provided fantastic views and memories. We highly recommend this tour and our guides.
Joanna and Spiros were fantastic the van was so comfortable. There was a lot of walking Joanna took it at our pace and asked what we wanted to see and do I showed her a few photos of different locations on the island I wanted to see. Joanna knew exactly where they were, we requested coffee and to have lunch with local food all was delivered. Thank you Joanna and Spiros for making our day totally unforgettable.
We had an amazing guided tour of Santorini with Sara and Stelios. The experience was very personal, thoughtful, and rich in details. It was much more than just seeing the famous views. For anyone who wants to understand Santorini beyond the obvious postcard image, this tour offers a deeper look into the island’s culture, history, landscape, and everyday life. Sara and Stelios shared stories and insights that made the experience feel authentic and meaningful. It was a beautiful way to connect not only with the place, but also with the people and the soul of Santorini.
We were on a 6 hour tour with Sara. Sara was a wonderful tour guide! She asked us what we wanted to see and of course we said the views. Sara knew all of the gorgeous views! We saw a bit of Fira, Oia, and several smaller villages. We had lunch at a local restaurant at the black sand beach which was delicious, especially the fresh fish!

Sara was one of the best guides ever. You must request her if you can. The tour is long and well worth the money. They will tailor to your desires. We wanted the local experience and stayed away from the super busy tourist spots. It was fantastic. We did go the 41 for lunch and that was a must do!! Overall fantastic day!
Our tour guide did a wonderful job filling in the gaps of the history and culture of Santorini that we missed during other experiences. Sarah also brought us to see areas that we had not seen on our Catamaran tour or by other explorations. She recommended a great wine tasting experience as well.
very nice experience wit Stelios (drive) and Electra (guide). We viste lot a very nice place in Santorini. thank you !
Or good for the private tour was Joanna. She was lovely and full of information. She steered us to good places, to eat and shop. The price was fair. Wish we had a bit more time with her.
Great Spanish tour in Santorini with Maria. Visited 4 sites and a local eatery. Tour guide picked us at the hotel in Oia.
Sara and Stelios were great guides who customized our experience to our preferences. They were attentive and made sure we had the best experience!
Stelios and his team provided excellent and prompt service for us during our trip to Santorini. The vehicles used were clean and big enough for a group of 12 ( we were 5 on this trip) They also helped with recommendations for the tours, dinners, wine tasting, etc. Even when the weather was bad, they pivoted and did what they could to make sure we could still see the city. I would recommend Santorini tours to anyone traveling to the island.
We had a wonderful private tour for eight of us in an extended family. Maria and Stelios were a perfect combination. We had a varied age group and they were able to find activities suitable and educational for all ages.
This is a great tour of the entire island of Santorini. I would highly recommend the tour to all! Our driver and guide were terrific!
Absolutely lovely time today with Maria as our amazing guide/storyteller and Stelio as the navigator. What a surprise find during the off season and had such a wonderful time. They even found us when we went to the wrong meeting point. Would highly, highly recommend and would book them again! Thank you for such a memorable experience.
My partner and I had such a magical day with George! When he picked us up from our hotel we spent about 10-15 minutes planning our day. He was very knowledgeable about the island and had so many suggestions for us. We had an idea of how we wanted to spend the day but his input truly elevated the experience! We packed so much into our 6 hours but it never felt rushed. When one of the wineries we wanted to visit was closed for the season he made a call and got us a last minute reservation at a different winery that ended up being so much more special than we expected. I can’t recommend him and this tour enough!
Our private tour was incredible! Our time in Santorini was limited and our six hour guided tour around the island was informative and educational and George was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour.
We spent a great day in Santorini with George! While we visited Oia which is a must go to in Santorini, I also feel like we got to see a lot of things off the beaten path that we wouldn't have been able to experience with a big group and George was very knowledgeable of the area! George also got us reservations at a nice restaurant in town where we could eat and see the sunset before getting back on our ship. For the price, this was 100% worth it!
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend. The destinations that our tour guide selected far exceeded our expectations.
I have used this company twice I. The past and it was excellent. Joey this time was terrible because Essie did not get what we paid for and was outlined in the website. We were four people and booked a 8 hour tour with the guide. We only got a driver and no guide!!! We got a guide in the past. The driver George asked us what we wanted to do/go. If it is your first time you have no idea. He was more like an uber driver and dropped us off at various locations with no guidance. This was a very expensive ride!! I reached out to the company afterwards and they gave a lame excuse that sometimes they do t have a guide. Sorry but this is NOT WHAT I PAID 520 Euros for. When George showed up I could have refused the tour but they already had my 80euro deposit and I had only one day to do the tour. Beware bait and switch at the last minute.
Rather than doing a cruise excursion we found it was a better deal for the 6 of us to hire a private tour - we did the 4 hour "highlights" tour and it is highly recommended! Joanna was a great guide and the van was so nice and comfortable. We visited Oia, a couple stops for photo ops and then to Pyrgos where she suggested a Kantouni which was a wonderful place for lunch (my favorite on the trip!). We did have a couple of older people with some mobility issues with us. I had hoped that being in a small tour we could have avoided any "extra" walking, but we were dropped off in the same parking lot as the cruise busses in Oia. Just something to note. I will add that they did pick us up at a closer location, which was much appreciated!!
