Our guide George met us at the top of the cable car exit as promised. There were only two ships in port that day so we had no wait and were up top by 915 am. George knows Santorini well and took us to all the highlights and recomended a great place on the beach for lunch. Before we went back to the ship he took us to a winery with a spectacular view of the mountains and water below where we enjoyed a glass of wine before going back to the ship. This tour is great would recomend to for anyone who has never been to Santorini before and wants to see allot in a matter of five hours or so.

Itinerary
Our usual first stop is the picturesque village of Oia, a place of unmatched beauty and tranquility. Built on the slope of the Caldera, it is truly the quintessence of what Santorini has to offer: glorious skies meeting endless blue seas, traditional Cycladic houses along idyllic footpaths and an entirely immersive atmosphere – a generously rewarding experience for the visitor.
Another stop on this tour is Firostefani, the ‘crown of Fira’. Taking its name from its elevated position, this settlement is blessed with truly breathtaking views of the island. This location is also home to the Blue Domed Church, a prominent icon of the island of Santorini.
The authentic old settlement of Megalochori, the ‘big village’, awaits visitors with its warm and inviting atmosphere. Dating back to the 17th century, it is one of the most picturesque villages of the island featuring historical mansions with inner courtyards, traditional architecture and pirate hideaways.
Black Beach, or Perissa, is actually the end of the long black sand beach of Perivolos and, it is the busiest and most famous beach in Santorini. Here you take 1 hour free time to eat or swim.

Fabulous tour, wonderful guide, beautiful views, expert knowledge. Had a wonderful day visiting Fira, Oia, Megalochori, Perissa Beach, and Venetsanos winery, George went above and beyond and made sure we got the most out of all the places we visited. Would highly recommend.
Best experience it was just my group so it felt private and customized to what we wanted. Tzina was a great guide and made us feel welcome and our driver spyros drove smooth and took us to our next stop in santorini
Loved being in a small group—just two families. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Her lunch recommendation was the best!
We had a private tour in a new and comfortable vehicle. We saw all the island highlights, finishing with an excellent lunch at the beautiful Venetsanos Winery. Very enjoyable experience and memory of the island.
What a great day with Kenzie and Alex! So incredibly knowledgeable and so funny! We toured all over the island, seeing all of the sights and getting the most beautiful pictures! At the end of the day, we had an excellent lunch on the coast! This is a must do for Santorini! 10/10!
Fantastic tour. Sarah, our guide was lovely and patient with us taking into account the various needs of the group.
The driver was really nice, pleasant, knowledgeable and very courteous. Jorge helped us carry our bags, so sweet
Sara was great! It was such a fun and awesome tour! Our drivers were the best as well!
Sarah made us feel at ease and accommodated to the special needs of my partner who had mobility issues. They stowed his wheelchair in the van. They problem solved terrain that would make it easy for him to navigate We appreciate it so much. Plus she directed us to “correct “ stores to shop for souvenirs. Spiros expertly navigated the narrow winding streets. I will recommend this duo again.
Sarah and Spiros were amazing throughout the tour. Really enjoyed our time in Santorini!
The best driver Johnny made our vacation even better, definitely will be back & recommend it 100%.
Maria & Stelios were fantastic! The communication with them prior to the tour was quick and easy. We were met at the cable car with umbrellas to protect us from the rain, the car was immaculate and both of them were friendly. Maria's stories were interesting and the tour took us places that large tour buses cannot go. We never felt rushed at all. We toured Oia at a gentle pace (even with time to pet the cats!!) Maria took us to the blue dome churches and she stood in line so that we had time to take other photos. We learned so much about the past and the present. We also went to a small village, Megalochri, and saw original caves and ended with time at the black sand beach. Our shuttle from our cruise ship was late and they made things work. They recommended a great place to eat that the locals also love. In the end we felt like not only had we seen all of the island but that we gained friends too. Don't miss out on this! EXCELLENT
We had the most wonderful tour with Sara and Stelios. We ended up getting a private tour because the other group rescheduled. And we had the option of extending our tour to fit in more villages at a reasonable price. They contacted me before the tour the day before and were able to adjust our pick up spot so that it was closer to our Airbnb. The tour was in a large, clean van and they provided us with water if need be. They made sure to take us to spots where we would get the best views and allowed us some time to shop. They said they usually don’t have time for that in season, one of the pros of going to Santorini in March. The tour was able to take a more relaxed pace. They ended our tour at a lovely restaurant for lunch with fresh fish on the black sand beach. 5 star tour!
Stelios and Sarah were my guides for this tour and it was amazing. Despite going during the slow season they made it a really enjoyable experience and showed off how to get to places that would otherwise be filled with tourists and hard to reach during a busier time of year. Incredible experience.
