This private wine tour was one of the most enjoyable parts of the Santorini trip. Visiting three different wineries gave the day a nice variety, with excellent wines, generous snacks, and beautiful settings along the way. Elias was knowledgeable about both the local wines and the island, and everything felt relaxed rather than rushed. The final winery was especially memorable, with an incredible sunset that made the experience feel even more special. The price was on the higher side, but the quality, food, wine, and overall experience made it feel well worth it.

Itinerary
Since the time of Byzantium, Imerovigli, one of the most impressive villages of Santorini, has stood on the highest point of the caldera. It is believed that the early settlement of Skaros was built in 1207 by the Venetian James Varotsi, who was granted Santorini after the conquest of Constantinople by the Crusaders in 1204. The modern village towers over an impressive volcano about 300 meters above sea level. It is about 3 km northwest of Fira on the road to Oia. In addition to the paved road, the village is connected to the capital of Santorini by a path offering endless views of the unique volcanic landscape. Since Imerovigli is a preserved traditional settlement, the architectural style of the buildings remains unchanged. The buildings are mainly Cycladic and mainly local Fira. Today, Imerovigli is one of the most developed tourist destinations in Santorini, with first-class hotels, restaurants, and other shops visited by tens of thousands worldwide annually.
Estate Argyros is one of the island's peaks, with a long tradition in the cultivation and winemaking of Assyrtiko. Argyros Assyrtiko is a "quiet" power between ASSYRTIKO, the island, with excellent balance and an impressive and delightful acidity-like aftertaste that will not go away. Many outstanding awards and recognitions abroad promised a miraculous way to try to exacerbate the extroversion of the estate. Argyros is also used to make a delicious Aydani wine, and their ruby-red Mavrotragano received 93/100 Parker points in Wine Advocate. Taste the four different glasses of wine at the second-biggest winery in Santorini. Taste the four different glasses of wine at the second-biggest winery in Santorini.
Artemis Karamolegos Winery, rooted in the volcanic vineyards of Santorini and having a tradition of winemaking since 1952, is one of the most dynamic and rapidly developing wineries in Santorini. All his wines have been awarded at major international wine competitions. The winery has the most modern winemaking equipment, particular wine-tasting areas, a wine shop, and selected local products.
Anhydrous Cellar Door is located in Fira. Its story began in early 2000 when winemaker Apostolos Mountrichas of Avantis Estate Winery in Evia fell in love with Santorini and the strong personality of Assyrtiko. In 2012, he returned to Santorini for the winemaking of the best indigenous variety. Its philosophy is based on wines with purity, primary varietal characteristics, and balance that reflect the connection with the anhydrous soil of Santorini, the majesty of the land, the volcano, the sun, the sea breeze, the Cycladic air – the intense personality of this unique PDO land.

The experience of the private tour in Santorini with Top Santorini Tours was simply amazing. Along with the well-known popular spots, we were also shown some lesser-known, hidden beauties, which made the whole day even more special for us. Our guide Themis was very sincere and humble. Throughout the tour, she provided a lot of information about Santorini, and went out of her way to help us capture beautiful moments of our family at each place — which will be priceless memories for us. The extra care and compassion she showed to my mother while climbing the steep and high stairs was truly touching. Her warm hospitality, deep knowledge, and meticulous attention to detail made the entire tour seamless and meaningful. I highly recommend this private tour service to anyone who wants to experience Santorini in its truest form, in a relaxed and premium way.
About 3 hours total - the wineries are very close to each other so not much travel time involved. Opportunities to purchase wine after each tasting but no pressure either. Our driver Nicholas was a local who was proud to share the history of Santorini as we traveled.
After being scammed by another company, we were extremely stressed, especially while traveling with a child. That’s when truly came to our rescue like a blessing. We booked the package, and from the beginning their team was incredibly professional, flexible, and supportive. Our guide George especially made the entire experience smooth and comfortable. Even without an airport kiosk, they arranged vehicle pickup directly from the airport, which helped us a lot. What impressed us most was their support during a difficult situation involving a possible missed flight — they stayed in contact the entire time and continued helping us without hesitation. The quality of service was outstanding, and the pricing was far more reasonable compared to many other providers. For families looking for reliable and genuinely caring service in Santorini, I highly recommend them.
Muriel was our guide and was very knowledgeable. We had a great time at the 3 winery’s despite the cool temps and some rain!

These were really amazing, high quality , very unique wines. The wineries were all high quality with really interesting tours. Loved it - ask for George to be your guide! He will take great care of you and you will get special treatment
Tour was fun and informative. Got to see the smallest, largest and newest wineries near Fira. Lots of wine tastings and great snacks. Was a nice way to engage with other travelers. Driver and guide were wonderful.
We had a great time touring the vineyards and meeting some wonderful people. Unfortunately it was foggy so the sunset was not visible but we had a chance to see it at other times so it really didn’t matter to us. Overall it was a great experience
This experience was perfect for us! Since November is after the tourist season, our tour was very personalized with only one other couple besides us. Mary was our tour guide, and she was great - very knowledgeable and fun. The tour took us to 3 vineyards: the largest in Santorini, the third largest, and the smallest. The smallest (Art Winery) was so welcoming, and they clearly know Mary well which made for an even more enjoyable experience for us. We would highly recommend this tour - it's a great way to learn about Santorini, see more of the island, and of course drink good wine!
This was a great tour including travel to 3 different wineries! Our driver Alex was great and our guide Andrew was very informative!
Andreas was a fantastic host. We really enjoyed the tour, the history of the island and of course the lovely wine. Would definitely recommend.
Excellent wine tasting tour of three gorgeous Santorini vineyards expertly led by sommelier Andrew. Fascinating history and geological data about the area and Greece’s wine industry. Stunning sunset views from Venetsanos Winery. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and the tour. We highly recommend.
We have done two tours with the agency a wine and food tour as well as the north tour with a guide. Both tours exceeded out expectations and we were very pleased with the tour guide’s flexibility and how well the tour was adapted to the customer’s needs. During the north tour the guide and the driver were kind enough to organize a dinner at a beautiful cliff side restaurant as we wanted to eat a slightly more local and authentic seafood restaurant recommended by locals. The guide was very knowledgeable and had very high expertise on the island. The wine and food tour was equally as lovely we learned more about the local wine making culture and had a nice dinner at a local taverna. Highly recommend!
Couldn't be better. I did two tours with this company and every single details was amazing. As a professional tourism journalist and as a lover of good experiences when you travel, I highly recommend this tour. Literal, a delicious way of tasting Santorini and understand the amazing geographical point of this island for their winery production. A lovely tour for families, friends, couples, or solo. The staff, rockstars!!
I had amazing day with my girlfriend! Very friendly and informative! Took amazing photos of us at the last winery! Very fun and great wine! Definitely recommend. Jacob & Libby