We booked a 6 hour private tour and could not have been happier! George ( our driver) was absolutely amazing. He was prompt, friendly and very informative. The Mercedes van was fantastic! He went out of his way to make sure we saw all the things Santorini has to offer - from popular tourist attractions to hidden gems. He gave us tips and suggestions as we explored Santorini. We appreciated how helpful he was and we really enjoyed getting to know him! We could have easily spent several more hours with him. It was definitely the highlight of our 12 day adventure around Italy and Greece. Seriously-we rave about that trip and George every chance we get! Don’t hesitate to book this excursion- the entire process was smooth and communication was wonderful!
Our driver is very good, he took us around the Santorini for sightseeing and showed us the nice photos spots !
Joanna was a great host for the day. Genuine person who was enjoyable to spend time with. We loved the places we visited. The car was luxurious Perfect day, great pacing.
Our guide was Stelios. We really enjoyed his company. He was quiet, and I do not mean that in a bad way. It was nice to have a guide that listened instead of talking all the time. He was very knowledgable about the island and its history and people. He was very attentive to our needs and our requests. He showed us everything we wanted to see and more. If you want an enjoyable day with an exceptional guide. Ask for Stelios.
Need to be physically able to get to cable car and tour van … law enforcement Won’t let vans near Cable car exit Driver and tour guide are extremely knowledgeable and friendly .. will suggest tour to your needs and interests.. easy to understand and fun to be with
The tour was good, and we enjoyed some truly amazing views. We were able to see the entire island, which made the experience very encompassing. The transportation was clean and comfortable. However, we would have preferred the guide to be more engaging and share more insights about what we were seeing. We also had an uncomfortable experience with a crowd at a well-known site, and it would have been helpful if she had navigated and explained the situation more effectively.
Nikki was awesome in every way! We had an incredible experience and she was very knowledgeable about Santorini history and culture. We told her we were interested in a few specific places to include shopping and stopping at a grocery store and they did it all for us! Thank you Nikki for such a memorable day!
We are a group of 9 friends, were looking to experience the island and Joanna delivered! Went to Oia before all the crowds flooded in, had a delicious lunch in a local traditional town, and patronized all the workshops in Megalochori.
Thanks to Joanna who has shown us both the well-known scenic spots and some less tourist locations around Santorini which made our day full of lovely memories!
Everyone should have George as their private guide! He knew every inch of the island and how to easily navigate us to everything we wanted to see. We enjoyed our stop for beverages. Easily one of the best tours of our two and a half week trip. Highly recommend this informative, relaxing, and satisfying tour. Thank you George!
We did a 6 hour private tour in Santorini, where we were provided our stops to choose from. Our guide, Joanna, was incredible and shared a ton of local knowledge with us, as well as helping to point out the more traditional local villages. She was happy to suggest photo spots and take pictures for us, and we so enjoyed spending the day with her and our driver, Angelo. It was great to have a custom tour we could choose the spots on, where we enjoyed the Wine Museum and wine tasting, as well as the "Pompeii of Santorini" archeological site, as well as several local villages, castles, monasteries. We got such an incredible overview of the island and couldn't recommend this tour or Joanna enough.
We had a fantastic tour of Santorini with George. He customized the tour after speaking with us about our interests while on Santorini, we really appreciate the fact that we could customize the tour. He gave us suggestions to make the trip as best as possible. We enjoyed all our stops, especially the trip to the winery. We wish we had more time but learned that Santorini was an island we’d like to return and spend more time. The van ride was very comfortable and water was provided multiple times.
loanna was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, flexible and very friendly. She really made our tour so enjoyable and we would highly recommend her. We were a group of 6 and she catered for us all. The driver Angelo was fantastic too.
We had a wonderful time with George during our trip. He was a fantastic driver with a great knowledge about the area and the skill to quickly understand our requirement. He is the best!
Great way to see Santorini. Very worth the money. Very comfortable transport. The tour guide was knowledgeable and spoke great english.
Ioanna was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, flexible and very friendly. She really made our tour so enjoyable and we would highly recommend her. We were a group of 6 and she catered for us all. The driver Angelo was fantastic too.
Our tour guide George was fantastic. He took his time providing detailed information of all sites. We highly recommend this for travelers that want to see the best of Santorini
5/5 Santorini in peak season was madness ! Had we not booked this trip, we would have gone back to the boat George was there to pick us up and design the day based on his experience and our tastes. The entire day was fantastic thanks to George ! Do yourself a favour and book this tour. PS. Animal welfare: poor donkeys carrying people up 600 plus stairs and had NO water in 35 plus heat. Shout out to cruise who also raised animal welfare concerns ! Come on Greece…… you are making so much money from tourists; look after your animals !