We had an amazing experience on this small group tour in Santorini truly a must-do! Sara and Stelios were an incredible team…Sara our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, making every stop interesting and engaging. She knows many secret spots. Stelios, our driver, was equally fantastic, professional, safe, and always smiling, which made the whole day relaxed and enjoyable. The small group size made the experience feel personal and unhurried, and everything was perfectly organized. This tour exceeded our expectations and was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!
Itwas a very fun and enjoyable experience if i would hane the chance to do it again i would love to also the staff was very kind
We did a Semi tour with my family and we enjoyed it a lot. This time of the year qas very quiet and we did the tour in a nice very comfortable van. Our guide Sofia was very knowledgeable and very helpful. We recommend it to all of you in a very good price. We want to thanks also our driver Niko for the good driving on those narrow streets.
It was an awesome time to experience the charms of Santorini at this time of the year, (early winter) with our very friendly, accommodating tour guide Maria.
We had a wonderful experience, taking the semi private tour with Stelios and Maria. They were both friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. We got to explore five different little towns and villages and Maria was ready and willing to take our pictures, as she knew the best spots and angles to get beautiful backgrounds. I highly recommend You take this tour whenever visiting the beautiful island of Santorini.
We had a wonderful experience on the semi-private tour with Stelios and Maria, as our guides. They were both friendly and very knowledgeable about the island, as they took us through five different little towns and villages, explaining the history and interesting facts of each. Maria even knows the best angles and spots to take the most spectacular photos and she will take pictures of you and your group for you.I highly recommend you take this tour when visiting the beautiful island of Santorini.
We had a great tour with George, our driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable, timely, very courteous, covered all the sights on the tour and even more... The van was clean and comfortable. Communication with the tour operator was excellent.
Johanna or Joanna, my apologies, our tour guide was really great. Went to Oia and a few other towns beside Santorini and saw great scenic spots. It was awesome and would definitely recommend it. Keep in mind, depending on the time of year, the cable car system may have a long line. In Oct, only one ship so no problems at all.
We had a wonderful tour to the most scenic spots on the island. Our guide gave us very interesting information.
Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. It was great to be in a small group when there were so many people on the island at the same time
We stopped at several sights in Santorini. The guide was wonderful and was very easy to understand. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
This was a great way to see the island. I did expect to learn more information around the history of Santorini but we mostly got dropped off in different spots and told to walk around.
George was very informative and accommodating taking us all over Santorini and making our day very memorable! He made sure we saw everything that we wanted and was very knowledgeable and courteous! We would highly recommend for an unforgettable day spent in SANTORINI!🩷
Highly recommend the tour guide was fantastic and gave us great insight on the sites. Very helpful and patient also knowledgeable.
It was a great tour and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Santorini is a very unique place and tour presented the best of the island.
This tour was excellent! Both our guide and driver were knowledgeable about Santorini and very friendly. Firstly, our ferry was late to the dock, and this team did everything they could to make sure we were still able to participate in the tour (we were about 30 min behind). The manager Mr. Stelios coordinated with our tour guide and kept checking in on us until we got to the pick up point for the tour. They even took our luggage to hold. Very accommodating. Between stops, we were able to ask questions, so the tour was almost customized to our interests. The areas that we visited were perfect for photos, which the guide obliged us and took our photos. There were some crowds, but our guide did her best to avoid the busy pathways. We had a delicious lunch right on the black sand beach. We were able to eat lunch and utilize the loungers close to the water. Mr. Stelios also operates his vans like a ride service. We were in need of a late night ride home, and he accommodated us!
I did this tour and I had absolutely amazing time on the small group sightseeing tour in Santorini. From start to finish the experience was seamless and enjoyable. Our local guide was incredible knowledge and very friendly. The driver was also fantastic and had very good skills and made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the tour. This tour give us a deeper appreciation for Santorini beyond the typical tourist spots. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a well organised and enjoyable way to explore the beauty of the island with a small group and truly local touch.
Outside of Santorini (which is incredible) the driver and guide made the experience! We were so happy with Santorini tours! They made this stop one of our favourites, so accommodating!! Thanks to again to Stelios and his team for making this so memorable!! Thanks from Van - Can!
Wonderful! Nice and cool mini van, your guide was knowledgeable. They were so polite!! We saw everything we wanted to see
A fantastic trip. Nikki outstanding as a guide, knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was safe and experienced. Nikki was outstanding.
Great tour! Loved Nikki she was sweet and informative. You learned about the island of Santorini and Greece and got to stop all over the island including a nice relaxing beach highly recommend
Joanna was a fantastic guide through Santorini. She knew the island and its history so well and she gave us plenty of alone time to wonder on our own. She was great with my children and she gave us both the history and the current state of the island. Though it was very hot she maintained a cheerful attitude and led us through the winding streets of Santorini. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Joanna!
The tour was amazing.our tour gide Joanna was informative and friendly, our driver George was comfort and funny. We visited the village s of Oia and Megalochori ,we jhad fantastic photos in Firostefani and had a great time in the black beach.Definately recommended
Hello We want to share our experience in Santorini. We took this tour and we really enjoyed. It was amazing and fantastic tour. Oir guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a luxury van and very funny driver. We when to Oia and took the best fotos. We really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it to all.
It was rushed we only had 15 mins to see Santorini, shop and take pics. There was a great deal of other tourists so it was hard to even walk from one area to another , so again the short time we got was just enough to take a few pics. No bathroom break because we had to leave the guide didn’t have a flag for us to follow her or find her. This was a waste of money. We were disappointed and do not recommend this tour.
10/10 definitely recommend! So many beautiful sites seen that we wouldn’t be able to find on our own. So many good recommendations !
Our one-day private tour of Santorini was, without a doubt, one of the most magical days of our cruise. From start to finish, everything was seamless, personalized, and absolutely unforgettable. If you’re arriving in Santorini by cruise ship and only have a short time on this breathtaking island, I cannot recommend a private tour highly enough—it’s the best way to experience the highlights without stress or crowds. 🚤 Smooth Pickup from Tender Port Santorini doesn’t have a deep-water port, so cruise passengers arrive via tender boats to the old port of Fira. We were a little worried about logistics, but our tour operator provided clear and timely instructions. As soon as we arrived ashore, we met our guide near the base of the cable car station (be sure to take the cable car up—the views are amazing and it’s the quickest way to town). Our guide, Maria, greeted us warmly with a sign and a smile, and we were on our way in a spotless, air-conditioned Mercedes van within minutes. 📍 Perfectly Curated Itinerary Since it was a private tour, we had the flexibility to tailor the day to our interests. Maria suggested a perfect balance of iconic sights, local experiences, and photo stops—and she was absolutely right. 1. Oia Village We started with a morning visit to Oia, beating the cruise ship crowds. Oia is everything you’ve seen in postcards and more: gleaming white buildings, iconic blue domes, winding alleys, and panoramic cliffside views. Maria guided us through the lesser-known backstreets and quiet corners for the best photo ops—and we even had time for a relaxing coffee with a view. 2. Firostefani & the Famous Blue Dome Next, we stopped in Firostefani, a quieter village with stunning caldera views and the picture-perfect blue-domed church often seen in travel magazines. Maria even snapped a few family photos for us, which turned out beautifully. 3. Profitis Ilias Monastery We ascended to the island’s highest point for panoramic views stretching across Santorini’s entire crescent shape. Maria shared stories of the island’s volcanic history and local culture that added so much depth to the experience. 4. Megalochori or Pyrgos Village We chose to visit Megalochori, a charming, off-the-beaten-path village with cobbled lanes, bell towers, and quiet courtyards. It was a peaceful contrast to the more touristy spots and gave us a feel for traditional island life. 5. Local Winery Stop 🍷 No trip to Santorini is complete without tasting its unique volcanic wines. We stopped at a boutique winery for a relaxed tasting of Assyrtiko and other local varietals, accompanied by cheese, olives, and unforgettable views of the caldera. 🍴 Optional Lunch with a View We had the option to stop for a traditional Greek lunch, and Maria recommended a seaside taverna in Akrotiri. Fresh seafood, grilled vegetables, and Santorini tomatoes—absolutely divine. Dining with our toes almost in the sand while watching the boats go by was one of those moments you never forget. ⏰ Timely Drop-Off & Zero Stress Maria was constantly mindful of our ship’s schedule, adjusting the itinerary as needed to ensure we made it back with plenty of time. She dropped us off at the cable car entrance in Fira with over an hour to spare, and we were back on the tender boat with zero stress. 💡 Tips for Fellow Travelers • Book early—private tours in Santorini fill up fast, especially on busy cruise days. • Take the cable car up and down—it’s worth every minute for the views and convenience. • Wear comfortable shoes and sun protection, especially if exploring the cliffside villages. • Be clear about your must-see spots—a private tour lets you customize everything! 🌟 Final Thoughts Our private one-day tour of Santorini was everything we hoped it would be and more: efficient, luxurious, personal, and incredibly beautiful. With the cruise ship crowds and tight timing, we were so glad to have a knowledgeable local guide leading the way, showing us the hidden gems and iconic views without feeling rushed. This tour made our short time on the island feel rich, relaxed, and full of discovery. Whether it’s your first time in Santorini or a return visit, a private tour is the best way to experience the magic—and we’ll be dreaming about that view from Oia for a long time to come. Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5/5)
